If you are in the driver seat and the car you're driving is life... what direction would you look to drive? Forward? Side mirrors? Rearview mirror? Through the sunroof? - Now here's the real fun question... what happens if you don't keep your eyes forward? You guessed it! You will just keep crashing! - I use to constantly look back in my side and rearview mirrors. I'd focus so much on past events and trying to under stand why Certain thins happened (or why people would do the things they did), that I would tailspin into depression. - On the other hand, looking too far forward isn't helpful either. Why? Because stressing over future events that haven't occurred yet can trigger anxiety. (Raising my hand high to this one as well!) - So what does one do? Well, you do what they taught us when we learn to drive. Periodically look in your side and rearview mirrors. Because the past has helped to create who we are & there are valuable lessons there. But keep your eyes forward... like 10-100 yards (we are talking about life here 😉) and plan small things that will help you get to the destination you want. - Yes, you will drive across potholes and speed bumps, but they are there to keep you focused. - Life is a journey. You are the driver. Now stop crashing & start living the best life for YOU!
