The Lego Ninjago Movie but it’s a D:BH AU

@finn-m-corvex ask and I shall ramble :D

So basically— the Ninjago movieverse is styled like the world of Detroit:Become Human. Dr. Julien (who I hc in the m!verse is actually a good dad to his sons) builds Zane and Echo as the first sentient androids and takes great care of them— until his old coworker turns on him. This coworker, Jacob Harvey (nicknamed “The Mechanic”) captures Zane and wipes his memories while Dr. J and Echo manage to escape. Now armed with the plans to make nindroids, The Mechanic builds Cyberlife and starts his nindroid-selling empire.

He also has Cyrus captured to make more plans for him, leaving him with two assistant nindroids (Pixal “Pel” and Sentry, who obvious Cyrus goes “my kids now” and helps become deviant)

Zane was the original deviant in the sense that he was the original nindroid built to be sentiment and free (aka he didn’t need to be deviant), but after getting semi-reset he forgets and will need to become deviant to regain that ability

Now moving onto the others—

Lloyd is human (well, maybe still part oni-dragon because this IS Ninjago— the dragon is from his mom’s side, btw) and lives with Koko. Nya is his semi-adopted sister (Koko helps caretake for Maya and Ray while they travel on business trips).

Nya’s younger twin brother, Kai, is a nindroid (one of the “kid” models who’s specialty is “aging with human kids as a sibling so they don’t get lonely”). He originally does the chores at home because he’s expected to, but Nya and Lloyd help him become deviant because he’s scared he’ll get replaced if he doesn’t do the chores right. Kai’s the closest equivalent to “Kara’s story”, though less extreme, where Nya (who might secretly be a nindroid too, I’m not sure) runs away with him and Lloyd because a civilian finds out Kai’s deviant during the whole deviant situation and he becomes wanted.

(Side note— along with Kai came a 2-for-1 of the same model, a faulty nindroid names Kaigami who Koko took in for a while— this is the equivalent of movie!Bizarro Kai and later becomes the adopted sibling of movie!Cryptor)

Speaking of movie!Cryptor (or Zero, as I call him), he and Zane are the equivalent of “Connor’s story” where Zane needs to learn how to be deviant (again) while Zero is an incredible efficient deviant hunting nindroid (except, plot twist, he’s actually deviant and has been helping deviants escape for years by pretending to kill them). He was built by the Mechanic and he wants to take down his creator who sees him as nothing more than just a machine.

Rest of the Dorksquad time— Cole is human, though more of a cyborg after an accident (he’s kind of the ‘Cole Anderson’ equivalent, except he lives), and he stumbles upon Jericho by accident and befriends the nindroids there. He brings supplies from outside and updates them on news, and sometimes he DJs a bit for moral.

And Jay is the “Markus” equivalent. He’s an advanced prototype model that was gifted to Cliff Whoredon Gordon and worked for him for a little bit until he stumbled upon a meeting between Cliff and a mafia leader (named Master Chen). Cliff had him thrown to the junkyard in very rough shape where he managed to patch himself up with spare parts and was found and adopted by the young couple (Ed & Edna) running said junkyard. He then meets the rest of the squad and sorta accidentally becomes one of the leaders of the nindroid revolution as part of the “Secret Ninjaforce”.

Bonus— Chen (the Cheerleader) is also a nindroid who eventually gets kicked out by his human family, the Ambers (including movie!Skylor, who is an evil girlboss, and her dads, Master Chen and Clouse) and finds his way to Jericho as well

And yeah that’s the main basics, not too much else planned out yes (it was originally a SPBNR AU too, so show!Kai and show!Zane might show up, much to the latters bewilderment at how there are more nindroids but they are treated worse, and sometimes other show!nindroids make an appearance)

“Keep the red ninja alive, and make sure he doesn’t go home.” That had been Aki’s orders, but something must’ve gone wrong. Cause the fearless red ninja, the one he was a copy of- was making airplane noises as he ran around in circles.

He was now a small toddler, no older than 2 or 3, laughing and screaming as if his very existence didn’t bring disgust to Aki. He was looking forward to this. Aki would finally get time on his own, thinking Kai would be his usual age, he wouldn't have to worry about him unless he tried to escape. But now? He had to watch the brat. If he got injured so did he, if he ran off and got himself killed in this world, he would die too. Meaning he was stuck babysitting the guy he hated most.

