#splatfest results are announced at 3 am

We all chose team Big Man, right? 💙💛🩶

This was inspired by that scene in the first episode of tmnt 2012 where Splinter picked Leonardo to be the leader simply because he asked if he could. I felt it was fitting for this Splatfest’s theme.

I tried to get this out before the Splatfest started, but I’m really slow at drawing. At least I got it out before the Splatfest ended though.

The Splatoon 3 characters from the band Deep Cut (Shiver the octoling, Frye the inkling, and Big Man the manta ray) are sitting in the studio. They listen to the jellyfish producer of their splat cast talk to them about the newly announced Splatfest theme.

Jellyfish: Even though results show that 70% of your fans like how there is no leader of Deep Cut, this next Splatfest might change that.

Big Man: Ay? (Can I be the leader?)

Shiver: Why should you be the leader?

Big Man: Ay, ay. (I help others with their problems, and am very supportive.)

Shiver: Okay, sure. But I win most of the Splatfests. Plus I’m smarter than both of you put together. It should be me.

Frye: No way! It should be me! I don’t have any specific reasons why I should be the leader. I just think it should be me.

Shiver: Cadence! Help us settle this.

The inkling known as Cadence (who definitely isn’t the artist’s self insert character) stops eating her cookie at the snack table upon hearing her name.

Frye: Who do you think would be the best leader?

Cadence: Hmm. This is a very difficult decision. I will meditate about this.

She leaves the room, closing the door behind her. Seemingly to go meditate. However, merely seconds later she opens the door again, wearing a red Big Man Splatfest shirt.

Cadence: It’s Big Man.

She closes the door again.

Big Man: Ay? (No hard feelings, Shiver?)

Shiver storms off, upset that Cadence didn’t choose her, while Frye giggles to herself.
