the more i learn abt hwang kwanghee's idol career the more bewildered i am.

i believe i saw him first as a host for weekly idol, I think the guest were either skz or nct dream

by that time I didn't think he was an idol, that he was their 2nd gen sunbae, I just thought that he was one of the many famed hosts and mcs of variety shows, thankful that he took care of the boys kindly

tHEN I went back to binging 'we got married'

once SUNHWA enters the meeting room, she’s met with one of the managers, SEO HEEJUNG. “please take a seat.” she advises the model while quickly reviewing through her pile of papers. turning her attention towards the model, HEEJUNG began talking, “like AECHA has informed you before, we’re taking this time to talk to each of the models and see what their future goals are and if it aligns with what we have in store for you. in my files, the staff members and coaches have recorded how you were during bullet inquiry, which by the way was ranked in the top 5 netflix dramas in korea and top 10 in asia. while they were quite pleased with your performance as ryu dahyun, they were curious to know what you see yourself doing in the near future. are there any specific types of gigs that you’re interested in? perhaps acting in the future while modeling?” HEEJUNG questioned, wanting to hear SUNHWA’s answer.

     sunhwa has always been a confident woman, often the type to push herself to her limits when it came to a project, wanting nothing but the highest regards and congratulations upon a job well done. she’s a perfectionist, detail oriented and wanting— so, to have been told her acting performance as part of the bullet inquiry cast had been pleasing ( quiet pleased, at that ) was a major accomplishment in her books. humility was always important, of course, but the blonde felt there was nothing wrong with having a mild abundance of confidence when ones skills were known. it’s praise she’d been expecting to hear, praise that causes a satisfied grin to play at her lips, a small bow being given in thanks for the approval.

     that was all she’d needed in order to know acting was still something she could excel in alongside her work as a model.

     the blonde is silent for a moment, mulling over thoughts she’d thrown around time and time again. sunhwa didn’t want to be a one trick pony. she wanted to do everything she possibly could— modeling, acting, mc-ing. in her eyes, she felt there was boundless potential for her to shine with. “acting is something i’d love to continue doing, that’s an absolute.” her words are clear, head held high and back straight, gaze locking with heejung. “i’ll be graduating university with a bfa in acting this year, and while modeling is of course the focus i enjoy having career wise, i would also love it if my degree wasn’t wasting away in a drawer at home.” her words are laced with humor, lips quirking to one side in jest.

     “i had a wonderful time taking part in bullet inquiry, so i’m happy to know that staff members enjoyed having me on set, as well— i’d be happy with having more opportunities to act in between my regular modeling gigs.” sunhwas hands are folded neatly in her lap where she’s sat, mood high. she gives another bow, this one a bit deeper, longer. “thank you for wanting to take my opinions and thoughts into consideration. there’s a lot i’d like to do in the future, but this would be a good start.”

on AUGUST 15, the staff members send the trainees the script along with information as to what the project is all about. they will be joining SEOHYUN ( @lgcseohyun ) from the acting subsidiary for this project and there will be two videos that will be filmed for the youtube channel ( think of this youtube channel as an indie filming company that posts short slice of life drama videos ).

for YUAN and SEOHYUN, they will be filming THIS VIDEO with YUAN being the convenience store employee and SEOHYUN being the customer.

as for SORI, SUNHWA, and MILAN, they will be filming THIS VIDEO with SORI as SEMI ( around 0:06 in the clip ), SUNHWA as SEOYOUNG ( around 0:17 ) and MILAN as SEOHYUN ( around 0:56 ).

to prepare for this, all of them will be attending acting workshops ( except SEOHYUN, who will be receiving private acting lessons in the meantime ). then during the week of SEPTEMBER 19, all of them will be gathering together to film all of the scenes. the filming will last until SEPTEMBER 23, so that by SEPTEMBER 24 they can attend the family concert.

weirdly specific but on-brand: demon rika and sun-hwa spending christmas together, not necessarily smutty (mmmmmaybe suggestive), just gfs being cute with each other and demon rika being bewildered and fascinated with human christmas traditions

Sun-hwa has managed to get about half the lights tacked up before Rika starts to get bored.

