every time I learn something new about Seventeen’s discography, my admiration for them grows.

Like I just learned about My My and how the choreo pays homage to svt’s leader line, the three pillars of the group. The inkigayo performance where they were all in sailor outfits but leader line were the only ones with caps, and Cheol’s having the black band signifying he is the captain of this ship (svt). this vid really explains more about the little details that adds more context to their inkigayo performance. it really helped me understand the kind of artists Seventeen is.

And at first you’re like, ‘wow! Their formations and dance are so fun’ but when you take the time to break it down and see all the little details, it really adds to the performance’s meaning and charm. The story Seventeen tells with each performance is what makes them unique and stand out. It’s their artistry that makes me fall for them even more.

god i wish i wouldn't have to explain the intricacies of the neopets economy to you guys to give the full context for this but. the new neopets team that took over from jumpstart pledged that they were going to curb the inflation of rare items, which is great because a lot of rare items are worth literally hundreds of millions of neopoints, they are unbuyable unless you've been playing actively for 20 years. they did this earlier with a site festival that included random loot boxes, some of which had Unbelievably Fucking Rare And Precious items worth 200 million neopoints apiece.

well.

today they have gone a step further. by releasing this year's trick-or-treat bags. and having the trick-or-treat bags be stuffed to the brim with unbelievably fucking rare stamps, weapons, paint brushes, defense magic, and other unbuyables. (all prohibitively expensive and in-high-demand types of items.)

jellyneo, the premier neopets website, has recorded prices of some items plummeting from 2,000,000 neopoints to 4,000 neopoints IN THE LAST THREE HOURS. this is when most people haven't even heard about the event or OPENED THEIR BAGS YET.

and of course. cherry on top. 20-year-old account holders are crytyping on the site events neoboard about how mean and cruel it is to make rare stamps part of the prize pool, because their entire identity hinges on being part of the neopian bourgeoisie, and they are having MELTDOWNS over their assets being devalued until they're part of the lowly proletariat.

so turns out my newfound appreciation of hue jitter on brushes comes with a newfound need to name my custom brushes because i keep accidentally selecting the versions of brushes i made with hue jitter and then feeling like im losing my mind when the colours just dont come out correctly

Hmm I seem to be using words wrong, I’m a native English speaker right, but I get that sometimes I don’t know words.

I thought that “I don’t want that” was the opposite of “I do want that” but I seem to have the meanings wrong? Like “I don’t want that” is a more specific version of “no”. Does that makes sense?

These elaborate social games are fucking exhausting… why do I have to have a full week-long mental breakdown in which I throw shit around and beg to be locked in a fucking asylum for my “no” to be taken seriously.

So this is neat. The new chapter makes it interestingly clear that Sephiroth, for all his rank and reputation within Shinra, doesn't actually have any real authority within the system.

For years we'd been giving Sephiroth the fanon rank of "General", but the truth is that his hands are pretty tied with the inner workings of SOLDIER. The company that raised him, abused him, dehumanized him, and exploited him for profit didn't even have the courtesy to give him a position of actual legitimate authority.

Sephiroth is basically just their trained dog. Their Stamp. He acts as their mascot. He does tricks for them on command. He has the "privilege" of being famous and respected. But he's still very much on their leash. And that's all he can ever have.
