I haven't watched The Marvels yet but I had to look up the flerken scene I saw gifs of because of my silly MCU/Cats mashup verse where I was like "Old Deuteronomy has totally had kittens with Goose" so I was feeling all silly like "oh, what are Old Deut's space alien kittens up to?" and you're telling me that Memory is literally playing in that scene in the actual movie???

Rundown of my MCU/Cats mash-up verse

Victoria is Tony Stark's cat.

Sillabub and possibly Demeter are Peter Parker's cats. (Sillabub for sure, I flip-flop on Demeter.)

(In my Peter Lokison AU of this verse, Sillabub is Peter's half-sister. Loki is her mother and I'm not completely decided on her father but it's probably Macavity.)

Pouncival is Nick Fury's cat.

Old Deuteronomy and Goose have been involved with one another and have definitely had half-Jellicle, half-Flerken kittens together. (His numerous progeny prosper and thrive all across the universe.)

(Sometimes Mistoffelees is one of those kittens but not always.)

There's absolutely a version of this verse where 2012-style Avengers Tower is a thing and it turns into a common hang-out spot for a bunch of the Tribe griuhefufghs

This might turn into Rumpus Cat joining the Avengers line-up. Who is it under the costume? They'll never tell!

i was about to send you an ask wondering which jellicle(s) you think would be best for wanda but the answer hit me like a freight train in the middle of the sentence so instead i am submitting for your approval: coricopat and tantomile

Yessss, absolutely! T.S. Eliot came up with the name Tantomile specifically as a name for a witch's cat! And along with Coricopat, you also get the twin connection, the twin cats Coricopat and Tantomile and the human twins Pietro and Wanda. It's practically meant to be! (Can be really angsty too depending on how much we follow MCU canon 🥺)

If I go by my really nebulous, supernatural Jellicle ages, a funny idea I had was Cassandra being Obadiah's cat and it's basically a more elegant, haughty version of that running joke in The Nanny where C.C.'s dog Chester is always growling at her when she touches him but he loves Fran and is so happy and affectionate when she touches him, only instead of C.C., Chester, and Fran it's Obadiah, Cassandra, and Tony.

Oriental shorthair Cassandra who was a gift from Tony to Happy because Happy's allergic to cats and Oriental shorthairs might trigger allergies less

I'm honestly kinda considering having Cassandra be Tony's cat too, along with Victoria

This scene is even funnier remembering that Nick Fury is Pouncival's human in my mash-up verse. Just imagining Pouncival doing a whole "rallying the troops" bit because he feels like it's his responsibility as Nick Fury's cat to assume some low-key leadership role directing the flerken kittens in their rescue mission.
