—Starter for @phoebeyates Location: Stomias Point Amusement Park
She didn't have to say it — he could see it on her face: whatever excitement she felt for the day was overshadowed by the memory of the last time they'd been out together at a city-wide event. It felt like another lifetime ago, and so much had happened since, but he knew he couldn't blame her if her nerves got the best of her. He'd never really explained beyond saying it was a bad day...
Wordlessly, he slipped his hand into hers, pulling her closer to him as their feet fell into step. "What do you wanna do first? Rides? Games? Food?"

location — stomias point
character — @providencepeakstarters ( 3 / 4 )
With his hands shoved deep into his pockets, Max watched as the tallest coaster in the park made it's slow ascend, paused, and then dropped with the sounds of screams mixed with terror and complete thrill. "You ever wonder what makes that so fun for people? 'Cause a part of me gets it, but I don't like it. It's the slow ticks up the track that get me every single time. I'd rather it be a quick start." What was his point? Other than holding up a friendly face in an attempt at lingering in the park without actually having to ride anything. "Would you do it?"

who: open to anyone, capping at 4 (4/4)
Zahra had spent the past hour or so just strolling around the park. Even though she’d grown up here, she had only gone once as a child. Money had been tight and she had been able to think of bigger fun than watching other kids go on rides. Now, though, with more than enough money in her pocket and an alarmingly bright pink portion of cotton candy in her hand, it was almost surreal to walk along the same paths. Much had changed but the essence was still the same - warm, sticky, loud, wonderful.
She’d stopped beside the free fall tower, head tilted back as she watched a bunch of people slowly be pulled into the air and then launch back down within seconds. “I wouldn’t stand so close,” she advised towards a person near her who’d stepped right up to the fence. “These kids are filled to the brim with candy apple and soda. Being puked on changes you as a person.”

character: Elliot Chapman @elliot-chapman
location: Stomias Point Amusement Park; Spring Extravaganza
Hearing Elliot scream at the top of his lungs on rollercoasters was just the happiness she needed before she had to put a party together the next morning. She felt like it was a wonderful idea to just take the day before and do what needed to be done, but also let herself enjoy her time in the afternoon and evening. "E, the way you yell on rollercoasters, is probably the best noise I've ever heard come out your mouth." She shared with a snicker, the last coaster they'd been on, she spent each of the dips laughing until her stomach hurt from his exclamations. "You having a good time, baby?" She asked as she knew he must be, but she was also just wanting to hear it from him too.

“Despite the forecast — live like it's SPRING.”
As temperatures begin to warm and the last of the winter slush melts away, the city of Providence Peak is beginning to flurry with the activities of spring instead. Residence are cleaning up their homes, the city officials are cleaning up parks, and stores are fixing up their inventory to bring each and every person something new and exciting as Providence enters the Spring season at last! To help the adventure begin, the city will be hosting the annual Spring Extravaganza once more — the community working together to put on the biggest and best welcome to the new season!
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
All Week (April 5th - April 13th) — The downtown extravaganza will begin on Saturday and run all week long. This portion of the event fills the downtown square area of Providence Peak with vendors selling local goods and foods, stalls offering free merch, activities for the children, and even a petting zoo! You can find the full list of vendors HERE. Friday (April 5th) — Cuddle up with blankets and a movie under the stars with Starview Drive-In with an early showing of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. If you're looking for something a bit more family-friendly, follow the path of migration to their showing of Migration. Feel free to show up before dusk for a bit of fun with cornhole competition, a barbeque provided by the drive-in free of charge, live music, and half-priced snacks for later in the night. Saturday (April 6th) — Come one, come all to the annual reopening of Stomias Point Amusement Park where admission is always free and on this day only, so are the rides! Every two hours, Stomias Point will be offering free ride wristbands. Ride wristbands are good for two hours and each person can only receive one wristband. There is limited availability, so be sure to snag yours up to experience the thrills of Stomias Point Amusement Park’s opening day! Sunday (April 7th) — Meander downtown as soon as the sun rises to a true Holy Spirits' Sunday mass, complete with brunch offerings courtesy of Amelie's and spring-themed cocktails that will have the offering plate overflowing by the end of the day. Monday (April 8th) — Hopefully you’re not too tired from the busy weekend, because as the festival carries on downtown, Take It Outdoors is hosting a boat and kayak race across Summit Lake. Feel free to bring your own equipment or they’ll have more than enough for participants to rent during the event. And what’s the prize for crawling out of bed and standing outside under the sun all day only to row across the largest lake in Providence Peak? Well, two brand new personalized kayaks, complete with paddles and life vests, of course! Tuesday (April 9th) — In support of Providence Peak Memorial's new research initiative, find yourself a good seat at the charity baseball game happening at the local baseball field in Claret Park or, if you're feeling charitable, join in on a team and swing some bats around for the sake of raising money for several research study opportunities that are pushing toward a brighter future in the healthcare industry. Concessions will be selling popcorn, hot dogs, and soda pops with all proceeds going toward the hospital's research program. Wednesday (April 10th) —  Find your way to Mayor Harris’ stand in the midst of the festival for a spring raffle. Each person has the opportunity to purchase 5 raffle tickets and are about to bet them on a chance to win some of this seasons grand prizes. Then, join Keola and Mya for a dance party in the center of the festival where they’ll be playing all of the current hits and rocking along to each one with the citizens of Providence Peak. Thursday (April 11th) — Join Barks and Recreation for an adoption event like no other. The community of Providence Peak is welcome to come hang out at their adoption center's location for their outdoor adoption event! In addition to holding meet and greets withevery single dog and cat that's currently waiting to find their furever family, there will be fun carnival-esque games to play and prizes to win for the entire family. Feel free to find a tree and take a break to enjoy refreshments provided by Lunch Box, The Sweet Spot, and Hot Cocoa Stop's food trucks. Sponsored by Good Pets, each animal adopted will also be going home with an entire care kit full of essentials free of charge! Saturday (April 13th) —  As the downtown festival wraps up, join the city at Frederick’s Farm in Bighorn Hills where everyone will be treated to fresh popped popcorn, apricots picked that day, and lemonade while waiting for their turn to fly in one of dozen hot air balloons sponsored by Providence Peak University.

