Sometimes I think now and then about uploading more speedpaints of my art on here... I haven’t for the longest time cause I didn’t know how to watermark them 😂 but I recently took the time to figure that out (and if I forgor already I can figure it out again asdlfkjSDLKJSDGS) I keep going back and forth on it because most  of them... well the quality is kinda crunchy? Its not going to be some 4k looking masterpiece, and especially some of the smaller details might get lost in translation (Clip Studio’s Speedpaints especially are always crunchy 😔) IDK if I’d still upload them very often, cause If I record them raw with OBS i actually have to. ya know. VIDEO EDIT (Sometimes I listen to the same songs on loop for 3 hours and I gotta silence their screams of pain xD) But eh I think it could be fun. If i did they also probably wouldn’t have any music. But IDK if ya’ll have any braincells about it I’d be interested to hear. I make no promises either way because I could just decide its not worth the effort ^^;; but I felt like rambling about this on main so *throws this down like a cake on pavement*

I’ve been watching a few Super Mario Galaxy videos lately, but it’s enough to need to make a whole painting out of it because that game is soooo good. I love the music especially, but there are some really beautiful moments in the game as well. I love it when you go to your first planet (Gateway Galaxy, which is also pictured in this lol) and it’s just so strikingly quiet and peaceful. It’s just amazing and I love it so much. Ugh now I might have to go play it!!

Your girl is starting a new series: Speedpaint Saturday!

Every Saturday I will upload a drawing I did as well as a speedpaint. Today I decided to draw my main character from my story as an 8-year-old girl, before all hell broke loose and her widowed father was murdered. I cannot draw children for the life of me because whenever I do, they'll just look like normal adults- just shorter. I also decided to try a new shading technique, and I like how it turned out, however, it will definitely improve in quality with more practice. This was really fun to do and let me know if you'd want me to continue this series!

At the beginning of 2023, I made a resolution to make more art that wasn't just D&D assets (lol) At the end of 2023 when I did my art review, a whole 4 of those 12 pieces that I was the weren't D&D assets. Mind you I did still draw a LOT last year and my art has improved quite a bit!

But I think the problem was my goal was too vague.

So this year I have a more specific goal. And it ties in nicely with having a brand new computer that needs brand new desktop wallpapers to go with it :P

So I present to you "SpeedPaint Saturday" on the first Saturday of each month I will have painted and recorded a new painting that isn't for D&D assets (though D&D characters are fair game and frankly, highly, highly likely to feature in at least 90% of them)

So with that said, here is my painting for January 2024:

Featuring my character Haddy, and Kop and Morpha, who both belong to @vwildmonk, committing some arson. As you do.

Poluotok (Peninsula) is the Old Town of Zadar. Each picture was painted in 30min from my photo reference. -On the corner by the People's Square -Zoranić and cat -Small Arsenal (part of the town fortifications and until his death in 2017, the atelier of artist Josip Špralja) -Saturday morning -Two dolphins cafe -Malo Misto (shop named after the popular TV series) -The bridge at night -By the Roman gate