Watching the brat play while screaming and laughing and it was starting to get on his nerves, but the sun would be setting soon, and he needed somewhere for him-- for them to sleep. Grabbing the kid's hand, he pulled him along, ignoring his whining as Aki looked for a good place to hunker down.

“Ow, ow ow!” Kai whined. They had been walking for a while and were near the edges of the city. Aki's own feet were starting to hurt from the wandering. Looking down at his charge, he met with a pout and a pair of adorable eyes holding his arms out. “Pick me up?”

“Cute. Y’know if I had a soul, you’d have an argument. Now c’mon we’re losing daylight.” Aki pulled the kid again, he was lagging behind but he just made sure he had a grip on his tiny hand as he marched onward. He thought about taking an alleyway as a shortcut, but most seem to be dead ends. Looking into one, he saw two figures; someone in a green jacket seemed to be getting mugged.

“Sucks to be him,” he muttered, walking away.

“Bwother!!”

Aki turned, seeing the toddler running towards the mugging. He watched, frozen in shock for a second as the child ran, trying to grab the mugger's knife. Surprising the guy and making him sweep his knife hand back. Aki felt pain flare in his face as the child screamed, and it broke him from his stupor.

Rushing the guy he tackled him into the wall, and the guy crumpled as the impact knocked the wind out of him. Grabbing his knife before he recovered, he held it to the guy's throat.

“Wait wait, don’t-”

“I won't do anything if you leave now and forget about all of this.” Aki hissed, and the guy scurried as soon as he finished. Threat gone, Aki took note of the rest of the scene. He heard crying and looking behind him he could see the guy in the green jacket comforting Kai, who was clinging to him like a lifeline.

The two made eye contact, and Aki almost recoiled. That was Lloyd, no wonder the kid did something so stupid. He growled and Lloyd jerked in surprise. “If you don't wanna end up like him, I suggest you run too.” And that got the kid to back off, making the kid cry harder as he backed away. Making Lloyd hesitate, concern in his eyes.

“Scram!” Aki screamed, and he was gone.

Leaving him alone with a screaming toddler.

“Kid, stop.” But Kai just ignored him. He probably couldn’t hear him with how loud he was being.

“Shut up!” He snapped but that only seemed to make him scream and cry more. At this rate, the noise was going to attract attention, or worse, cops.

Groaning, he crouched down so he was about eye level with the kid, he could see the cut on his cheek bleeding. “Uh, hey kid. It's ok, I chased off the guy. You can stop crying now,” he said calmly if a little awkwardly. He’s never had to comfort anyone before. Yet it seemed to kinda work, the screaming toned down, but the kid was still loudly crying.

“Uhh, hey. If you stop crying, I’ll carry you the rest of the way.” He bartered. They needed to get out of here fast, his gut screaming at him that he’s been out in the open too long.

But his promise caught Kai’s attention, tears were still falling, but his blubbering had mostly stopped. The kid lifted his arms, tiny hands making a grabby motion towards Aki. Sighing in relief, he picked up the little guy, who buried his head into his shoulder. Making sure he was comfortable, Aki set off again, looking for somewhere to sleep and now somewhere to patch them both up.

Ok so I might have made a oneshot about a au I made of same people but not really by @kittydemon9000 where kai got turned into a draconian a while ago and sent to the movie verse a draconian is basically a anthro dragon you do not need lore or info on them to understand this oneshot. I even did art on the bottom

Lloyd was burning up

It started off with him getting put at knifepoint oh how fun. He began to assess the situation as to how to get out of the situation with the least amount of cuts as possible when he felt it. It was getting so hot and it was a pretty cool day so to have this sudden heat was pretty weird even the guy seemed confused.

That's when he heard it growling very low growling sort of like a tiger and it sounded very close. Him and the guy looked over to the other end of the alleyway at what was causing the growling and that's when he saw it.

A dragon well it sort of looked human like because of how it was standing on 2 legs. It had red scales on top with a sort of peach underside it also appeared to have spiky hair and had a mane running down to its tail and the crazy part was that it was on fire! It also had very sharp looking claws and it was also pretty tall not gigantic about the height of a tall person maybe around 6'4 but it was hard to get a estimate when your pinned to a wall. Also did he mention that the dragon looked extremely pissed. It was growling and bearing its extremely sharp looking teeth that looked even sharper than the sharks his dad uses. Spilling out the sides of its mouth was also fire and he can see embers come off of its hair and tail. It didn't have any pupils though it was just colored like fire and he did have to admit they looked pretty and cool if he wasn't so terrified. The mugger also looked terrified at the creature as it began to walk towards them the growling getting even louder and it seemingly getting even hotter.

