Begunia group of temples. This is a group of four Temples, out of which two consist of a simple cell each, surmounted by a tower-roof and there are traces of a mandapa in front. The towers are richly indented. The temples are the finest examples of their type. An inscription in one of the temples written in Proto-Bengali mentions the name of Raja Harish Chandra as the builder of the temples. Some bedbugs replaced the alarm this night, so I was ready for Angkor Wat at 3.30am.

After two weeks of clear sunrises, today was cloudy. However this led to a few more hours of endurable temperature. Thus the sunstroke only hit me around afternoon.

Everyone is stunned by these huge labour-intensive stonetemples. Actually there is so much more to wonder about. This massiv Khmer Empire ruled most of Southeast Asias mainland for 7 centurys. Back then Angkor was the largest pre-industrial urban centre in the world.

The watersupply was requiered to be incredible complex. They dug immense reservoirs in order to sustain dry seasons.
