Ok so what are your FNV Blondeyes outfit headcanons :3

here’s the thing: most of the light armor and regular person outfits in FNV aren’t cute. 

my first and immediate thought for Blondie just boppin around town doing errands is the classic Indiana Jones/ Nathan Unchartedgame/Poe Dameron look

with tall boots, bc there are no snakes in game (but there should be) but there are a fuckton of scorpions 

the gentleman on the left has a Good Fucking Look going I want to put Blondie in That and also proper tuxedo pants and make him go somewhere fancy. Blondie is the type of person to wear that style of smoking jacket as a regular suit jacket, while Angel is Decidedly Not, I feel. 

Angel is probably in a suit whenever he’s in town. nobody wears waistcoats in Vegas all we have are sweater vests apparently. I think mens’ suits are extremely boring, but I do think he favors charcoal/blue over brown/tan, double breasted and always with a waistcoat. Lee seems to favor lower-cut waistcoasts with narrow lapels? almost always double-breasted, lower than a regular suiting waistcoat, but higher than a formal one- between four and five sets of buttons. but it’s a very staid safe sort of look. I’m torn on the suit proper- I want so badly to put him in a staid double-breasted suit with big classic lapels, but you don’t normally wear a string tie OR a double-breasted waistcoat under a double-breasted suit jacket. here’s gregory peck in a nice gray flannel suit with lapels that are smaller than I expected. also those pocketflaps are a bit chunky but i am So Tired of looking at suits.

what are they wearing when they’re out on Jobs though, they need some sort of chest armor at least. for Blondie I care less about this bc it’s all going to be under the fucking poncho anyway, but how do i take leather armor and make it Fashion. fallout is very big on shoulder pads and shoulder armor. which makes for some cool silhouettes, but isn’t great for the boys and their specific quick-draw needs. it IS big on trenchcoats and dusters and long dramatic overcoats, which is good as hell. this merc troublemaker outfit is pretty common but the pants look dorky as hell,

this other leather armor is also common and is getting more toward what I’m thinking of (add riding boots, with heavy motorcycle jeans with the reinforced stripey detailing on the thigh)

Angel just has a set of perfectly servicable combat armor with all the Enclave markings carefully scrubbed off from a supply stash and calls it a day. 

Six is in the classic Ranger riot gear when she’s out and about on big jobs. 

here’s some meta: Angel never really stopped being a buttoned-up military man. Blondie being Fashion is more of a small continuing rebellion against the Legion’s harsh rules and spectacularly dorky armor.

it’s almost 5am but I feel like talking about my ocs so here’s what some of the major characters from CC wear as their Most Emblematic Outfit

Max: black leather pants, combat boots, stripey shirts, leather jacket, sometimes dark sunglasses

Kitty: slinky party dresses, sequins, heels, feminine but mature clothing like a very beautiful old grandma would wear, lots of pearl jewelry, big fur or feather boa, maybe a headband

Stelle: thin soft fabrics, pastels, running shoes, flowy dresses, hats with brims, flowers

Al: comfy baggy clothes, often filled with holes, barefoot

Zeke: turtlenecks, lab coat, pants that are just a little bit too short, steel-rimmed glasses

Cody: t-shirt from hot topic over a long sleeved tee, cargo shorts, sporty shoes, earrings maybe?

Michael: plaid button-down, cuffed jeans, converse, funky socks, a nice watch, big thick glasses, one earring

Boa Lee: gravitates toward suits, big jewelry, bow ties, really slutty ripped up clothing, capes, masquerade masks, anything expensive

Misha: makes his own clothing. loose simple shirts with highly tailored jackets and vests, suspenders, sock garters, shorts, platform shoes or boots. dresses more casual on his time off, in nice sweaters

Dixie: comfortable athletic clothing, sometimes a suit

Seamus: jewel-tone velvet suits, tons of rings with semiprecious/precious stones, snakeskin shoes

style ideals: 1) sweaters / dress pants that taper at the ankle / shiny penny loafers 2) jean jacket / cute artsy t shirts / skinny jeans / my stripey margaritaville sneakers / probably a baseball cap 3) HUGE flannel, unbuttoned / fun bralette / black skinny jeans / combat boots 4) power suit. 5) a tasteful knee length sundress, only worn once every three months so i'm not legally obligated to register as a femme
