you know as someone fairly new to Super Robot Wars (30 specifically) i'm just curious

did anyone else ever think like. the presence was gonna be "oh so for whatever reasons, maybe portals in time and space which lets them all interact!" and in turn get completely caught off guard when the opening prologue talks about the One Year War and then kaijus and then fucking Emperor Lelouch was here too and then Mazinger Z is also canon

A thought comes to mind when playing SRW 30.

In the event that Ernie shows up, one of the characters comments that he seems to be taking being in another world rather well.

While this can partly be attributed to him being Isekai-ed, I'd like to propose another theory:

The reason he takes it so well is because, from the moment he makes his appearance in game, he is fully aware he's in an SRW universe.

Back during his life as Kurata, it's likely he played SRW games religiously, so I'm fairly certain he is fully capable of recognizing when he's in one.

And if he had any doubts, they would have been completely resolved the moment he saw that one of the robots just so happens to be a Huckebein.

tl;dr, Ernesti is fully aware he's in an SRW plot over the entire course of the game.

SRW30 isn’t all too good, but the HayaRyo content is on point. First picture is upon meeting Shin Getter Dragon, and the second is after Go brings Hayato and Benkei to rejoin Ryoma.

There's too much good dialog here with a 30 image limit in posts, and I want to stick to one post per mission, but of COURSE Mamoru would get a bit intense with Shadow-Maru because of Volfogg. ;o;

Mamoru, Mic Sounders the 13th is my favorite of the GGG 'bots, but this is maybe a bit much. /wheeze

15/10 mission, I was not expecting this interaction at all with these two series but I'm glad I got to witness Gunmax completely obliterate himself from embarrassment

HG Cybaster

He's finally complete!

Cybuster (or Cybaster, Psybuster, etc...) is one of the oldest Banpresto Originals - robots designed by Banpresto just for the Super Robot Wars series of games.

Pilot Masaki Endoh (not that one) and his two talking cats - Kuro and Shiro - pilot the Cybuster across dimensions.

It's a cool fusion of sci-fi and fantasy, and the Cybuster is a beast in these games. One of my favorite units. So I was very excited to get the model kit.

I don't paint my kits, unfortunately. So the pearlescent finish here was a big selling point for me. The build itself is satisfying, and cutting parts from the runner rarely causes any issues with the finish.

But the plastic quality is what you'd expect from Bandai. Very light, very thin. It gives the completed robot a sleight feel - and makes it difficult to pose. Because the joints have more resistance than the weight of the plastic (if that makes sense)

And I hear the Alt Eisen kit is even worse in that regard.

I use a graphite pencil marker to add shading and panel lining. It's not as harsh as a black panel lining pen, it's easier to control the line thickness, and it's transparent enough to just add shading.

It looks a little rough under the macro lens and long exposure - but in person, with natural lighting, it adds a very subtle color variation to an otherwise solid color kit.

But I do love the way he came out. I can't wait to take more pictures of him with the rest of my Banpresto Originals crew.

I didn't grab the dialog but apparently they've been sitting on the floor this whole time which sounds absolutely hilarious. Like a giant robot sleepover or something. I wonder if Shadow-Maru had his doghouse wolfhouse built before then and he just chilled in it when not doing ninja stuff, and everyone was having to sit at his level lmaoo

I beat the true final boss of SRW30 today, meaning the game is officially done!

Here's my stats and such by the end.

Was a fun ride. Very long though. I'm definitely going to play more of this series in the future, but it's gonna be a little while until I do so.

Extra note: I beat the true final boss at full strength, too. Goldion Finger is busted as hell.
