Cassie actually likes you so she also reassures you that her dad is over Sonya.

Whenever he’s at an award show and he gets a bit too close and comfortable with his colleague for your liking, you give him ABSOLUTE SILENT TREATMENT.

Your jealousy resulted in a few arguments, which led to harsh words from Johnny he really doesn’t mean, which leads to you breaking up and getting back together.

Skarlet

Skarlet enjoys making you jealous. It gets her blood pumping.

She purposely flirts with Erron and ask other kombatants if she can have a taste.

When you ask her why she would want to taste someone else when you’re right here, she just chuckles walks away.

In the end, you almost murdered Erron..🙈

Mileena

Mileena is, in a sick way, infatuated with your jealousy. But unlike Skarlet, she doesnt fuel it on.

You are very much envious of Tanya and how much she talks about her.

Whenever she brings up Tanya, you completely ignore her and look like you’re grieving the loss of a loved on.

When Mileena finds out you’re ignoring her, she’ll return the favor and ignore you.

It takes her breaking down and telling you why shes so obsessed with Tanya for you two to speak again.

When you find out what Dvorah does, you go ape shii 💀 #bobsbugsbegone

Jade

My beloved Jade❤️ she’s too loyal for you to be jealous.

It turns out youre jealous of her friendship with Kitana and have a distinct hatred towards Kotal.

She doesn’t notice it at first until Kitana points out the dirty looks you give her. When Jade questions you, you simply say “Its just you prefer her over me, your lover”

That BROKE her so from now on, she makes sure to keep you close at all times.

When you ask her if she still had feels for Kotal she laughs at you and tells you how she prefers you over anyone else.

That’s all because Jade is a loyal babe.

I recently got back into Mortal Kombat, and man, I'd almost forgotten how much I love Skarlet 😍🩸💓

I also revisited my old favorite MK ship - Sub-Zero x Skarlet - and was pleasantly surprised to see that there is actually some fuel for this ship in MK11: Skarlet clearly has a crush on Sub-Zero if her intros with him are anything to go by. I mean, the idea of cold blood actually excites her 😏

Mileena: Thoughts and Opinions

These are my thoughts and opinions on Mortal Kombat that a bunch of people probably won't care about, but I thought I should post them here. Now I will be using past games as reference, even though every character's interpretation/counterpart is different, they still play part to the canon storyline.

[Warning: This post is very long. Revealing cosplay.]

I always saw Mileena as eccentric rather than crazy. The eating people thing? She's not human and is a fang faced creature, we are not to be surprised.

Appearance: Now before Mkx the female characters were sexualized for marketing purposes, but a lot of the fandom recognises Mileena to be the go to when it comes to sexualization. Even when Mkx took the designs more seriously Mileena still has that flare of... marketing. In mk11 that goes out of the window. Now mind you, I like the costumes and skins for Mileena in this game, I'm a sucker for kimonos, and that kimono still has a titty window and comes off as more revealing than Kitana's. Even when you put Mileena next to Kitana, knowing what she looks like without the mask, she's still seen as the 'hotter one' out of the two.

I think it's just the fact they babied her. And when I say they babied her I don't just mean her childish attitude that is significantly different to mk9, I'm talking about her face model. In another post I headcanoned that Kitana is 17-19 in human years because I genuinely believe she looks like she's around that age. In the previous games Kitana and Mileena both look like they are in their mid to late 20's which is how they were able to get sexualized.

Because of the redesigns I think it retconned the interactions that took place between the characters.

Ships

I find it bizarre that most of the male roster roasts the hell out of her, yet have an undertone of flirting based on interactions I've seen. Now, that's probably me being delusional and pulling at strings just to make a ship happen, but it's there.

Mileena + Kung Lao (If I'm feeling bold), Liu Kang (If I'm feeling bolder), Kuai Liang, Hanzo (childhood ship), Takeda ("You can look but you can't touch"), Stryker (watched Sonic XD's mk9 sucks video), Erron Black (I mean he did date Nitara and Skarlet), Bi Han/Noob Saibot

Out of all these ships I've listed I feel the most strongly about shipping her with Bi Han. It's mainly because of a post I saw, which was based on a meme. 

