Paul Atreides: The Sun Eating fire is your ambition: to swallow the flame down take it into your mouth and shoot it forth, a shout or an incandescent tongue, a word exploding from you in gold, crimson, unrolling in a brilliant scroll. Jerk Ford AU: And This is Jack*ss
Tumblr media
Their high school science teacher said "A perpetual motion machine is only hypothetical, because it is impossible, since its existence would violate the first and second laws of thermodynamics."
And Jerk Ford in response said "Hold my beer."
Tumblr media
[Art by: @tearosepedall]
While he was building that (and the school was investigating whether or not Ford was actually drinking underaged), Stan had another set of worries.
At this point the twins had both already talked about applying to Backupsmore together, and while Stan was still worried about a potential separation, this time it wasn't because he was afraid of being left behind.
This time he was freaking out because if he went to Backupsmore while his brother went to West Coast Tech, who was going to keep Ford reigned in??
If Stan wasn't there to minimize the damage, who's to say his fellow students and college administration wouldn't chase him out of the whole state with pitchforks and torches or something?!
Stan wasn't protective over Ford in this AU because he didn't need to be protected from anything except maybe himself. If anything, everything else needed to be protected from him.
---
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In a random dimension at an undetermined time between the 1980s and 2012, Jerk Ford and one of the many variations of Rick Sanchez pass each other on the street.
"What a d**k." They both think at the same time, but say nothing.
---
Tumblr media
This is the same man who, despite also being aromantic, spent an entire year pretending to court an all-seeing, two-dimensional, demon triangle.
Jerk Ford had romantic speeches, lovey-dovey praises, drew detailed, flattering sketches, and built a functioning interdimensional portal that he wasn't intending to use.
Just to say that he catfished a God.
The limit to his jackassery remains to be seen.
---
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Most interactions with other people on an informal level (and also formal) are handled by Stan on Fords behalf, otherwise nothing would ever get done.
Stanley had to actually beg Fiddleford to help Stanford with the portal project. Fiddleford and Ford are friends, but Fiddleford can only handle Ford for so long before he's absolutely done.
As for the construction of the cabin... a paid job is a paid job, but anything that required direct interaction was solely taken care of by Stan, or Ford as long as Stan was close by to mediate. Because the one time Boyish Dan tried discussing plans with Ford alone, it ended with Boyish Dan agreeing with construction plans only if Ford agreed to take the farthest available plot of land.
---
Tumblr media
Yes, I am familiar with Nine Lives Lee selling his own hate merch. But no, Jerk Ford does not make, distribute, or sell his own hate merch. He was never an enterprising spirit.
However, he does steal his own hate merch. He's done it the times he snuck into their club meetings. The shirt he wears under his hoodie is actually a Ford Hate Club shirt; it's a long sleeved black shirt with this logo on the front:
Tumblr media
That is The (Jerk) Ford Hate Club official logo, because they don't hate all Stanford Pines across that multiverse, just that guy in particular.
---
Jerk Ford's antics are often compared to skits from the tv and film series "Jackass", in fact the name of his dimension "PJC311" is derived from the host Johnny Knoxville, whose real name is Philip John Clapp, and whose birthday is 1971/03/11.
The funny, ironic thing, is that this is what older Knoxville looks like:
Tumblr media
Considering that Jerk Ford is thin compared to Canon Ford...
Yeah, that's Jerk Ford guys.

Clint laughs as he asks what got him on Jessica Drew's shit list, which he knows the both of them will get in trouble for even talking about her like this; or at least Clint did. He's never sought out to make himself swallowable for other people; they liked him, they didn't. They clapped at his performances, or they weren't impressed. And if they weren't impressed, well he would like to see them try, he would like to see them survive.
Jessica Drew didn't like him, and that's on him for being an asshole by. . . . well, he never claimed to be smart or mindful of his words. No brain to mouth filter. ❝ Well, when I first met her I called her Carol and in my defense, she was blonde and her 'nd Sparkle are like cojoined twins or those people who start to look like their dogs. ❞ Yeah, he'd be one of those people if Bobbi hasn't kept Lucky in the divorce.
Clint defines himself with words, but they were always the wrong words. Orphan, runaway, carnie, father, ex-husband; PILOT. Those were his words, who he was going to be but Clint could fit into any role he's put into; because the right words were competent, diligent, compassionate, devoted, clever. IT'S NEVER THOSE WORDS.
