Inspiration - Fountain of Energy (part two) Last time on #FridaysForFuture, we saw that "Energy can neither be created nor destroyed and so also is Inspiration! In today's read, we will see the basic forms and sources of inspiration. Henry Ford once said "Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right." this forms a base for one principal qoute of mine. It states 'There is actually no such thing as "Doing Nothing". You either are doing this and not that or vice versa'- Reo Undaunted. FORMS OF INSPIRATION. The above qoutes forms a basic foundation of Inspiration for me because it gets me back on track each time I'm drifting away from my goals/dreams. From it, it is easy to identify the forms of inspiration. These are 1. External & 2. Internal forms of inspiration. In physics, they are known as kinetic and potential energy. "An individual's capacity to do work is their potential energy, while kinetic energy is that which is exerted from an external source and is in motion" When an object with K.E comes in contact with another having P.E, that with P.E gains motion thereby becoming kinetic too! Likewise is inspiration! You get inspiration externally but when exerted on your internal inspiration, it sets you in motion. SOURCES OF INSPIRATION. The basic sources of Inspiration in comparison to energy are 1. Conventional energy:- Non-renewable source of energy. Limited in nature, they can't be easily reused once depleted, and reproduced at the rate at which it is produced. In terms of inspiration examples are Encouragement, Advice, Quotes, Lessons, etc. 2. Non-conventional:- Renewable source of energy. Abundant in nature, renewable by natural processes, and can continually be reused. In terms of inspiration, examples include Thoughtfulness, Desire, Expectation, Aspiration. Etc. If you have questions or comments relating inspiration, feel free to DM. Good evening house, how's your day. I'll be going straight to the point about our discuss i.e Goal Setting ⠀ ⠀ But first and foremost what is a goal?⠀ A GOAL as I like to define it, is an IDEA or a collection of IDEAS chosen to be worked upon in order to ACHIEVE a PRESUMED and DESIRABLE END at heart.⠀ ⠀ The difference between a goal and an idea is "ACTION". While an idea remains as a thought in the mind or jotted down a goal is different from an idea in the sense that a propelling of achieving it is attached to it.⠀ ⠀ So while everyone may have an idea only a few actually does something about theirs; and that is becoming motivated by a desire to achieve what they've presumed would be the end of that idea turned goal.⠀ ⠀ So here's a quick assignment for you⠀ 1. What is/ are your idea/ideas⠀ 2. Which of them do you desire to achieve/ accomplish because of what you believe desirable end.⠀ 3. List them and circle them in an order of achievable priority.⠀ 4. Every successful entrepreneurship involves

TAKING RISK

However, the way you handle it will determine if you'd gain the REWARD or become WISER at the end of it all.

A risk which could bring about a positive effect on project objectives, and accordingly can be seen as POSITIVE RISK, however there are also risks that can be a Threat, i.e., those with negative impact "NEGATIVE RISKS"!

There are different strategies to deal with both positive and negative risk when it comes. But for now, our focus will be on the positive ones.

1.) Exploit

Exploitation increases the chances of making a positive risk happen, leading to an opportunity.

To do: Assigned sufficient and efficient resources to take advantage of this.

This approach reduces the UNCERTAINTY associated with a positive risk by ensuring that it HAPPENS.

2.) Share

When not fully capable of taking advantage of an opportunity, call in a partner to help with it. The expertise of a partner is leverage to maximize the turning out of the opportunity.

To do: Establish sharing opportunity with can include *forming risk-sharing Partnerships teams

* unique purpose companies, or

* joint ventures.

In this all parties gains as per their investment and action.

3.) Enhance

Enhancing involves increasing the probability of occurrence of the risk and expanding its impact. This is done by identifying and influencing the various risk triggers.

To do: An example of enhancing an opportunity includes adding more resources to project activities to finish it earlier.

4.) Accept

This involves taking advantage of the positive risk as it happens but not actively pursuing it. It is just like an opportunity coming and being accepted without much pre-planning.

To do: Make sure it's within your capacity and tolerable risk limit levels.

A customers' behavior is one of the fundamental demographic to consider when marketing or selling to them.

Here below, are brief explanations of certain factors that influences their buying behaviour.

Cultural Factor:- Culture is the most fundamental determinant of a person's wants and behaviour. A person acquires their set of values, perception preference, and behaviours through certain key institutions such as family and others.

Hint. Things like nationality, religions, racial group, geographic regions and social classes should be considered when drafting your customers persona and market segmentation.

Social Factors:- Typically seen as reference group, this also has direct or indirect influence on a person's attitude and behavior (who in this case is your ideal customer).

Hint. Consider where they are spending most of their time... Is it with Family? Friend? Work?, with who... school mates? co-worker? family member? and how... Formally? Informally? Corporately? Executively? Elite?

Personal Factors:- A buyer's decisions are also influenced by personal characteristics. These include the buyer's age and stage in the life cycle, occupation, economic circumstances, lifestyle, and personality and self-concept.

Hint. Draw insight from the above listed info. Ask questions like at this age, stage, occupation, economy, etc what appeals more to their needs.

