When making elder cc (mostly EF but I’m looking to do much more EM stuff too, yay grandpa), I do try to highlight shapes and choose patterns, that - to me - scream: “I’ve lived a good long life. I’m not 21 anymore and I don’t want to be. But I’m no schlub.”

All About Style has always been a huge style inspiration for me for grandmother fashion. That site’s EF clothing was the perfect mix of quirky, fashion-conscious and matronly-cool clothes. Judie had immaculate taste! There’s a reason her cc was beloved, even after years of play.

Much of existing elder cc is on alpha meshes. Those are fine and good! But I feel like elder sims need to be dressed in ‘bulkier’ stuff. It just makes sense to me. There’s tons of older elder CC that I see and like the idea of, but it’s painted on a mesh that is little more than the base EF/EM body shape on top. Idk, skintight sweaters on grandma or grandpa just kind of give me the willies. 😵‍💫 It’s not realistic either.

Plenty of elder cc is also Maxis match. Perfectly fine! Love those shapes way more. There are lots and lots of age conversions that look great on elders. But, I feel like our elders deserve more than a copy and paste of what we already have on offer for adult sims. So, I retexture those age conversions. The clothes just need to be stuffier, with more mature colors and patterns. Just, have more of a mature “vibe”.

On a more tinfoil hat note (lol), I think some simmers do not like to play elders at all, and that has everything to do with fearing age itself. And not having a worthy selection of clothes for them, that too. 😂

But I mean, there are mods to skip elderhood entirely. And a clothing mod to make elders have the standard AF chest instead of a sagging one exists, and that has existed forever. It’s like one of the oldest mods out there! And a mod to make them not have the “elder” walk. All things to make them less “oldpersony”.

Elders are thought of as being boring or unimportant sims, something to avoid, unappealing. I think that says way more about how people feel about aging themselves. But I think it’s much more freeing to embrace and enjoy a stage of life that I’ll face myself.

Fantastic idea. Let's give it a shot! I would love to see if a creator could and would be able to create a maxis-match classic Ballet Workout Set. Including two simple Tutu's one classic short the other one long. A classic leotard, wrap top, wrap skirt, ankle leg warmers as well as a pair of thigh high ones. All in classic ballet colors black, white and pink. ;) Nothing fancy! If the creator wants some examples what I mean I could provide pics. But that would be so dope! ❤️

#SSSWish I'm half Filipino, but I hardly see any Filipino content in the Sims Community. I would love to own a Maxis Match Barong or Maria Clara dress for formal events in the game. I think it would be a great way to add more representation in the game, especially when I know there are a handful of PilAms and Pinoy players. #SSSWishlist hello! I would love if cc creators can consider making more patterns for Kimono/Yukata (traditional Japanese clothing). I find the in-game versions kinda bland, and there are not many floral Kimonos even though its commonly seen in Japanese festivals. Would appreciate if there's Japanese hairstyle cc with big flowerly accessory to pair with the Kimono too! Same for the male Yukatas, just not floral print maybe. My wish is to have more swatches for the snowboard and skis. If there could be more LED designs, interesting designs and the swatches for kids for T-E boards. It would be great.

The other wish would be to have more Kimono designs in Maxis Match and/or recolors with more patterns. There are so many patterns that I have seen while looking at real life kimonos and there are so many patterns, styles and colors that are missing in the game.

This seems like a fun idea! What I have been wanting for ages (like since TS2 era ages) is a hair style that completely covers one eye, like Violet at the start of The Incredibles. Most of the peekaboo bangs hairs I've seen are a little *too* stylish and I mostly just want one where someone is clearly trying to cover up half their face with it.

#SSSWish - I would love to see a someone put together clothing that accurately reflects the Starfleet uniforms seen on the television shows, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (collar version), "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (colored shoulders) or the later movie uniforms (grey shoulders w/ colored undershirt). I've seen people asking for these uniforms for quite some time now, and I think, if done well, they could be a popular download. A separate chest combadge accessory would be nice too.