It's nouns, it's the troubles he's caused and not the troubles he's been through, not what he survived and he could do given any amount of time, any amount of need. Clint was a good pilot, because there were only two options and no greys; be good or go home. And he's never had a home to go to, and certainty not when he came to Starfleet.
He's a malleable element, went wherever he could fit and piloting his new skill; he liked the challenge of piloting, of navigation, and maybe there's a tale about a boy with no home being a pilot, learning navigation, and on starship sailing through the stars.
ASKING THE CAPTAIN TO TAKE HIS WORD ⸻ It's a big, it's taking the hard-earned trust that Leonard was right about him and Jim, that he was good people and he'd get along better with; extending it out to Jim beyond the bar nights from the Academy days; and let him prove that he's a guy to always have in the Captain's corner. Asking for a leap of faith, to not look into Clint and let him give him the pieces; PROVE HIMSELF.
His blues hold on Jim's, nodding his head at the glance and telling him the small pieces about himself; about how he feels about Iowa and where he came from. There's a lot of wounded pride, some shame, but he's not coming from a place ever where he wouldn't admit to where he's been.
Tumblr media
The OH I SEE gets Clint to chuckle, because he's not sure what he thought about him before but ex-wife was a definitely the word to pick out there. ❝ That's why Lenny's my drinking buddy, brotherhood forged in following the same guide in how to wreck your marriage. ❞ There's a laugh, something tight in his chest because it's the first bond he's formed since the proverbial day everything went wayside. It's an important bond, one held onto tightly. They got sober togehter, shared in the hell of trying to repair themselves. Pride felt over this bond too, something he's sure that Jim will relate to. They shared friends, people they loved. They should know each other better.
Clint's not feeling like he'll share much more than that, but if the captain humors him more like this than he's bound to talk more about Bobbi Bird, at the least. She was a huge part of him. ❝ Really? Not an ounce? ❞ He says coolly, but just as Jim didn't dig; than Clint won't either. Believe it or not, Clint's not going to pick at someone else's scab; not if he doesn't want to hurt them and he doesn't want to hurt.
Except, there are a few things that he does pick out from what Jim had to say that Clint is going to comment on.
Observations, things he could identify with and being a few years sober now, which felt like a hell of a climb and gave him clarity. WISEDOM, something he could try to impart. ❝ There's something I learnt, it's called PERSONAL hell, not just HELL. It follows you where you go. ❞ And doesn't Clint know that well, he lives with his in his person. It lives with the Captain too, but he's not pushing.
❝ I don't see myself getting old either, hell, it's feat I did find a way to make it to my thirties. ❞ There's a lot to that, a loaded statement. ❝ DON'T COUNT YOURSELF OUT ⸺ I mean, god I can't figure out if I'm going to be the hottest looking old man alive or the ugliest son of a bitch. ❞ He changes course, adding a bit of humor for levity. Allow for Jim to latch onto that, and change the topic as he pleases.

it’s  hard  for  him  not  to  think  both  as  a  friend       &       as  a  captain  as  Clint  reveals  more  of  his  observations.       he  possesses  qualities  that  make  him  ideal  for  particular  missions  that  require  a  certain  finesse,       a  chameleon-like  adaptability  to  seamlessly  blend  in       &       extract  the  necessary  information.

Hihi, just here to drop one of my long theories :)
**My theory when it comes to Wardens age** starts off with the background and context clues often provided in wardens younger years. As well as clues when it comes to Pauls age which I will elaborate more on later. Starting off, I believe Warden was born roughly around 1942, this is due to multiple smaller details. Starting off with clothing, Warden has worn a pin hat which went into production in 1948. Which would make sense even after wardens fathers death, due to the implication Jarum was the one taking the photos of warden, which we see in the episode “Ghosts”. Jarum, Is also seen wearing arm garters, these had spiked in popularity once more in the 1920s-1940s they went out of fashion way before the 60s. Another hint
towards the times was the fact Wardens father had an oppression award on his wall, Along side that warden had legos, due to legos coming out in 1947, meaning warden was roughly 5 when his father had died. Another hint towards the times was the fact Wardens father had a horse glue factory, which had started to become less and less from the 1920s-1960s. Another thing that comes to mind is when Warden uses the term “Mogul” which is often used to describe someone who had ran a large business from the late 19th century to the early 20th centuries, which can heavily imply that Warden was definitely raised in an earlier time. When we learn that during Bunny Love, we also learn that Warden had to leave the system to start superjail after he had presented his ideas. Meaning he had to of been at least of age to be able to requeset such ideas to a board. If we are going off of him being birthed in 1942, and add roughly 22 years, that would put us in the year 1964, which is highly important to this time line due to When the book “charlie and the chocolate factory” Came out. Which is important due to Warden being based off of Willy Wonka. And one year earlier is when Alcatraz was shut down, which would make sense for a prison to be based off one of the most well known prisons, which would also make sense due to Gary and Bird being based off an inmate that came from Alcatraz.
