Sweet little tuk tuk, she probably leads primary school with an iron fist she's just so cool like that, adults tend to like her for her unlimited kindness towards the typical "outcast" kids. You can bet shes the type of girl who would brag to her friends about her totally awesome older siblings

Things I wish would’ve happened in the post-Nibiru timeline:

-Brad and Judy keep their interest in traps as a hobby, and Fred is able to re-connect with them through it

and/or

-Fred attends Darrow University and meets Dean Daniel when he’s not a crazy old gremlin man, but also still a trapmaster enthusiast so Fred gets to ‘learn from the best’

Some random Daisuke/Daikari headcanons + hopes(?) for 02TB (I haven't seen the movie yet so no spoilers please):

-during the Odaiba Fog incident, Daisuke was the only kid in line not crying as he was paraded in front of Tailmon - and even tried to fight Vamdemon himself in order to protect his family (only to have his ass beat ofc, thus leading to his feelings of wanting to become stronger in order to save others in the spring 2003 drama CD ;()

-if 02TB follows a similar story to Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, it'd be cute/ironic if lil' Hikari develops a crush on the "mysterious cool oniichan with sunglasses" and completely ignores Ken even if it hurts my childhood Kenkari heart

I totally sympathize with Kido and not gonna lie, I would've reacted as badly if I were her too. Thank you for answering my question, I wonder how the reconciliation between the boys would gone if Kido was present too :0

I think Kido would come round eventually, but (in addition to a frankly owed apology) Ayano would really have to prove she's changed her mind about killing Marry and show that she's trustworthy. As Novel 7 revealed, Kido's been "burned" before by a family member trying to murder her and her sibling - so even if she's willfully blocked out that memory I think subconsciously she'd still have some misgivings.

Seto, on the other hand, may be the most protective of Marry herself - but possesses such a kind and gentle heart that I don't imagine he has it in him to hold deep grudges - as evidenced by the ease with which he did readily forgive Ayano after everything. Besides, if he didn't believe she was truly sorry or that her intentions were pure, he could always read her mind to be sure. But to him that's always a last resort and would likely rather give the benefit of the doubt.

Kano is the complicated case, I think, as it's always hard to tell exactly where his alliances lie. He's been heavily implied to be the one most enamored with Ayano, so for him to even reject her, I think it's more a matter of "not my nee-chan" than it is out of sole desire to defend Marry, as he has less reason to be loyal to the latter. Like Kido, he also has a history of being betrayed by older familial figures who were supposed to nurture and care for him - hell, he still loved his mom despite all the abuse - and it's only thanks to meeting those similar to him (Kido and Seto) that he's able to open up and recognize a toxic relationship, so he will side with his own "kind" even over his "crush".  If the other two do agree to trust her again, then he’ll likely follow their lead.

We know that Kido never reconciled with Yaki and she wasn't even alive to meet her in the manga, so how do you think she would have reacted to seeing her again?

Not sure if this was meant for my @ask-ayaki sideblog, but since I received the message on main I'll answer here.

Of the O.G. Meka Trio, Kido clearly reacted the worst to Ayano's declaration of murderous intent towards Marry, going so far as to physically punch her "big sister" in retaliation. As the only one with experience of having an elder (female) sibling before, that betrayal of how a "big sis" should behave probably hit her even harder than the others. (Perhaps that's also why she felt she had to step into that role instead afterwards, and was portrayed as protective + accepting of Marry despite her death in the "dream sequence" Marry had when becoming Medusa, Kido’s spirit being the first to reach a hand out to comfort as “Concealing Eyes” returned.) I imagine Kido would've actually had the hardest time initially forgiving Ayano for her actions if she saw her again when alive, and in a way it's really only thanks to her absence as a catalyst that the boys were able to reconcile with Ayano...

itsuharu, poorly timed confessions, time travel

Ahh poor Itsuki still hasn’t gone on a time-traveling adventure, has he…  I have toyed with the idea of writing one where he does get to go back to three years ago on Tanabata, since we don’t yet know his whereabouts that fateful night.  There he meets his younger self, who I imagine might’ve hopped a train and traveled halfway across the country to Haruhi’s junior high because he felt a “calling”…  Itsuki actually prevents himself from approaching her at the school gate though, and they both watch as another “mysterious high school boy” comes along and helps her break in instead.  Idk if that counts as “poorly timed confession” considering they don’t even get to the “confessing” part (and probably never will OTL), but hopefully something along those lines will suffice?

Alternatively, an explanation for this:

Okay but also This Ayano never met Shintaro in school and became friends... She’s literally a stranger to him. But now she’s seeing his journey over all the routes... How much he’s suffered (bc of “her” death)... How he manages to grow and change, becoming a better, stronger person... How he dies over and over again, trying to become a “hero” who protects others... And she can’t do anything to save him.  All she can do is try to help him remember. And in the end what if she disappears when his “wish” (to save everyone?) is granted?