The dragon lets out a very loud roar before spewing out flames at the mugger that seem to pass over lloyd like it wasn't aiming for him. The mugger was badly burnt but still standing but very scared.

"Leave now unless you want me to make your body unrecognizable" the dragon said to the mugger and glaring down with such malice that if he could he would just disintergrate right then and there.

The dragon turned to lloyd the happiness that the mugger left quickly turned to fright thinking the dragon was about to attack him instead. He closed his eyes waiting for the flames but he felt nothing in fact he could even feel the alleyway cool down alot. He reluctantly opened his eyes and to his surprise the dragon is just staring at him luckily without any malice at least he hopes without any.

Smoke was no longer coming out of its nostrils and the flames around its mouth were gone,the embers that were coming off of its hair and mane were gone. What he noticed most was its eyes they changed from the firey color to more normal eyes they were brown with a slit pupil and the color of those eyes looks familiar to lloyd he just doesn't remember where were.

He was reluctant to say anything in case he angered the dragon again but luckily it spoke first. "Hey are you okay?" It asked with a growly voice. Was lloyd hearing this dragon right was he ok? He doesn't even know if he is at the moment. "Uhm yeah I'm fine thanks for helping me" he managed to say without showing too much fear.

The dragon looked at him almost sad but also he appeared to be a bit confused? Why? Why would he be confused who knows what goes through a dragons mind. "Do you know why that guy attacked you?" he asked while his tail is twitching(lloyd is pretty sure it's a he with the sound and tone of his voice)

"Its just because of who I am its nothing new" he said while looking away . The dragon looked even more confused it tilted its head at him. "Uhm who are you exactly?" he asked.

Ok so he isn't so surprised this dragon doesn't know I mean he has never known or seen a dragon in this city and he would best guess its from somewhere far away or even from another dimension or there is maybe a secret island full of these human dragon things and one just happened to be flying by when he saw him getting mugged though he highly doubts that's a coincidence but decides to let it go for now.

"I'm Lloyd garmadon son of lord garmadon the villan who destroys ninjago city all the time. Now that you know you can run I won't judge you." He said while looking away waiting for something bad to happen. If he were looking at the dragon he would have noticed that it looked even more shocked and took a step back before stepping forward again.

"Look Lloyd I don't care who you are or who you are related to I just saw a person in need and I helped out even the sons of villans deserve to be helped and saved " the dragon said while crossing his arms. Lloyd couldn't believe it he told him about who he was and his father and the dragon didn't run away. He looked at the dragon and smiled.

"Well thanks for being one of the few people who didn't run away or hate me when they found out for who I was. That reminds me what is your name?" He asked curious. The dragon smirked with a few of the sharp teeth showing. "No problem I will help out anytime and just call me Torch now I gotta go Lloyd but don't worry I'm sure we will meet again" he said before spreading his wings and taking off. Lloyd tried to make Torch stop but it was too late he was already gone.

Behold! Mer movieverse AU Nya!

She’s a Rift Leviathan, a species of leviathan @impulsivefanwriter created for this AU that some friends and I helped with fleshing out!

There’s a shallow water and deep water variant of the species (Nya is the shallow water variant while Kai is the deep water variant), and the species was once beloved protectors of Merlopia and other underwater civilizations, however, in the last century, their numbers have dwindled in the wild, and one hasn’t been seen in decades.

They’re also mutual predators with krakens, and both species have evolved to defend against the other.

Drew an AU version of movie!Kai (Red). In this AU, all the members of the Dorksquad (who have not met each other yet) are forced to be evil and work for various villain groups.

Red is unfortunately part of Char’s evil magic Fire Snakes gang, and is partly transformed into a snake with magic to match. He gets to see his sister, who’s the High Priestess of the Merlopian Wojira Cult, once in a while and just wants things to go back to the way they were before.

In the SPBNR AU version, Smith (show!Kai) finds out about the Dorksquad and proceeds to rescue all of them while introducing them to each other
