Midsummer love spell💐✨

In Sweden on Midsummer’s Eve we have a tradition that young girls often perform (but anyone can do it really) and after talking to a friend who had never heard of it I thought it couldn’t hurt to share it since it feels very witchy.

The jist of it is that you’re supposed to dream about the person you will marry/enter a relationship/fall in love with/spend your life with.There are 2 stages to this ritual:

💐Stage 1: once the sun starts setting you leave your home to pick 7 or 9 different flowers. They all have to be different so you can’t pick 2 of the same kind.

As soon as you step outside you must not speak to anyone or utter a word. If you break the silence it’s all over and you’ll have to try again next year (which would suck) no singing, humming or anything else either.

DISCLAIMER: make sure to be safe and maybe tell someone beforehand that you’re going out and bring a phone in case of emergency since going out after dark can be dangerous. If you feel unsafe return home immediately. Do not pick flowers if you’re unsure if they’re poisonous or not.

💐Stage 2: once you return home with the flowers you have to head directly to bed (hence why the ritual is performed in the evening/night). Put the flowers under your pillow, go to sleep and dream about your future significant other! 🌸

You can wash the flowers to get rid of any unwanted bugs or dirt and you can put the flowers in a bag/satchel if you’re worried about stains or leaves getting all over the bed
