I took several days off for a short stay-vaction and it’s been wonderful.

I’ve hung out with friends, watched movies, and been very lazy. I finished my monster McDanno story and sent it out to my first beta and I’ve already started my next story (one-shot this time). I’ve also read and commented on a lot of fic!

I figured out how to make tags show up on my dashboard, so I created links for the main 5 or 6 that I use. \o/  I know it seems silly, but I’m quite happy that I finally figured out how to do that.

I have done tons of adulting. I went to the thrift store and bought frames for prints that have collected dust and I hung them up!

And I’ve finally made appointment to enter a first time home-buyer’s program! It’s taken almost 3 years, but I fixed my credit from all the horrible stuff that the ex-Mr999 did. I am so relieved. \o/ \o/ I fought tooth and nail and raised it 200 points! I made a decision to mention this on my blog, because I want others to know that if you hit rock bottom financially, and you’re scared and depressed and feel like there is no hope-- there is a way to climb back out of that pit. It takes planning and work, but it can happen!

I’ve reached the point where I can see looking for a home in the next year or year in a half as an actual reality while I save for a down payment.

I have two more days off before I go back to work and I’m just going to wallow in writing and reading.   :)

You would think 2 months without a job would be a life of fun filled magic. A stay-cation if you will. Do whatever you want for days on end having no reguard for the day or time. Rules don’t apply to you and options are endless!!

The truth is after working the same job for almost 7yrs, 6 days a week. The first week of not working you sleep. You go into a deep coma until you realize if your getting out of any kind of normal sleep schedule. At some point you will need another job and when that day comes you still need to be use to waking up at a reasonable hour.

The next following week you do things you normally miss out on. Catching lunch with your mom, getting to enjoy the discounts of seeing a matinee movie, taking your dog to the park, cleaning the house. Then you start this downward spiral of your running out of money and can’t go out as often. Boy does that suck because it’s quickly followed by many thoughts of what the hell am I doing with my life? Before you know it depression and cabin fever visit you like that family member you know but don’t like talking to.

But no worries, it all leaves at some point when you go back to your basics. All this is going on while your still applying to another job because you realize you left everything behind to find something better and greater and to seek out new mountains to climb. You take a look inside and remember the person you are. The hobbies you like. So you spend the next couple of weeks doing them. Taking the time to do the things you like because you never had the time before.

Depression wont visit again but in exchange he sends anxiety and cabin fever makes a return. At this point you have gotten a few interviews perhaps waiting to hear back from someone. You gets bills in order and notice you can trim things down a little. Make things easier. This makes you happy and anxiety finds the door to leave.

One day you will be in that spot of you got a job. But your ready for it. You don’t dread it but you look forward to it because it gives you some structure and guidance. And of course $$$. It gives you money. Because there’s tons of things you miss doing and places you miss going to. But they all involve $$$. This is the similar spot I’m in. I’m waiting to start my new job. 🙄😍