Kitana: Am I ugly?

Liu Kang: No. 

Mileena: Am I ugly

Bi Han/Noob Saibot: Yes. 

Mileena and Bi Han are dating in this meme, btw. I think it was built on the fact that Bi Han can see her for the tarkatan she is but it doesn't disturb him. I don't think he goes out of his way to mock her, either, he's merely analytical of her. Following one of my headcanons, he takes things literal, meaning he has no intentions of harming her emotionally.

Yes, I ship him and Sereena, but I like to try new things.

That wasn't supposed to sound sweet, but it did. To me. There's also this video.

They both have sibling problems and were killed unfairly. Mileena's crown was snatched from her while Bi Han was made a slave alongside Scorpion. You know, the guy that killed him. They fought Kabal together.

Oh, and they can both teleport :).

It could be argued that Noob has a better chance with Skarlet since she reminds him of Sereena, but I like her interactions with Sub Zero.

I'm starting to think I should write a yandere Liu Kang/Kung Lao x Mileena (one sided), I mean Kung Lao wanted Kitana too so he could see Mileena as some kind of replacement.

Family:

I think Shao Kahn does feel some kind of fatherly attachment to her, although I headcanon that he's a narcissistic father. In Mk11 story mode he was ready to kill D'Vorah the second he found out she killed Mileena. Protective dad. I think some of it comes from the father-daughter bond he has with Kitana. While Shao Kahn did say that he kept her around just to appease Sindel, he had no need to do that after her death, so he technically adopted Kitana just because he could. And then teenage rebellion kicked in and he had her replaced by Mileena.

"Where's this boldness been hiding, Kitana? Had you shown it before, I'd have no need for Mileena." I think Shao Kahn did care for Kitana but not in a way that his mind can fully address. But he prefers Mileena, as she's the version of Kitana that won't betray him. Even though Mileena was created as a replacement he still recognised her as an heir, and his daughter.

I also think Shao Kahn can't produce children... I mean I still see Skarlet as his adopted child. Dude's straight up just picking up daughters.

Bonus: Kitana

Kitana is just so out of pocket. Now to be fair, she reacted in a way that is understandable. If I found out someone cloned me and I was face to face with that clone I would freak out too. But it's what happens afterwards. Kitana claimed that Mileena attacked her when it was the other way around.

Now if we follow the events of mk9 and not the events that came before it, Kitana never got to even know Mileena, so that comment was uncalled for. Not only that, but Mileena was welcoming towards Kitana upon first meeting her. While she was created to replace Kitana, that was not her priority when she woke up and saw Kitana for the first time. It's very clear that Kitana has absorbed Shao Kahn's narcissistic habits.

Now with some interactions:

"You're more my sister than Mileena." - Kitana

"So why must we fight again?" - Jade

"Where there are siblings there is rivalry." - Kitana

I think Kitana actually carries pride over being the pretty one. I also think she took pleasure in making Kung Lao uncomfortable.

Skarlet and Mileena should've had a bond of some kind that wasn't antagonistic. I already wrote a post about this some years ago on my old Tumblr account, but I deleted it so I have to start over with this post. In Skarlet's original story (before the retcon) she was created in the flesh pits and even appears a few times during the mk9 story mode, so by that alone Mileena and Skarlet have a connection.

In the retcon Shao Kahn is the one to teach Skarlet blood magic, but I always saw sorcery as Shang Tsung's speciality since Shao Kahn has his kingly duties to fulfil so I think it would be much more fitting if Shang Tsung taught her under Shao Kahn's orders, that way her and Shang Tsung have a bond of their own being teacher and student to compliment the fact that he created her back in mk9.

Now, Kitana has Jade so it was an opportunity to have an evil doppelganger situation with Mileena and Skarlet. They both like gore, they both hate Kitana because Kitana was mean to them, and they both don't like Jade. They both also have a thing for Sub Zero, which means they have similar tastes. They should get along. And for them to not get along I think it should've been the normal sibling dynamic where they would easily get into fights and do little things that annoy the other, but deep down are fond of each other. Something that counters Kitana and Jade's you're like a sister to me that you don't see real siblings experience.