Psychological Factors:- A person's buying choices are influenced by four major psychological factors. These are Motivation, Perception, Learning, and Beliefs and attitude.

Hint. Motivation = hunger, thirst, discomfort, need for recognition, esteem belonging etc

Perception = * selective attention (finding out what a customer needs or anticipates will help keep their attention to you)

* selective distortion (twisting then placing info of customer's needs in a way that helps make them interpret it personally)

* selective retention (giving them info that supports their attitudes and beliefs)

Learning= This involves changes in an individual's behavior due to experience (therefore info them with what they can participate in so they can have a first-hand experience)

Beliefs and Attitude= * Belief is a descriptive thought a person holds about something.

* Attitude is a person's enduring favorable/unfavorable evaluations, feelings, and action tendencies towards something.

Summary.

When you are able to conjugate these factors into your marketing/selling strategy or plan, will will come back hitting the bullseye because of how narrowly specific you'd be marketing/selling to the right (ideal) customer.

Good morning and welcome again to #FridaysForFuture... How is your week going... Great? Okay! A brief story... Sometimes ago, one faithful morning, I woke up and sat up right on my bed. I had big plans for the day. I INTENDED to go on a date for the first time in 7 years since I and my ex parted ways.. I'm a very sensitive person so I had to take time to heal. My INTENTIONS where to close a deal with Obk my Gee, this guy hooks my up with the best NIKE footware that's in tuned with my style (for a person like me who needs to stand out! You've got to meet him). Everyday comes and goes similarly to this, and here we are again saying TGIF!!! (Thank God it's Friday) . My question however is, do we really mean/believe those words we say or are we merely deceiving ourselves. One of my convictions that the Bible is truly the mind of God concerning us (relatively to time) is that it contains words that has proven to be true! True as LAWS & PRINCIPLES like gravitation to the EARTH. Some how, I wonder why we don't trust God's words as much as we do certain laws and theories. One AMAZINGLY true sentence of the Bible is 'people perish because of lack OF KNOWLEDGE' (paraphrased)! This is so true, I call it 'The LAW of COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE'. It states that, in order to be competitively advantaged, you must gain more! And in other to gain 'more' - Reo Undaunted 2020. You must 'KNOW HOW' to gain more. We all start our live as babies learning, preparing and getting ready for life's affairs. Way way back ask YOUNG as we were, we were sent to institutions of learning, all to learn to KNOW! To know how to GAIN more and be at a COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE in life! Some others went even as far as further training themselves all so they can compete favorably in the COARSE stages of life. However, with all the learning, we fail to PRIORITIZE the areas of life which requires much more depths of our DEDICATION! only to sacrifice it for the FABLE TALE of earning a living. DON'T GET ME WRONG! Having a job isn't bad. Remaining an EMPLOYEE is what IS!. We spend QUALITY time pursuing the things that fades away forgetting to put COMMITMENT towards those things that lasts a lifetime! Business, Health, wealth, love, Family etc. Yes we learn, unlearn and relearn! Howdy everyone. It is an honour to talk to you again on 'Goal setting and Strategic planning'. I'm your host Reo Undaunted. ⠀ ⠀ Last time, we saw that there are five (5) pillars of life (which will be concluded today). It's essential to plan your goals in accordance with them.⠀ ⠀ Cont...⠀ A building with faulty pillars is still likely to fall/crumble even though the foundation was laid right. This means that, like the the pillars of a house, the PILLARS of life needs to be carefully planned out, built, and fully integrated from/into your purpose in life.⠀ ⠀ 4. Emotional (Air): Air is the element of freedom. It is dynamic in nature. It has the ability to rapidly change in motion from been still to turbulent yet retaining its essence (one of which is sustaining life).⠀ ⠀ Emotions are like air, from love to hate, from joy to sad etc are how a person's emotions alternates. Yet, as important as air is to life, is how emotions are to purpose. You can't choose being emotional, but you can certainly chose how to handle it. ⠀ ⠀ 5. Financial (Fire): Everyone knows the saying "Money makes the world go round' right? I have a better version. 'Value makes the world go round'. Look at it this way. What is the use of money with no value? Nothing! So in essence, money (as in cash/currencies) is just a representation of a unit of your value, exchangeable per time.⠀ ⠀ Without an exchange of value, there is no way to achieve purpose! That's just it! Take for instance if you don't exchange the value of your time for cash. You'll have no cash. Cash may be used for transportation to get to where a higher value of your time is, than where you where. ⠀ ⠀ Daily, similar exchanges of values to money is done for one major reason... "To aid you achieve purpose". So like combustion is to an engine, so also is finances. Physical (Body): A combination of systems working together in harmony is the body. Its aim is to aid in the actualization of the purpose driven by the beliefs of an individual. If you believe in flying, your body will aid you in working towards it. The firm nature of the body makes it steady like the plumbing. But it is the same steadiness that leads to its wear.⠀ ⠀ 3. Intellectual (Sound): Quick and Purposeful, this pillar holds your trust and convictions, and it is from here most of your life's navigation comes. Until you have an intellectual balance, navigating life or making decisions seems to be a blind jump in a wishful direction.