Hey there, that #SSSWish thing is a super cool idea! I do have a wish too - I would love to see the EL utility jumpsuit converted for male framed sims. It can be unlocked by creating an override and unchecking the frame restrictions in S4S, but then the body changes to a female frame. So if anybody out there could do that properly, I'd be extremely grateful :3

#SSSWishlist i know i already saw some people here ask for more yukata/kimono swatches here and i would like the say i really do think we need them (not just for the adults but the younger ages too, id like for the toddlers kimono not to have the hifu? vest as well but that sounds more complicated). 

BUT for my wish i would like to see some proper tabi socks in the game, for all ages + genders, and also for the geta sandals to be made available for children and toddlers. My Super Secret Wish is a mod, or even a tweak of an existing mod, that stops toddlers from shying away from hugs they ask for during the “Check Toddler” interaction. It is *so* irritating to see a toddler respond to a❓with a ❤️ and open arms then step back, often with a 💔, and push the adult away. I’ve tried to stop it with MCCC but no luck.

One of my favorite parts of the game is creating a restaurant or a vet clinic, but the employees are impossible to keep satisfied and they all eventually quit. It would be nice if there was a way to keep them permanently satisfied, or at least make it easier. There is a mod for this but it is extremely outdated and doesn't work anymore. If anyone could update it or make a new one that would be great! 😁

Hi ! There is quite a few things I’d like, but I narrowed it down to three “small” things:

- An accessory top with a high neckline and no sleeves - just to hide cleavage - maybe with some lace at the edge ? and several grey and pastel colors please.

- Some accessory prints for shirts, like those tukete has, maybe some aimed at kids and toddlers too ?

- Makeup for kids. Some people let their kids wear makeup in real life, but adult cc makeup don’t look right on kids, so if anyone is interested in trying… I’d like eye-shadow and lipstick, with some discreet options (but you can go all out too of course).

Hello! i’m not sure if its just my game bugging but the male child tiny living hair is broken and i don’t know where to start on fixing it. i tried to find a fix online but found nothing. in my game the hairline for that hair is so bad and its unfortunate cause it used to be my fav child hair. if someone that mods or makes cc could fix it or make a default replacement, i would forever be grateful.

Hello! This #SSSWish is such a fun idea~ Personally, I'd love if someone updated the Plantsims mods that have broken over the numerous updates. Like, G1G2's Revamped Plantsims, Triplis' Plantsim Interactions, and Simonch8's No Cooldown & Trait mods. #ssswish This is such a lovely idea! There are so many fun wishes! What I’d like to have (and I think would also be useful for other Simmers) is a wedding themed recolor of the “large pile of presents.” I usually put one of those piles in my wedding venue so that the bride and groom can “open presents” together. But the colors that are on the original are not what you usually see on presents at weddings. (I usually opt for the one that is mostly purple, since purple and lavender are my favorite colors.) What I’d like to have are recolors in white, white/gold, and white/silver. Maybe some white/pastels (especially lavender, pink and blue. The white/pastel recolors would also be nice for having a party that you call a “baby shower” especially if yellow and light green were also available. That kind of party isn’t in the game, but it should be!)

I don’t see the #SSSwish I submitted on your public list (I forgot to use the hashtag before) so I’m submitting it again. I would love to see a mod, or tweak of an existing mod, that stops toddlers from pulling away from a hug after they asked for one in response to a Check Toddler. The toddler will hold up its arms with a ❤️ in the speech bubble then step back and refuse the hug, and the relationship takes a hit. I tried MCCC’s tuner to stop it but it didn’t work.

