There's a pause, rationale trying to cling and clear the potential air of whimsy in this moment. However, if there's one of many skills this Trailblazer is good at, it'd be the powerful of selective ignorance. Those eyes began to gleam at that damnable lotto ticket from the curious collection came to mind. Fina-fucking-ly! He'll be able to slam the damn thing out in return time!

Első EPAM Budapest Mobile Meetup

Október 15-én zajlott le az első EPAM Budapest Mobile Meetup - és mondhatni egész jól sikerült :). Két előadás volt a meetupon, Csanády István és Marinov Iván előadásában, mindketten profi előadónak bizonyultak - köszi nektek srácok! A Mobile Meetup az Epam berkein belül már 2014 március óta majdnem minden héten megrendezésre került - nagyon sok jó témában adtak elő a kollégák Windows Phone, Android és iOS-ről minden mennyiségben, illetve Xamarin-ról, PhoneGap-ről, de sok más IoT témát is érintettünk mint például a Raspberry PI, Netduino vagy a Spark.io.

A meetupon két prezentáció volt. Az elsőt Csanády István (Founder at Shapr) tartotta "Négy nyelv, egy app - C, C++, Objective-C, Swift egy projektben" címmel, ahol a Shapr alkalmazás architektúrájába engedett beletekinteni és nagyon jó optimalizációval kapcsolatos dolgokról is hallhattunk. Második előadóként Marinov Iván (Software Engineering Team Lead @ Epam Systems) lépett fel - ő a "QT: Platform független megoldás mobil alkalmazás fejlesztésre" című előadásával a QT egyszerűségére, könnyedségére világított rá ahol megláthattuk milyen egyszerű akár mobil alkalmazásokat is készíteni ezzel a megoldással.

A kötelező pizzás befejezés után a csapat egy része átvándorolt a Grund-ra a látottakat megbeszélni, illetve sör- és borfogyasztás mellett több-kevesebb sikerrel csocsóban villantani :) ...

Ezúton is köszi mindenkinek aki eljött!

Took me a couple hours but I got my Spark Core to read the temp outside through my terminal. 

Currently working on making it read tweets audibly from inanimate objects so I can tweet something to the object and project voice!

AAC Data Aggregation Exploration

As we develop the prototype, we are working to also see what data we can pull from Dustin’s Words that would give caregivers a better tool for introducing their child to a new teacher and physician. These professionals speak the data language fluently and can tell a lot about an individual from data. Like what therapies to prescribe for example or any behavioral issues that may be exhibited, for example.

Using Spark as our hardware and one of our software platforms for Dustin’s Words, we can easily push firmware updates through their cloud service. Another benefit would be the ability to use their proprietary application that would allow for easy at home Wi-Fi set up for the caregivers. We have been talking to and playing around with Freeboard.io for an analytics platform that, like mentioned above, caregivers can use to strengthen the bond between their family and the teachers and physicians while keeping them informed of what is going on in their loved ones life.

We are working with behavioral therapists and teachers to figure out which data points would best benefit all parities.