So, If warden had left the system in 1963, and had to build superjail and arrange everything and add an extra three years for build time of everything, that would place us at superjail year one which we learn in superjail six. We learn this due to everything being 60’s based, specifically due to their clothes but also because skinny is turning 66, And it would make logical sense for the year to also be 66. Placing Warden already at the age of 24 in 1966. In season 1, superjail takes place roughly in 2006-2008, season two takes place in 2011, and season 3 takes place 2012 through 2014, we learn this due to “Oedipus Mess”. Season 4 is quite interesting, if we assume Planet Radio, Burnstoolie Burn, Superhell, The last pack and Jean & Paul & Beefy & Alice, all take place in the same timeline due to the fi/re destroying everything in Superhell, and in the superjail Inquisitor they are still building the prison due to superhell. Although, we do learn that in Superstorm it takes place in 2019. Meaning that is a whole 5 year jump. Placing Warden roughly at 77 in 2019. And 82 in 2024.
**When it comes to The Doctors age** I used alot of knowledge that I already had due to him “Being a young officer during the war” Which we learn in “Vacation”. What is considered a young SS officer during WW2? Well, that is anywhere from the ages of 17-23, If we assume he was at least 18 at the start of the war, and had a training period of 1 ½ years, which is the requirement during then, that would place him at 19/20 in 1941. When the war had ended in 1945 he wouldve been 24 years old. Another reason why I went with the age of 18 was due to the fact he had explained that he has been captured before, Germany had started to go down hill in 1943, and he had explained he had been captured, so it gives a decent solid time line. Season 1, 2006-2008, he would’ve been 86, in Season two he was 90(2011), Season 3-parts of season 4 he was 93, and In superstorm and superjail six he is roughly 98 years old. And Lastly 45 in the flashback in Superjail six.
**Then for when I mentioned Paul**, This is because we find out he was born in 1932, Potentially, this is due to where his birth date was located there was simply just a 32. We learn this in “Sticky Discharge”, which takes place in 2012. And Paul has already been at superjail for an existing 50 years, placing Paul at the year 1962, meaning he was an inmate in Wardens fathers prison aswell as Wardens. But if we subtract 1932 from 2012 and then subtract 50 years from that we learn he went to prison at the age of 30. Placing Paul at 81 years old in 2012, and 88 in 2019, then 93 in 2024.
Anyways, my favorite character is the doctor and I honestly believe he deserves a lot more representation than he gets. (I say as I'm one of the few people who has made fan art of him 💔)
HOLY SHIT!
this is some crazy good analysis, like no joke this is really good. the amount of details you're keeping up with is actually crazy. keep up the good work op!

I hate that this is going to be an unpopular opinion but I feel it has strong merit:
The main reason people have been up in arms about AB since she entered the chat is because of her age.
I’m willing to bet 100% that if she was about 10 years older, or simply around his age, there would 50% less toxicity, while 50% of the fandom would still dislike her simply because she was with him. They would still dig up on her and the fact that she’s an obvious lazy opportunist would still be factored in, but they would treat her more like how they treat Annabelle Wallis since she is dating SS. Some don't mind her, some hate her, some like her/don't care. She'd be another boring blip in the radar.