With snowy escape there’s more build items that can be used, I’ve noticed there tends to be a lot of Japanese inspired cc even before that pack, but not a lot of things from other parts of Asia, especially ancient cultures or cultural items like instruments (decor), clothing, furniture (lohan beds), etc. I’ve gone looking but most of what I’ve found is locked behind chinese-only forums and is usually alpha…I just think it would be cool to see some mm stuff from other places esp as fandoms get more globalized

This is an absolutely fantastic idea! I haven't been able to look around lately but I noticed that most rings/hand accessories aren't compatible with SkinDetail eyelashes. After seeing Love Hair take the win in the Oscars I felt compelled to make the family as a household in my neighborhood! I tried to follow the color scheme more or less of the characters in game so you’ll notice on some of the outfits similar looks from the short. I also downloaded so many black hairstyles and I love them so much! Big shout out to creators @ebonixsims and @xxblacksims because without them we would have to stick to the horrible maxis hairstyles lol (although I did use a maxis match one for the mother in one of her looks XD)-

You’ll notice several hairstyles for download because obviously the mother is a hairdresser so it made sense to have several looks for both her and daughter. The household surname is “Love” but I did name the characters. I tried to look for their names but found nothing.  Jada Love - Hairdresser and Internet Personality (she would definitely be on the Social media career since she has a youtube type channel in the short) Her Traits are Creative, Family-oriented and Cheerful Shaun Love - I picture him as really involved in the environment, so the Conservationist career. Both parents have the Super parent aspiration too HIs traits are Playful, Family-oriented and Good Raven Love - Our little star! Her trait is Cheerful and she has the Creative aspiration since she seems to draw a lot in the short. I hope she looks OK and not like a mini adult since a lot of kids look scary with CC lol. I also included their cat :3 named him Boris. I didn’t upload photo since I reached the limit for a tumblr post, but he’s in the tray files! I made sure to give him his disapproving look lol

Realm of Magic Review → ★ ★ ★ ★ ½ 

Hopefully my method of using the half symbol makes sense and you can tell I’m giving this pack 4 ½ stars out of 5! This isn’t a super in depth review by any means, but it’s my two cents on what I think is a really great pack!~

As always, big ol’ thanks to the EA Game Changers for providing me with an early access copy of The Sims 4 Realm of Magic for review! 

Realm of Magic CAS → ★ ★ ★ ½ ☆ 

First- oh my I love the stuff we got. The boots and tops are some of my all time favourites! Before getting into what I love though, let’s get the big ugly negative out of the way: There isn’t a single CAS item for children or toddlers. Toddlers I can understand honestly cause they can’t do magic and have a pretty set lifestate (but oh man how cute would a lil witchy dressed toddler be??) The issue I really have is that there’s nothing for kids. Nothing. Even in Vampires kids got some hair and clothes that matched the feel of the pack! I feel like it was a super missed opportunity to create some really cute clothing considering children can have familiars and can be at least slightly involved with magic. The lack of kids clothing aside, I really do love this packs CAS items. Unsurprisingly female sims got more items than males, but both are done really well and don’t feel like corners were cut. Most of the items can easily be mixed in with other packs for outfit options. Of course there are a few pieces that are a bit more situational, but the balance definitely leans towards multi-use clothes (and oh man am I thankful!) The accessories are also incredibly well done, and some are pre-tagged for both genders (looking at you dangly star earrings). Makeup, to me personally, is a miss. But I know some folks will love it! It’s a matter of personal preference really! I added in pictures of one swatch from each CAS item to give a teeny look at what I mean! (I didn’t include hair, makeup, or accessories- sorry!) One final teeny complaint- where are our witch hats at, Maxis?! 

Realm of Magic Build & Buy → ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 

Y’ALL!! I am seriously in love with the Build/Buy for this pack! There’s a bigger ratio of everyday to situational items than in CAS, but even those items still feel like they’re easy to integrate into everyday builds! The windows, doors, and bricks in particular, are stunning, and have so many swatches that are ornate and themed but also plain and simple. The build/buy items are a bit harder for me to get into details with because I feel like the way you do a house is very biased, so although I’m in love with these items, someone might find them too situational for everyday use (but they’re cute I swear). Oh! And the debug items from this pack?? If you’re a builder- you’re gonna want this for debug alone. There’s so much great stuff in there to help clutter up homes and make them feel lived in!! I’m also gonna add in a teeny thing here about the worlds: AMAZING. They’re both so, so beautiful and having a forest-dense liveable map is heaven. And the magic realm? Dang.

