Stephen "tWitch" Boss, a well-known DJ, dancer, producer, and actor, passed away at the age of 40. Unfortunately, he did not have a Will, which caused his wife to go through a difficult and unnecessary court process to access his estate during a tough time for her and their fans.

Losing a loved one is hard enough without having to deal with additional court procedures. However, it is possible to avoid court involvement in case of death or incapacity by using the right resources and tools.

One #woman who works in the medical field is sharing battling through the aftereffects of #suicide loss. “We got into an argument one day,” shared Torsha Hudson. “I thought it was just a regular argument. But he went outside in the parking lot, got the #gun out of the glove box and shot himself.” It was a horrifying moment for Hudson when her ex-boyfriend took his own life who she knew from age 12. “He’s still missed,” she said. "I still deal with that at times and I’m an advocate now for the aftermath of #suicide.” She says the death of DJ tWitch, who reportedly took his own life, is heartbreaking. “Sometimes there are no signs and that’s the toughest part,” said therapist Dr. Justin Dodson. “Research tells us people giving away prized possessions, or making comments like ‘I’d be better off not being here, you all would be better off without me.’ Those are recognizable signs and then you have subtle things like people questioning their belongingness in the world.” #James Donaldson notes:Welcome to the “next chapter” of my life… being a voice and an advocate for #mentalhealthawarenessandsuicideprevention, especially pertaining to our younger generation of students and student-athletes.Getting men to speak up and reach out for help and assistance is one of my passions. Hudson is a registered #nurse who has helped support #kids who attempted #suicide. “Understanding #mentalhealth really helped me,” she said. “You’ll think about what if I could have done this what if I could have done that? That will go on and on and on. But understand that person was struggling with #mentalhealth which is bigger than you.” What helps her daily is #self-care. “I journal a lot I pray a lot, I meditate. When I did #SYTCD it was one of the most high anxiety weeks of my entire life. I was overly excited, even more nervous, out of my element in many ways….

•

I gave my all that week in Vegas. Literally… I couldn’t eat… I barely slept..and I felt alone in my journey. Of course I knew you and we had shared many moments together before. But you were “ tWitch” …. & as often as you checked in on me during this experience ( and a lot of us) I never spoke to you about that anxiety. I smiled… laughed and kept pushing.

•

At the very end of Vegas Week… “ the green mile” I remember the hope I had built up. I walked across the stage and up to the mic….. & they cut me. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

•

In that moment….. I searched for everything I could to hold back the tears. As I quickly walked towards the exit… the cameras in perfect Hollywood fashion rushed to meet me. BAM… question after question and I could barely speak.

•

tWitch… I saw you rush thru those doors…. I don’t know if you remember this.. but you made everybody turn off the cameras. You kind of demanded it actually. 🤣 You told them to move away..

You grabbed me and you hugged me… then you explained some important things to me. Things I won’t say here.. but I walked away from you stronger that day. I got on that plane knowing I was that girl.

I hope you can feel how much that meant to me. How much love I sent from my chest/ heart to yours every time I hugged you after that!

•

Thank you Brotha. For making yourself available with love. For saying exactly what God told you to each person you’ve affected in your time here. I haven’t danced with you in a while and I’m kicking myself for missing your bday party this year… so… maybe this time ……we dance for you and the gentle passing of your spirit into the after life. Ancestors welcome him with open arms. 🫂 Hug him just as tight as he hugged me all these times.