The big thing here is that many of CE’s fandom wanted him to be a guy who “doesn’t date younger women” because that’s such a big deal for some of these people. It’s not for me, because despite whatever bs some people love making up on the internet, CE has always dated women his age and seems to get along best with people in his age group. If you look at his known relationships, both romantic and platonic, he gets along with women and men and his best friend of forever is older than him. His known exes are his age. His friend group outside of HW (and within it) are mostly people he’s known since HS and they’re all in his age group. His known flirtations with women in the industry have mostly been in his age group. these are real patterns that reflect and trying to make assumptions because he followed actresses or influencers in their 20s makes little sense because hate to say it, thats most guys married or not. He clearly connects best with people who understand the same references and cultural upbringing. You can see it when he talks to others. People bring up his old GQ interview where he was flirting with the reporter who did the spread. Guess what - they seemed to vibe because they were the same age and from the same area. She even wrote how he seemed to love that they got the same references and it just made it easier to connect. You usually do that with people in your same generation or demographic. I think the same thing happened with him and Jenny. Same age range, from the same area, got each other and just connected despite however their physical looks differed.
It’s due to his IG followings of some younger actresses and then AB that these rumors about younger women really began and to me, that’s projection. Also, lots of men do like younger women and that’s a pretty normal thing despite however you want to feel about it. It’s only a real problem now because people are much more aware of things like grooming and etc that they’re drawing attention to age gap relationships. But even Ryan Reynolds and Blake have a big age difference and he married her in 2012, when she was barely 24. He married Scarlett when she was also in her early 20s. Ryan is beloved (and now also hated) in the industry and known as wholesome family man but think about how his relationships being accepted but tbh could there also be some grooming involved? He was well into his thirties when he dated/married both these women but more or less the GP doesn’t bat an eye.
For CE, they couldn’t accept AB and that’s why the whole racism and problematic friends came into play so quickly after they went public. IMHo, the fandom needed a reason to dislike her even though she is easily able to be disliked even without her dumb friends tweets. She has no talent, no charisma, seemingly no work ethic, and is an obvious clout chaser with a very bizarre Lolita obsession and a weird obsession with older men.
That’s enough for me to side eye her but having the fans project things to hate on her makes them look worse and her like a victim.
But if she was the same age as CE, would it matter if she looked younger or did weird Lolita things? At that point, people would chalk it up to her just being a weirdo or at least compliment her for having good genes, but at least they’re the same age and then she has even less of an excuse to be as immature as she seems.
Her age and “inexperience” in Hollywood are the only passes I see her getting.
Also, CE clearly doesn’t find her attractive as his body language shows that literally for the past three years. Some of you need to stop attempting these gymnastics in your head and just admit that the relationship looks off because it is. It is most likely heavily manufactured and he needs to be married to someone to really uphold his rebrand. She clearly spends alot of time in a different country no matter what people wanna think and hollywood smoke and mirrors have a lot to do with it.
Yes, they are married and yes a bunch of PR rehearsed answers to push this and make people think it’s true love. But really…he is in the business of smoke and mirrors. Anyone who takes this stuff to heart really shouldn’t. It’s not that deep and will never be that deep.
I disagree but agree with you at the same time. I think her age plays a huge part in why people dislike her, but at the same time I don't think that's people's biggest problem with her. What I say is that even if she was older or closer to Chris's age, her behavior would still be the problem. I'm not saying people wouldn't just simply dislike her because she is dating Chris. That's a real thing and has always been in this fandom or even in different ones. I'm not in the Seb fandom, so I don't know how they treat her or what they are saying about her; however, the two situations aren't really comparable, since Seb is kind of over something similar to what Chris is still in (minus the kinda weddings part).
I think most people would've gotten over the age gap if she was a decent human being and if they actually looked in love with each other. I'm not saying that people wouldn't have disliked her just because, but it's much more than that. Her behavior is the problem; her friend's behavior is the problem. The age gap is also a bit problematic because she was only 23 when they got together. Their little trollings didn't help either. It's about her and her friend's personality and the way they behave around each other; the rest would've been forgotten after a while.
As you said it, it's not that deep. Whether this is real or not, it doesn't really affect our lives. It isn't worth it.

Richard Woodman
Writer who drew on his own experience at sea in a series of novels and historical works about the British merchant navy
“The end was anticlimax. We slipped home unnoticed. Britain turned no hair at our arrival, as just as she has turned no hair at our extinction.” When Richard Woodman published Voyage East in 1988, he knew that the mercantile world depicted within it, which he had joined aged 16, was gone.
The first-person novel – which never reads like fiction – describes the voyage of a cargo liner carrying goods and passengers from Liverpool to Singapore, Hong Kong, Kobe and Shanghai in the mid-1960s. There is a moment, off the coast of Borneo, when the captain sees a vessel with half a dozen grey aluminium boxes on her foredeck: “What the devil are they?” he asks the pilot. “‘They’re containers, Captain,’ the Pilot replied, and no one on the bridge heard the sentence of death pronounced upon us.”
