We've noticed there is a multitude of ways for alternative rock musicians who succeeded during the late 80's and the 90's to carry on, though I would claim either Mr. Trent Reznor or Mr. Eddie Vedder did the best of them all. The latter's band, Pearl Jam, sort of became a synonym for those musical outfits, which managed to survive their own scenes. However, the group's triumph's even greater, when we know the band was one of the biggest grunge collectives. Thus, the fact their latest discs don't feel like the tired rehashes of their previous summits shouldn't surprise us. While Vedder and the others don't reach the heights of their 90's, they don't really seem to care about this. They keep going, knowing their perseverance got them to the place they're at.
