Sherlock glanced around, his demeanor casual as if he was simply a tourist taking in the sights. He despised his outfit, khaki shorts, tennis shoes, a cap and button down, but appreciated the affect. He blended into the crowd of dads and suburban white men on holiday perfectly; which was, of course, the point. Holding up his phone, as if taking a photo of London Eye, but actually he was zoomed in to someone on the bridge nearby. The target. Sending the image to John, from across the water along with the text:

Yesterday, John Watson ( @strongmoralprinciple ) took Sherlock Holmes to the animal shelter as a birthday gift, where he then picked out a female Rottweiler named Victoria. He hasn't interacted with a human without coercion since.

Sherlock had to pause in her vent about the case, her normal pacing brought to a halt. She hadn’t even suggested John was of a lower intelligence for a long time. He wasn’t part of the common rabble, not any more. He had his own way of seeing, his own special sort of genius that just made everything click into place. He forced the world to make sense.“Of course you aren’t.” Sherlock mumbled in a sort of gentling apology. “I hadn’t mean to insinuate that you were.” She ran a hand through her hair a bit roughly before striding over to look over John���s shoulder at the evidence. “But what are we missing here? Something hasn’t connected.”

That one of the informants that had spoken to them, with an apparent alibi --- had not only a hole in their story, but a prime way to commit a stealth kill. The informant who was suppose to allow Sherlock access to a second sweep through of the crime scene. Rosie’s breath was growing laboured as she explained this all, before holding out her mobile to show her call and text history. “ I tried messaging him, and calling but it was off. His phone is never off, and if they suspect he’s onto them... ”

the  blonde  sat  with  her  arms  crossed  in  on  the  passenger  side  of  the  vehicle,  listening  to  her  dad’s  muffled  voice  speaking  to  greg’s  muffled  one.  rosie  knew  her  actions  had  been  a  good  thing,  a  family  reunited  because  she  intervened.  however,  that  didn’t  clear  the  young  watson  of  her  guilt  in  skipping  class  again  to  do  so  instead  of  contacting  either  of  them  or  her  godfather.  she  supposed  it  hadn’t  been  vital  that  she  was  physically  there,  but  she  couldn’t  help  it.  it  had  been  so  clear  in  her  mind  and  she  couldn’t  have  just  let  the  risk  of  miscommunication  send  it  crashing  down.  she  was  in  trouble  and  she  knew  that;  but  that  didn’t  stop  a  half  hearted  attempted  to  curb  it  a  bit.  an  innocent  look  on  her  face  as  her  dad  climbed  behind  the  wheel.  “ we  should  get  nandos  on  the  way  home,  i  think  the  chicken  you  like  is  on  special. ”   the  teenager  spoke  as  blasé  as  possible,  but  not  without  the  slightest  hint  of  bribe  quickly  tacked  on,  “  my  treat ?  ”  ---  ROSAMUND  WATSON   》  JOHN  WATSON  (  @strongmoralprinciple )

IT HAD BEEN A TYPICAL DAY, if typical days often included feeling the weight of a small jewelry box in your jacket pocket --- waiting for the dinner you were set to have that night with your partner. somehow, sherlock didn’t think that constituted typical. at least not in his areas of knowledge in regards to social regularities & protocol. he’d been trying to calm his nerves by focusing on a personal experiment of his, examining fibers under a microscope. john was making himself very much noticed, seeming to be vibrating on the spot for whatever reason. nothing appeared to be wrong, nothing he had learned to recognise, anyway --- so sherlock figure it was another thing that he just didn’t understand; but it didn’t change the fact that it was making him incredibly tense. with a sigh, he rose from the kitchen table to make a cup of tea. filling the kettle with water, he thought he heard a shuffle about the table. turning to place it on the stove, he noticed john had jumped from his spot & was now by the microscope, trying to look casual.

SHERLOCK COCKED AN EYEBROW CURIOUSLY, lowering the kettle & regarding john. “ what are you doing? ”

Proper social conduct and respecting personal boundaries had never been the forté of the Holmes children. Even Mycroft, who presented a striking imitation of a well-functioning human being at most times, was known to dismiss trite concepts ( such as privacy ) if they stood in the way of his agenda. Which is why it was perhaps unsurprising that Imogene had stepped right into the personal space of one John H. Watson to look him straight in the eye with unnerving, unblinking focus.

“ Fascinating, ” she eventually murmured, a conclusion which seemed more for her own sake than John’s, before she straightened and continued to observe him.

“ You’re not at all what I expected. Nor what you seem to be, are you? Curious. Why is that curious? Never you mind. Tea? ”

Not bothering to wait for an answer, she turned around and made her way into the kitchen, opening and shutting cupboards as she went, a perfect human whirlwind.

“ I’ll assume Sherlock hasn’t told you I’d be staying here a few days. It’s exactly the sort of thing he wouldn’t bother with. The name’s Imogene. Sister, younger. Do you not have any English Breakfast? ”

WHEN DID YOU JOIN AND HOW?  ummmm..... i think i joined in 2010? I was in eighth grade and a friend i knew was part of a disney rp group on tumblr. i had written on aim and facebook before, but had never tried tumblr. 

HOW OLD WERE YOU WENT YOU STARTED AND HOW OLD ARE YOU NOW? i was 13 i think? and now i’m 23. so it’s been a whole ass decade since i started writing on tumblr. i’m shook. 

MEMORABLE URLS.  ummmmmmm...... strongmoralprinciple was my second john url that i still have. i’m pretty proud of that. cansprainpeople was his first solo url and i also really enjoyed that one. i had rebelpilot for a poe url and i was shook when it was actually available... 

FANDOMS.   my big fandoms have been harry potter, star wars, star trek, marvel, and sherlock. 

FAVOURITE MUSE.   YIKES. probably a mixture between poe dameron, john watson, and christine palmer. 

LEAST FAVOURITE MUSE.   i haven’t really had any muses that i hated tbh???? 

FAVOURITE IC EXPERIENCE.  i’ve had so many amazing ic experiences on this site??? there’s not one that sticks out in my mind but that’s just because they were all so great. 

LEAST FAVOURITE IC EXPERIENCE.   sometimes people change, muses evolve, and what we were once okay with writing changes. i’m not going to elaborate anymore than that but i will never feel sorry for stopping a plot because i’m uncomfortable about what’s actually going on. 

FAVOURITE OOC EXPERIENCE. i mean my literal best friend in the galaxy was brought to me because of this hellsite. i’m sitting in her living room right now typing this out because i’m blessed enough to have a husband that will drive hundreds of miles so we can see each other. she was the made of honor in my wedding this summer. we’ve had so many adventures. and our next one is going to be london 2020. 

LEAST FAVOURITE OOC EXPERIENCE. i don’t really want to talk about old drama because i’m still a lil affected by it and it’s not something i feel comfortable hashing out because these people are actually still involved in a community here? so let’s just leave it at that. 

WOULD YOU DO IT ALL AGAIN.   yes because it brought me to a different love of writing and some amazing friends. i stopped feeling lonely and weird for loving this stuff.

...It’s really, really, really sad that I have to stop and think about this one as I haven’t written with a lot of gender-nonconforming muses...