Woodman, who has died aged 80, became the memorialist of the merchant fleets. Between 2008 and 2016 he wrote the history of the British merchant navy in five volumes, followed by A Low Set of Blackguards, a two-volume history (2016-17) of the East India Company.
His outstanding contribution came through his three second world war convoy histories: Arctic Convoys (1994), Malta Convoys (2000) and The Real Cruel Sea (2005). These are works of passion, based on experience and scrupulous research.
The loss of life among merchant seamen was proportionately greater than in any of the armed services and the recognition they received far less. From the beginning of the war a seafarer’s pay was stopped the minute his ship was sunk. “Time spent fighting for his life on a float or lifeboat was an unpaid excursion,” wrote Woodman.
While Winston Churchill acknowledged the crucial importance of the Battle of the Atlantic to national survival, it was not until 2012 that those who had served in the Arctic convoys, and had taken the highest casualties of all, were retrospectively honoured.
Born in north London, Richard was the elder son of Rosalie (nee Cann) and Douglas Woodman, a civil service administrator. Though he was far from the sea, his imagination was captured by the works of Arthur Ransome, Daniel Defoe, RM Ballantyne and Alan Villiers, and his enthusiasm nurtured by Sea Scout membership.
He was the youngest member of the Sea Scout crew that sailed the ex-German yawl Nordwind in the 1960 Tall Ships race and, despite failing all but two of his O-levels, he was accepted as an indentured apprentice with the Alfred Holt (Blue Funnel) line in 1960.
His first long trip to Australia came as a midshipman on the SS Glenarty, returning via the US: “I had been round the world before I would have been allowed inside a British pub.” Life on board ship took place in an uncompromising, all-male environment: the almost compulsory swearing, drinking and sexist banter encouraged the development of “a carapace behind which we hid our private selves”.
Woodman responded eagerly to the hands-on education in seamanship and navigation, developed his writing and sketching through the log-keeping and read his way through the excellent ships’ libraries provided by the Marine Society. He completed his four-year apprenticeship and gained his second mate’s certificate. He was, however, in love and hated saying goodbye to his girlfriend, Christine Hite, an art student, for many months at a time.
He left Blue Funnel in the mid-1960s and went to work for the Ocean Weather Service, where he discovered how vicious the North Atlantic winter weather systems could be – and how pitilessly an ex-second world war corvette would roll. Fortunately it was not long before a temporary position became available with Trinity House, the corporation charged with the maintenance of navigation marks around England, Wales and the Channel Islands.
The position became permanent; he and Christine married in 1969 and settled in Harwich, Essex, near the Trinity House east coast depot, and he served the corporation for most of the rest of his life.
The work at sea was varied, challenging, sometimes dangerous. Precise navigation, seamanship and attention to detail were essential qualities, but Woodman also found time to write. His first novel, The Eye of the Fleet, was published in 1981. This introduced a series of 14 adventures featuring the young Nathaniel Drinkwater, a hero somewhat in the Horatio Hornblower mode but bearing the unmistakable stamp of a writer who was also a sailor.
Despite his professional career being in motorised vessels, Woodman loved traditional gaff-rigged yachts, particularly his own Kestrel and then Andromeda, in which he and Christine explored the east coast rivers and beyond. The action of his nautical novels often turns on neat, seamanlike manoeuvres as well as including varied and closely observed seascapes.
His productivity was astonishing. He often wrote two or three novels a year and soon added non-fiction to his output. When he became captain of Trinity House Vessel Patricia, he achieved this by having two desks, one from which he could conduct official business, the other hidden behind a door, with a page from the work in progress always ready in the typewriter.
Meanwhile, in his job he was extremely focused, conscientious and painstaking. Although some remember him as being of the “old school”, Jill Kernick, the first woman in almost 500 years to work at sea for Trinity House, credits him with helping her break through traditional barriers in the early 80s.
In 1997 Woodman retired to write full time, but was soon elected a Younger Brother of Trinity House, and then an Elder Brother, the first time a former employee was accorded this honour. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2003 but there was no let-up in his work rate. His last completed novel, A River in Borneo (2022), harks back to 60s Indonesia but sets its final scene in a Colchester hospice.
He is survived by Christine and their children, Abigail and Edward, and grandson, Arlo.
