YOU GUYS i need to infodump about this show to someone so i chose yall

the show is called spliced, it's about mutant animals on an island and idk i got attached to the characters so easily after 1 episode.... they all have likable traits and that's great!

the show does get a little gross sometimes (fart jokes, booger/earwax jokes, and there's an entire episode where one the main characters indulges himself on so much mayonnaise and he creates a mayo monster and... eugh it's pretty gross)

one of the things i like most about this show is that the episodes all have different plots. the main villain, mister smarty smarts, doesn't appear every episode and that leaves room for more variety without involving villains

i will say though that this guy is one of my favorite characters and his appearances always make me smile!! he's always like "fuck gender stereotypes, i wanna wear a dress!" and i adore him for that

i already have lgbt+ headcanons for these characters and i'd be estatic to share them with yall if you want!

one thing that confuses me about this show is peri and entrées relationship.. they go from being best friends to fighting eachother physically to being best friends again and it's so confusing to follow with? aside from that though they are a likable duo

OHHHOJHHH let's not forget the visuals!!!!! for example i like how when the characters are in the dark, they just become white outlines instead of floating eyes like most other cartoons! it's different and looks great

that's all i have to say for this show, i'd love to talk to yall about it more though!!

Since it's your birthday, can you tell us more about your spliced OCs? Trunks, Forcep and the Goat/eel mutant?

Oh wow it's been too long since I've talked about them, but of course! Let me do this while it's still my birthday in my time zone.

Trunks, an elephant/bat/tarantula combination mutant! Made for intensely strong senses that come from each of it's animal components. Often using that ability to find lost belongings of Keep Away Island's population! He is a gentle giant, though he subtly digs at Entrée and Peri every time one of the lost items he searches for is found with them (which is quite often).

Forcep, a mouse/crab/beaver mutant! Made for their small stature combines with precision built in thanks to the beaver instincts and sharp crab claws on their lower set of arms. They help with patching up the various other mutants on Keep Away, because as durable as they are they are more than capable of actually getting hurt. One mutant they help often is Delia (@pinky-the-polar-bear) because of how sometimes he quite literally just.. falls apart! They are quite intrigued by Patricia, and also have to patch her up due to her non-mutant nature allowing her to be more susceptible to harm.

The goal/eel mutant is an aquatic resident of Keep Away, staying in the water around the island, never straying too far. Not a ton is known about him, but it IS known that they are aggressive, and prefer to keep to themself. And though it can breathe air thanks to its goat genes, it hardly does, preferring to stay in the water.
