Honestly though, after seeing Margot Robbie in Miu Miu, quite frankly there’s just no need to mention anybody else (no offence). Margot was nominated for Outstanding Performance for ‘I, Tonya’, also setting the trend for a parade of pale blush gowns, but she just stunned in Miu Miu, combining a little eccentricity with a truckload of elegance, complimenting her dress perfectly with tonal, paired-down makeup and a just-got-out-bed bob. And let’s face it, when you’re that sickeningly beautiful, what more do you need than that? She is perfect.

(BLACK &) WHITE WEDDING

AND THE ENDLESS QUEST FOR APPROPRIATENESS

Wedding outfit decisions can be hard enough at the best of times, but evening wedding parties, I have discovered, are even harder. And with the added complication of a very chilly October night to contend with, I kept changing my mind about what to go with.

After a few trawls online I decided that in the interest of saving the planet, and taking lessons from Kate Middleton on how to never upstage the bride (she famously reuses her outfits for events, particularly weddings most recently that yellow dress for Harry and Meghan’s wedding), to recycle something from my wardrobe instead of spending on something new. All this brought me back to my polka dot Topshop dress from last year.

I love this dress because the style and print is completely timeless and can be worn so many ways, (I wore it in Greece last summer with a pair of converse), plus enough time had passed between photo ops so it was perfect.

I went all out with the black and white trend and styled it with my new favourite New Look heels in the print of the moment, zebra. New Look are one of my high street favourite for shoes, and they’ve got loads of zebra print on the go at the minute.

Personally I like to do a pulled back style with my hair to go with a bardot neckline, balancing it out with a striped statement earring from Primark to top it all off.

(Thank goodness we all got the black memo!)