If we're gonna follow the fact that they should get along, then Skarlet could've been the cool older sister. She had a boyfriend (Erron), she is good at what she does, and she's just as feral as Mileena but is more laid back. I can picture her helping Mileena with her makeup and her training. The sister that Kitana never was and refuses to be. On Skarlet's part it could be a thing where she remembered how it felt for Kitana to belittle her and for Jade to shun her for not being Edenian, and decides that she refuses to be the same to Mileena.

I have said a bunch of times that Shao Kahn sort of adopted Skarlet or sees her as a child of his. He took her away from the streets because she showed fire, and that's how a lot of adoptions go from what I heard, there's something about the kid that sparks something in that parent. But I think because Skarlet doesn't have royal blood and is a street urchin is what doesn't make her worthy of the title of daughter in Shao Kahn's eyes even if the bond is potentially there.

As much as I would love them to get along, Skarlet is jealous of Mileena. The fact that a clone was able to be given the title 'daughter' in a blink of an eye in comparison to Skarlet who had been serving him for more than centuries. "Shao Kahn needs no more Kitana clones!" is her way of saying that she wants to be recognised, loved and appreciated. "A pity you will never be his daughter." from Shang Tsung wasn't just any statement, he can see that this street urchin orphan who will not be mourned wants a parental figure in her life, and that unfortunately became Shao Kahn. There could've been the potential that it would be Shang Tsung, but we all know what he's like, he would see her as nothing more than a student who wants something more.

Skarlet lusts for power, and I theorise it is because she's trying to fill a hole, which is common in people who lack certain things in their life such as emotional stability and parental support. Having power will give her that sense of control over her life, supposedly.

Following my headcanon that Skarlet desiring Skao Kahn is a sign of her insanity, her need for security, appreciation and love has been perverted by the very thing that gives her power. Poor Skarlet.

My poor sweet baby. You better love her with ALL your heart.

At first, she’s skeptical and rightfully so, her so called “sister” (no hate to Kitana tho, love her) refused her, her creator regrets making her, and overall people reject her because she’s half tarkatan. So of course she is, rightfully so, suspicious of this sudden affection.

Ngl…Its damn near IMPOSSIBLE to kiss her lips and cheeks let alone nuzzle her cheeks due to her teeth so you peck/nuzzle her on the nose.

You almost your life the first few times you gave her back hugs but she gets used to it eventually and at this point expects hugs. Thats why when you don’t give her hugs she looks at you like you committed a crime more horrific than any crime she’s committed.

I do NOT care what yall say, Mileena is a very hygienic person. Since her face isnt “attractive” to others she uses her body which means she also has to keep her hygiene up there. So when shes trying to change and you decide to tackle her and lay on her lap shes lowkey dissapointed but its whatever.

She likes when you cuddle in bed. It helps her sleep better and reassures her of both your safety and her safety.

Hanzo

Hanzo is pretty much the same as Mileena. In some ways.

When you hug him from the back the first few times, he almost burned you alive.

When you cuddle him, it gives him reassurance.

Giving him suprise pecks are definitely a suprise and he gets so shy!!

When you nuzzle his cheeks he blushes and smiles so hard its so obvious that he’s enjoying everything.

Hanzo is a patient man so when you decide to lay on his lap before he can change his clothes. He doesn’t mind.

Kuai

Oh boy…. This will be interesting!

When you decide to hug him from behind, he freezes up, you get caught in the ice 😩poor you.

Its just so awkward, when you kiss him and nuzzle him he just stands there.

Here’s how I would change the rooster + with some other stuff. (Related to Kahn Coin Au)

MKX

Add Revenant Jade to the rooster but kill her off in the story

Have Skarlet as a npc fighter that get killed off in story. 

Have Moroban (New Character and Leader of the Shadow Priest) be an npc fighter with a fighting style similar to Ermac then have killed off in story.

