Pierce: I misspoke. Can we drop it?

It seems odd to Maia for someone to accidentally say 'we.' And Pierce looks visibly uncomfortable as he finishes off his expresso. The vibe at the table has completely changed.

Maia:  Is everything okay? I'm sorry for prying.

Pierce: No. I'm sorry for snapping. I never should have asked you out because - I'm married.

Maia's entire face sinks.

Maia: What? Married?

Pierce: *continues* I never meant to deceive you, Maia. Honestly, I was going to tell you.

Simblr Grattitude Day

First off, let me say, the idea of expressing grattitude to our community is delightful.

Second, this is what it is: a community. Having been part of Simblr since 2015, I've seen its members come to support one another in wonderful ways so many times and it always warms my heart when that happens.

#simblr gratitude day

I don’t like to talk about it much, but Tumblr used to (and still does sometimes) terrify me.

I’m not gonna lie - it’s rough. I have had crippling social anxiety for as long as I can remember; so a place like this is not always the best .

After being here for years and not interacting and engaging, I pushed ahead a few years ago and put my stories out here.

@xldkx welcomed me with open arms and made me feel at home. I can’t even put into words what that meant to me.

@budgie2budgie, @therichantsim, @ladybugsimblr , @rebouks , @storiesbyjes2g , @airplanehead @gingerbeardmansim @madeofcc @mysimsloveaffair @99simproblems (just to name a few - so many more came along since then) engaged with my posts and introduced me to their wonderful worlds.

I’ve said it before, but I always saw all of us containing multitudes; whole galaxies of art and stories and magic . Excites me and humbles me to be in your orbit. 

Honorary mention to @cinamun : it’s one thing to be talented. It’s another thing to be intelligent, but to be both, and also kind? Mind blowing. To juggle all the work you do, as well as make everyone feel welcome leaves me awestruck. Every time I wish I could do it as well as you, I change my mind because it looks stressful lol. So kudos my friend .

I always come away from your posts with awe, my friend! WOOF PACK 4 LIFE! @storiesbyjes2g, ma'am you have no idea what you do to my feelings all the time, how dare you and ilysm, your sims and stories are truly chef's kiss! @queeniecook the struggles, tribulations, and triumphs of your pixel people, my friend. My gods. I know I've missed so much, but I forever love your content. @simsstuph you precious lamb, your wholesome, heart-wrenching content is top tier. @treason-and-plot I could never pass you over, my friend! No, I haven't dropped off the earth even if it seems like it, I promise! Even when I have no time, I make time to peek rq and vow to do a proper catch up because I do not want to miss the continuous drama and shocking surprises always unfolding with your incredible characters! @aleksa-sims my dear, your sim-self irl story breaks my heart. It's so intense and I just have no words, but I love your storytelling and as much as it hurts to think these things happened to you, I admire your ability to put it into a game we all love and share it with the world.