Realm of Magic Would I Buy This at Release → Yes! 

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! For me, I didn’t really have a stance on adding spellcasters to the game. Honestly as far as I was concerned, the only things I needed to make the game feel complete was Seasons, Pets, and a tropical pack. We had all of those and anything else was just a bonus at this point! So the level of excitement and love I have for this pack really took me by surprise!! I feel like it’s so well done, you can tell the Gurus put a lot of love into this one and tried to give the folks wanting magic the best pack possible. Even if you’re like me, and not into supernatural gameplay, I still recommend this pack! Of course, everyone has their own tastes and interests! So make sure you check out what other Game Changers are saying and see how you feel about it!~ ♡

So! I haven't been active for a while with the Sims 4 modding, mostly because I don't have that  much time as I used to for creating stuff. Anyways, "Get Famous" was realeased and I really got interested in the expansion, the gameplay and the new star style that came with it. I was inspired with one of the haircuts that came with it and decided to tweak and re made part of it to my liking, also modeling and adding parts to it. It comes in two versions. One, completely shaved in the sides and another one with a "fade" look. Again, I'm not a cas person at all but I really liked the result to share it with you guys! I hope you like it.  .

Cards

This session, I wanted to design the cards for the board game our class is making. I started by sketching them in my sketch book, I wanted to draw a hat on the card but then I thought that would be to much on the small card and that there is also a hat of the board game palette that I made. So that meant I had to go with a potion bottle.

Before I go into Autodesk Sketchbook, I decided to paint the card fully black so it matches and looks just as nice as the board game palette. I used black acrylic paint and I'm very happy with how it looks. I can't wait to see how this card will look in the end.

After that I then drew it in Autodesk Sketchbook. I was very proud of myself when I got the correct measurements for the canvas. I got one of the cardboard cards that we were using for class and then measured it in centermeters. H : 8.8cm W : 6.3cm so in Pixels, it would be H : 808 px W : 603 px.

I really love how the potion bottle turned out becuse I added in different colours other then white to make the bottle look shiny.

I also wanted the card to match the board game palette so I drew pastel yellow stars on the card. I love how it looks on the front of the card.

The next thing I did was create the back of the card. I thought of a phrase to put on the back so i chose :

"You have been turned into a ...

FISH !

Because of Maxi's Animal Potion.

Miss A Turn !

To wait for the spell to were off."

I love this phrase becuse it works well with the universe my character Maxi is in.

I wanted to put starts on the back of the card but there want any room for the random stars like the ones on the front. So I thought putting stars down the sids of the card. This idea was worked really well and I'm very happy with it.

Unfortunately I didnt have time to print out my images so i decided to continue this at home.

When I got home I wanted to print them out but I wasn't sure how to print them out the right size. I went into Microsoft Word and inserted the two images I made.

I tryed to make it a good size but I was very worried that it wasn't correct so I thought it would be a good idea to find a button or something on word that could help me.

I found this button:

This button helped me alot becuse when you click on it, you can put in the measurements in centermeters. I wrot in the cards measurements but made the image a little bit smaller then the card so it could fit in perfectly. Once done the measurement corrected me into measurements that well fitted my image which was very helpful because it helped with my image not getting stretched in some way.

One done, I inserted my other image and made it the same size as the other. After that I was ready to print these out.

My original plan was to print them out on sticky paper which I thought we had but I couldn't find some anywhere so I used regular paper.

It looked like everything was fine once printed and it was then ready to be cut out. After that I then glued the images on the card which looks really nice and that I am very happy with.