Have Shao Kahn on the rooster but only playable through one of Kotal’s variations. Give him unique voice lines, a new kombat style, his own unique x rays and fatalities as while as his own arcade ending.

Have Onaga as an npc fighter (In Flashback and/or mindscape battle)

Bonus: Have a stage set in Armageddon, on top of the pyramid of Argus. (In story this will take place in a mindscape battle while the stage itself can unlock through DLC) 

MK11

Add Ermac to the Rooster

Turn Sonya Blade into a Revenant and give her new kombat skills with her revenant skin.

Keep Jade but remove her Revenant from the story (Since she’s dead)

Age up Ferra and make her an npc fighter

No Past Scorpion

Have present Scorpion be killed off by Noob Saibot

Then have Noob Saibot be redeemed by his brother Kuai Liang. The two brothers return back to the fire garden only to have Raiden attack Bi-han for not believing he has changed. Similar to Scorpion in the original game.

Keep D’Vorah on the rooster but kill her off.

Reptile will get some relevancy in the story although unsure if he’ll make the rooster. If not give his move sets to Sub Zero with reptile skin.

Maybe add Cyborg Sub Zero and past Bi-han into the story.

Remove Kollector from the rooster he serves no purpose. Although keep him in the story but don’t make him playable. He could still serve a purpose by being a npc fighter.

Bring Mileena back through her clone army ending from mkx. She can be release as a DLC similar to Tanya in mkx.

Remove Rain. Save him for Mk12.

Add Bo’Rai Cho on the rooster and give him a chapter

Give Dark Raiden some relevancy in the story instead of killing him off one chapter later.

Make Fire God Liu Kang playable after beating the story.

Give Kai, Kenshi and Kung Jin a cameo scene.

Bring Shang Tsung and Quan Chi from the past into the present. Add Shang Tsung to the main rooster but have only Quan Chi as non fight-able character.

Add Cyrax and Sekktor to main ropster, but to save room on the rooster have a cyborg character on the rooster that shares the cyborg variations. Just bring Triborg into the game.

Bonus: Have a stage set in the heavens. In story there will be (Raiden vs Dark Raiden and Raiden vs Cetrion) Although this stage will only be playable through story.

Also we will be going on the assumption that the chapter system is gone.

Mortal Kombat Onslaught: New Timeline, Who Dis?

Timeline Notes: I am only using gameplay chapter mode information, not any of the potential hypotheticals from the arena fight opening cinematic. I'm choosing not to because cinematics are rough to fit chronologically and often just used for marketing and splash, and may have nothing to do with actual storyline.

Spoilers for the storymode deets of the game ABOUND in this, I mean 100% ABOUND, so dropping my thoughts below a cut.

We know this is after the first tournament. How: a) they say as much, b) Bi-Han has been turned into Noob Saibot, c) Jax has metal arms.

We know this precedes the second Outworld tournament: a) Kitana has not yet sided with Earthrealm (she's wavering), b) People who died in that tournament are still alive. (Yes, Sindel is in that opening cinematic cutscene, but as of part 40-something of C2, she hasn't shown up anywhere yet. Her lack of storymode involvement up to this point means anything can happen with her.)

This is NOT either of the MK11/Aftermath Liu Kang Wins! timelines: a) Raiden still possesses his thunder god powers. b) Kitana is not with him as his lover.

Subsequently, this makes me think - for all those reasons and a few more, that we have (yet again) a new timeline.

a) Frost is of an age (roughly) with the younger protagonists (Jax, Liu, Lao, Johnny, Sonya) - this fits with older iterations, not the MK9-X-11 run. b) Scorpion and Sub-Zero reconcile (roughly, at least); this only happens in MKX in the new iteration. c) There's some weird dynamic going on with Sheeva and Goro where Goro's not dead but Sheeva's in charge and she usually only ends up in charge after his death. Krypt has never been canon so ignore MK11 Krypt, but there was the whole Goro-loses-arms comic and the second series that never kicked off where he got them back, so... who knows. There have been lots of fun little tidbits dropped in the storymode so far; handful of Johnny Cage movies, some more info about Skarlet and Erron, Netherrealm stuff, that I might compile later. I don't have the game myself, but I want to hattip this YT account ("JUST PLAY") for no-commentary storymode playthroughs run fairly smoothly and updated quickly, run at a pace where you can read the dialogue and the text screens instead of being rushed through for fight footage.