Ti piace metterti i cetrioli in culo? Cazzo storto sì, no, forse? Trombi, non trombi, tromberestimi?". Non fatemi pentire, dai.

— aslihan fahri-bailey stomias amusement park, saturday.
It'd been three years since they found themselves in an almost identical situation. Three years and two kids ago, technically. The thought almost caused Sage to laugh, looking at how both of their lives turned out. Even though she wasn't close to Aslihan in the slightest, she could still tell they were both a long way from her announcing (unknowingly) to the other that they shared a baby daddy. She was still hesitant to say anything as she passed by, knowing that Yasemin was the woman's cousin and even if they weren't close, family was family and it was likely the other woman may have sought comfort in her cousin, but it seemed unavoidable as they unintentionally made eye contact as Maggie pulled her closer to the ice cream stand in the food area where Aslihan also happened to be. So, she put on a tentative smile and gave the other woman a slight wave and a question of, "Hey, how are you?" when they grew closer.

character: Danny Jefferson @dannyjeffersxn
location: Stomias Point Amusement Park
"Danny, if you ask me one more time to go check my height next to the height limit on rides, so help me I will sic Walter on your ass." Rachel said in mild frustration with him, though she knew that he was absolutely trying to rile her up. Clearly she was not immune to it enough to fall for it. "Now are you going to win me a stuffed animal or what?" She joked, not actually expecting him to attempt any of the carnival games. "Why do you think the limit is two hours? How long have we been here for? How are they going to keep track of us all? Do the wristbands shock us if we're here after our two hours are up?" In reality she figured that workers were probably stationed around the park and could see the time stamp and then kindly asked you to leave, but the other way would have been just entertaining to her.

availability / @dominichuang setting / stomias point amusement park, april 6th, in line for a funnel cake.
saul hadn’t planned on going to stomias point that day. no one asked him to attend with them and anyone he asked already had plans to go with someone else. he had a half a mind to say fuck it and hang around the office all day, catch up on some work, but he ultimately decided to go. he had never been, so why not now? though he had never been a huge fan of amusement parks, he figured an hour or two would suffice as his outing for the day. standing in line for a funnel cake, there was a family ahead of him that saul hadn’t paid much attention to until he felt something fall down onto his shoe. looking down, he realized the item was a stuffed animal. assuming it belonged to the small child in the family ahead of him, saul picked it up and shook it a bit in an attempt to brush off any dirt. saul tapped the man’s shoulder. “excuse me, i think this is your son’s.” he used his other hand to grab the toy’s paw and wave it at the little boy. he missed when his son, micah, was that age. he was still micah’s hero then.

closed starter for: @tysingh where: Stomias Point Amusement Park
Jessie offered the wristband to Tyler, before looping the other around her own wrist and fastening it. It was good for two hours worth of free rides and Jessica planned on taking full advantage of that. Adrenaline was definitely something Jessica enjoyed, so this was right up their alley. "Bumper cars or rollercoaster first?" The redhead asked, head tilting as they glanced over at the other.

Characters: Alicia Miller-Garcia & Sara Yoon (@sarayoon) Location: Stomias Point Amusement Park Closed Starter
Maybe coming to the amusement park on what undoubtedly the busiest day of the year for them was not the best idea, considering how a two year old could barely wait in line for ten minutes let alone an hour. Hazel was growing impatient and was opting for running around the place rather than wanting to go on the rides. As long as she was having a good time, that was all that mattered. She heard the little girl gasp before noticing her stopping in her tracks and pointing towards a lady ahead of them. "Sara!" Hazel exclaimed, Alicia realizing that the girl's eyes were scanning the crowd for the little boy that she associated with her. "Let's go say hi," she said, picking her daughter up before approaching Sara with a smile. "Hey! It's great to see you. How have you been?"

—Starter for @floydparker Location: Stomias Point Amusement Park
As Phoebe had already so helpfully pointed out, these games were totally rigged. But she'd been eyeing that big overstuffed teddy bear, and that meant Foster was determined to win it. After his first attempt was unsuccessful, he made an excuse to circle back, telling her he had to go to the bathroom while she was busy watching one of the sideshows. He figured it only bought him 15 minutes at most, but he wasn't above bribing the worker if that's what it took to finally wrap this all up. He knew he was wasting valuable time stopping to socialize, but when he came across Floyd, he had to stop. "Hey, man. How's it going?" he greeted.

Maybe munching on food whilst waiting for her turn on the rollercoaster ride was not the brightest of ideas, but the popcorn was too delicious and the line was certainly way too long. Snacking definitely would help the time pass. The opening of the theme park was one of the biggest events for the town so it was no surprise that everyone and their entire family was here today. Noticing the woman behind her looking at her, she turned around with a smile and held her popcorn bag out. "You can totally take some if you're peckish. We're in this line for at least another thirty minutes."
