The game deals with how he was ostracized for "weird" behavior and it got down his self esteem so bad that he calls himself trash and if you look at how he struggles to interact with others i.e. low social stamina (game's hit points are literally his psyche), struggle to control his emotions intense passion about subjects of interest etc etc he reads as immensely autistic and his arc of learning to love himself and find people who love him for who he is is so. very important to me <3 my dear favorite autistic scrimblo.

also look at him. his design is the trans flag colors. what's not to love here!! he likes bunnies!! he made those bunny ears himself, even. in 1BeatHeart, he made cat ears for his friend. i love his 1BeatHeart design also because in that game he's an Adult and STILL unabashedly himself, showing that he took those lessons from his childhood to heart! an autistic adult having some degree of pride in himself, being renowned even if he's still seen as odd, and being content and having friends. aurgh."

I was so obsessed with this book series in middle school that my mom told the librarians at the school and our local libraries to ban me from checking it out. Now I own it. No one can stop me from reading it now. I've been meaning to reread it but it's tangled up in my head with the desire to beat my "record" for how fast I read it the first time where I read all 12 books in 7 days and it only took me *that* long because the school library wouldn't let me check out more than two books at a time. This is based on a scene at the end of the first book.

In light of the Josh Hutcherson renaissance, does it kill anyone else that we didn't get to see more of him as Steve in CDF? If they had made a more faithful adaptation (maybe for slightly older audiences) I think he would have been phenomenal

I can't remember if they ever said "what" leopard Steve was but personally I headcanon the idea of him being an snow leopard, if he was gonna be any.

Like him having gray hair would fit with the gray fur of the leoard

But then again that's just my headcanon.

I’ve officially entered my 30s and am appropriately picking up ridiculous new hobbies, evidentially.

So here’s part one of my new project- make Steve and Gannen Nendoroid-style dolls because I’ve lost control of my life and idk, seems cute and wholesome.

Even with nothing else, that face. That face is Steve. I am emboldened (sticker cause idk if genderless baby doll bodies are inappropriate but it seems kinda weird).

Anyway, I legit don’t know how this happened. I’ve got a couple Nendoroids of favs over the years, but I fell down some sort of rabbit hole and saw people modding to make customs and I thought, “Why not? Small, inexpensive, low stakes…”

I’ve always love miniatures. So really, this is more of an excuse to make miniature rooms and stuff. I guess we’ll see where it takes me though!

I plan to paint his face and make some hair for him with clay; not ANTICIPATING that being too huge a task, but I’ve not done doll modding before (I’ve done sculpture, so hopefully that helps?) so we’ll see. Gannen will be harder since I’ll have to figure out how to dye the whole thing purple.

I don’t think there’s anyone still here reading this but it’ll be cool to document what happens regardless 👹
