We need to pour one out for my girl Athena. Just imagine her listening to Apollo and Nahyuta trade barbs and there's like? A signifigant amount of emotions in both of their voices?? And not just for stuff pertaining to the case??? Like, they will say "good morning" as they pass each other in the lobby and theres enough sorrow and anger and happiness and grief that it's lowkey giving her a migraine????
And then she asks Apollo if he knows this guy and all he has to say is "...... I've heard of him."

*a few weeks later*
Apollo, hearing his boss landed and immediately accepted a defense case: fuck

It's called The Apollo Justice Trilogy because every game concludes by asking the question "What if Apollo Justice just had the worst week of his entire life?"

Utterly enchanted by Rayfa's dialogue. She's a fourteen year old who uses the words "impudent" and "posthatse". She correctly uses "a score" to refer to a period of twenty years. She also says "chop-chop" when she wants people to cut out her enemies tongues faster. She hopes that the main character's suffering is "super duper painful". She gets startled and exclaims "heavens to betsy". I've only had her for one case and already if anything happened to her I'd kill everyone in the building.

Underrated part of Spirit of Justice is when Ema finds out Nahyuta is Apollo's older brother and you get to watch as she comes to the realization that Apollo ALSO has My Aloof Older Sibling Is A Prosecutor Who I'm Pretty Sure Values A Cold And Logical Pursuit Of Justice Over Me issues, and she has also just finished bitching to him about said older sibling, who is, in fact, her boss.

Let's think about this whole series of events from Nahyuta's perspective real quick. You're doing your normal work things (you travel a lot) when suddenly out of the blue your little brother who you've kinda resigned yourself to never seeing again shows up AT YOUR JOB. And you both have a lot of issues regarding this so you don't exactly talk but it's still wild it happened. Well time to leave the country and probably never see him again. Except you go back home and this american tourist is at your office and he's like hey I heard you were picking on my employee. And it TURNS OUT your little brother not only went into the same field as you (makes sense), he also works for this random american guy who for some reason is in your home country on vacation (makes less sense). Just when you think things can't get any worse, your second dad breaks out of prison, shows up to your work and calls you by your dumb childhood nickname in front of all your coworkers.

Obsessed with The Rite of Turnabout actually. Maya has not learned her lesson about going to isolated mountain spiritual training grounds. There's so much lore about the kingdom's delicate political balance and their intricate religious practices. There was a third party at the scene of the crime who got there by literally falling out of the sky. This has little to no bearing on the case at hand. Merch for a children's tv show is a vital part of the court record. We are introduced to the concept of meta murder strategies designed to befuddle people who can talk to ghosts. A witness reveals he made up every single part of his testimony, hops in place, and then vanishes from the court. Nahyuta is sweating bullets the whole time and trying to play 5d mind chess and meanwhile his co-conspirator won't stop eating lizards and claiming to have amnesia.

The Apollo Justice Trilogy was very great for asking "What if you shared a deep, emotional, and important bond with someone, but just. Couldn't fucking stand having them as a coworker?"

It's illegal for two lawyers from the same firm to represent opposing sides in a civil case. So what bonkers lie do we think Phoenix told the judge in order to make go along with it.

Extremely funny of them to just throw in the fact that Datz prints out pictures of people he doesn't like and tapes them to a dartboard so he can dramatically throw a knife through their face midsentence. This explains so much about Apollo.

Equal parts sweet and hilarious to me that Athana is not allowed to participate in The Courtroom That Can Kill You.
Athena: Hey, I can help! Let me stand in the courtroom with you!
Phoenix *flashing back to the last time Simon Blackquill thought Athena was in even a modicum of danger*: haha let's not

Very important to incorporate Apollo Justice's backstory into trans headcanons. He could have been princess and contested heir to the throne and instead decided to be Just Some Guy.

Wait hangon I'm having a thought.
Nahyuta learning Apollo became a defense attorney and immediately reading up on every case he's ever taken. Nahyuta learning about all the events of the past two games. Nahyuta on some international flight, trying to absorb everything that's happened in his little brother's life and realizing the crushing extent of everything he's missed.

Spirit of Justice I love a lot of the things you're selling, but I am sorry to announce that you will never convince me that Dhurke Sahdmadhi can speak english.

Things I love about Turnabout Storyteller:
- Simon's theme suddenly coming in when he states his name and occupation on the stand.
- Simon's 'Silence!' bubble and voice stab being used when he cuts Nahyuta off.
- Getting to see the side profile of his stupid bench lean.
- A S S I T A N T S I M O N S P R I T E S
- wow his ponytail is so big you don't realize it until you're looking at it from the side
- Simon Blackquill weeb autism
- Uendo Toneido

Something very sweet to me about Dhurke revealing that he had a lot of odd jobs before he became a lawyer. Like, of course Apollo's dad coincidentally lines up with the exact chaotic vibe of The Wright Anything Agency. Of course we return to the grounded reality that pursuing Truth and Justice is all well and good, but sometimes, you just gotta keep the lights on. And of course one of those odd jobs was street busker, making this YET ANOTHER RELATIVE OF APOLLO'S WHO IS A MEMEBER OF THE PERFORMING ARTS. HE CANNOT ESCAPE THEM.
