Hello there friend! I'm gonna assume you mean the end of Part 2. I didn't watch it lolol. I heard about what happened and it's a happy ending so YAY, but nothing really surprised me sooo yeahhh i'll get around to it when my dramalist feels empty. I do know productiveprocrastination did a recap of the 2nd part of show so you can read it there if you want all the details.

Also idk if you know... Part 1 should be getting uploaded tomorrow(?) on various places with subs. I might go back to giffing it but idk lol.

OMG ProductiveProcrastination the subber who did Love and Redemtion is also subbing Mysterious Love <3 It's only at episode 5 though I can't wait to watch this. Do you know when they get together and if it's a happy ending? Not sure how many scenes they have where they trust and love each other without the typical misunderstands unless this drama is different fingers crossed.

i hate it in chinese historicals specifically when they do half assed subbing like.....you literally can't do that!!!!!! at least for modern dramas to some extent even if the subbing isn't great and you miss out on certain subtleties, you can use the context to try to figure out what might have actually been said. but historical and fantasy its quite literally impossible to do that since a lot of the international audience have little to no background knowledge of the history, culture and language associated with the genre so you can't simplify the subbing just to make it palatable which is why im sooooooo grateful for sites like productiveprocrastination. i feel like they're one of those translation sites that really take into account the weight(?) of the content they're subbing and offer a lot more on the cultural background to make sure audiences actually fully understand what they're watching lmao

Is it just me or the viki subs for Love and Redemption are terrible? Now I don't understand chinese but a lot of the terms they use make no sense to me.

Never watched the Viki subs so cannot comment. I watched with ProductiveProcrastination’s excellent excellent subs (and occasionally Russian subs but those are of no help to you most likely.) I recommend seeking out her website and watching there.
