Seth’s cobalt eyes widened in horror as he found himself kneeling at Kaiba’s side; his muscular frame shaking uncontrollably at the grisly sight in front of him.

 “S-Seto I-!”

 He tried to speak but no coherent sentences came out as the priest leaned closer to the other man. This could not be happening. The sight of blood that was currently marring Kaiba’s dark, seamless shirt was making his stomach churn in guilt. He had to… He had to do something! But there was no time, no time for him to-

 “Oh Gods, Seto, forgive me, what have I-I-I didn’t mean to-! “

 He managed to choke out between gasps, fresh tears sliding down his face as the former priest fought to keep his breath even. No, it wasn’t too late, he could still save him!

“I-It’s not your fault Seth.” The CEO smiled weakly at him, his trembling hand coming to rest against the Egyptian’s wet cheek, painting it red in the process. It was a relief to see those bright blue eyes staring down at him once again. Such a beautiful sight.

Seth shook his head in denial; No, no, NO! That was a lie! It was his fault! It was his entire fault and they both knew it!

‘I am glad I was able to see you one last time.’

Horror filled eyes met those of his counterpart’s as Kaiba’s voice echoed through the link, a crimson trail making its way down his chin. He was fading away quickly, much too quickly for the Egyptian's linking. Hot tears dripped off his cheek, rapidly dotting the pale flesh underneath. Cold… So cold…

 “I won’t lose you again, not after everything we’ve been through, do you hear me? I won’t- I can’t-oh Seto, please stay with me!”

 Seth rasped out, his voice breaking with each word as he hugged the CEO close to his trembling body; afraid to let him go as if the world threatened to tear them apart. They both knew, though, that any promise was an empty one as Seth watched the colour slowly drain from Seto's already pale face.

Kaiba didn’t answer; the light slowly fading from his electric blue eyes as slender fingers squeezed Seth’s cheek one final time before going limp, dropping lifelessly to his side. And like that, he was gone. The priest stood completely frozen; staring at the pale face of his lover in disbelief, finally feeling the enormity of the situation crushing down on him like a tidal wave.

  “S-Seto..? Seto please…My light…please…I…”

  He shook the other man gently, letting out a quiet sob once he realized that his actions elicited no response from him. He had failed again. Failed to protect another person he so dearly cared about, letting them fade away as he stood in the sidelines and watched, powerless to do anything.

 Don’t leave me alone again!

 Kisara let out a desperate cry; her injuries preventing her from coming any closer to the two men as her tail hung limply to the side, as still as Seto's lifeless body.

                “SETO!!!”

 Like my other AU wasn’s sad enough, I had to come up with this idea as well x3 So here is your daily dose of drama with a small drabble I wrote on the side. I haven’t really posted any of those so I guess this is a good place to start~ Just to be clear, this is not the end. Like hell I would let Kaiba die. ‘ID I mean he kinda does here, but you know. And yes if you are wondering, Seth did actually kill him. Not actually his fault but eh~ I guess the poor lad hasn’t suffered enough.