Weirdest Mortal Kombat Characters

1. Mokap - Don’t we already have a dickhead Hollywood actor in the roster? You know, Johnny Cage? This secret character know many different styles of martial arts, and knows Johnny very well. He was one of the secret characters that was added as a goof, but feels more like he should’ve been an alternate costume for Cage rather than an actual character.

2. Hsu Hao - Just because one black market crime syndicate isn’t enough, we have the leader of the Red Dragon, that rivals the Black Dragon. Hsu Hao is as stereotypical mustache-twirling villain as Dick Dastardly. And he’s not even in the least bit likable. Sure, Kano is absolutely unlikable, but his scumbag charm makes us love to hate him.

3. Chameleon and Khameleon - Honestly, why do we need these ninja characters when we have a literal spectrum of ninjas, like Ermac, Skarlet, Tremor, Scorpion, Tanya, Reptile, Jade, Sub-Zero, Kitana, Rain, Mileena, Smoke, and Noob Saibot? These two characters always change color palettes and fighting stances of several ninja characters, and their special move? Camouflage. Reptile already does that.

4. Moloch - Since when did we need Orcs in Mortal Kombat? Oh, wait, he’s an Oni. My bad! He’s noy the only Oni on this list, but Moloch in particular felt more like something written in a J.R.R. Tolkien book or Warcraft character rather than a Mortal Kombat fighter.

5. Nitara - We got ninjas, cyborgs, Orcs (sorry, Oni), so do we really need vampires? Not to mention she’s the only vampire on the roster (Skarlet’s a blood mage, stark difference between the two). And she only appears in one Mortal Kombat title. Well, technically two, but Armageddon has literally EVERY character that’s ever been in a Mortal Kombat game up to that point. She was also in the 2021 movie, but was dispatched quick as she was introduced.

6. Drahmin - Another Orc. Oni. While granted, the last one I mentioned is actually a sub-boss in Deadly Alliance, this one, well, looks like he’s into kink, sporting a mask and just his undies. He does have a knife in his back, and if you pull it out, he’ll go berserk!

7. Meat - He’s literally what his name is. Just a walking pile of muscle and bones, no skin! Like Mokap, he was added as a goof. According to the lore, he was a failed experiment by Shang Tsung. I’m sorry, I just can’t fathom the idea that a literal evil genius would make a mistake in his experiments!

8. Motaro - Just what we need, a centaur! Or a Minotaur… depends on what Mortal Kombat you’re playing. He was a centaur first introduced as the sub-boss of Mortal Kombat 3, and was actually playable in Armageddon, but became bipedal rather than a quadruped. The reasoning according to Midway was because he was cursed by the Shokans.

9. Dark Kahn - Remember that crossover with DC? No, not DC characters as guest characters on Mortal Kombat, and vice versa. No, in 2008, we got Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. The big baddie of each universe, Shao Kahn and Darkseid, got sucked into an anomaly, merging into one ungodly creature. Um yeah this game didn’t need to happen. But thankfully it gave birth to NetherRealm’s sister series, Injustice.

10. EVERY. GUEST. CHARACTER. - Beginning with Mortal Kombat 2011, there have been characters from other works of fiction available as DLC, called guest characters. It all started with Freddy Krueger in Mortal Kombat 2011, and a PlayStation exclusive in Kratos from the God of War franchise. Other guest characters in Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat 11 include Alien, Predator, Leatherface, Jason Voorhees, Spawn, the Joker, Rambo, T-800 Terminator, and RoboCop. Joker isn’t just some carry-over from the Injustice series; he’s actually a pretty deadly fighter with a pretty sick Fatality.