She makes this known not with words, nor with a huff or a sigh or anything so rude, but rather by a motion that suggests something else they could be doing – she coils her tail around Sun-hwa’s leg and begins to stroke her inner thigh with the tip of it.

Given that she’s the one holding the ladder to steady it, this is a bit of a problem.

Sun-hwa pauses with a loop of lights held up to the next nail in the wall. “…babe, now?”

“Oh, no, just ignore me,” Rika says, voice sweet and innocent, but her tail creeps higher.

“Babe.”

Rika blinks wide eyes at her girlfriend, and Sun-hwa heaves a faux-beleaguered sigh before hanging the section of lights on the nail and letting the rest dangle to the floor.

Rika has been very patient with all the festivities thus far, and she is a vision of loveliness in the red dress she’d picked out to get in the spirit of things. She’s even got red ribbons wrapped around her horns, though she declined Sun-hwa’s snickered suggestion of adding bells to them.

So Sun-hwa is willing to put the decorating on hold to oblige her girlfriend. She’s only gotten a step down the ladder, however, when Rika protests. “No, wait.”

“Wait?” Sun-hwa tilts her head. “Gettin some mixed signals here.”

Rika waves a hand and lets go of the ladder. “Keep putting things up. I’ll be right back.”

Sun-hwa huffs out a laugh, but dutifully climbs back up to the top of the ladder and continues stringing up lights. It takes longer than it would if she had Rika there to help – that demonic strength means that up until now, Sun-hwa’s just reached down to use Rika’s horns to balance and swooned as her girlfriend carried the ladder a few paces away so Sun-hwa could tack up more lights – but even when she has to climb down and move the ladder herself, she still manages to reach the last unlit corner, which almost coincides with the end of the string of lights. Well, no one will notice if she just makes a little loop with the extra bit so it doesn’t hang down, right? That’s close enough to perfect.

“Rika,” she calls as she climbs down once more, “I’m gonna put the ladder away and plug in the lights. You need any help?”

“No!”

“Okay, well I guess I’ll–”

“No!” This time, the call is emphatic. “Don’t put the ladder away!”

“O…kay? You got something planned, babe?”

“Yes!” Her voice is closer that time, and then she emerges from the bedroom with something behind her back.

She picks up the ladder one-handed and walks gracefully to the doorway, placing it delicately beneath, then hesitates.

“Here,” she says, placing a foot on the first step, “you hold the ladder.”

And Sun-hwa shrugs but takes her position behind it obligingly.

Rika’s tail curls around Sun-hwa’s arm affectionately as she climbs up, and then she fixes what she’s been holding in the center of the doorway.

When Sun-hwa tries to look up at it, Rika’s tail whips up to cover her eyes. “No peeking,” she scolds.

Sun-hwa holds up her hands placatingly as Rika climbs down, and remains still as Rika places one hand on her hip and replaces her tail with her other hand, keeping Sun-hwa’s eyes covered as she leans in for a kiss.

It’s surprisingly chaste, given the earlier suggestiveness, and Sun-hwa can feel Rika smiling against her lips as she pulls away.

“Alright,” Rika murmurs, “you can look now.”

Sun-hwa peers up at the doorway to find –

“Mistletoe. Of course.”

“I don’t quite understand the tradition,” Rika admits, “we don’t need an excuse to kiss.”

“That we don’t,” Sun-hwa agrees.

“But it is rather pretty,” Rika says. “It may be very human to use all those excuses just to do what you wanted to do along. It’s certainly one of the more fun traditions I’ve seen over the centuries. Much better than rioting in the streets. And now, whenever I catch you under here, you’ll have no way out of a kiss. And…” Her smile turns wicked, and her green eyes, already unnaturally bright, flash with unspoken mischief. Sun-hwa’s eyes narrow.

“You were in there for a while,” Sun-hwa notes. “You wouldn’t have happened to, ah… find the rest of the mistletoe and do your own decorating?”

Rika’s smile widens and her tail swishes playfully. “It just looked so perfect above the bed. And the door. And the dresser. And–”

Sun-hwa laughs, and leans in to press a kiss to Rika’s cheek. “Alright then,” she says, “I believe you. Let’s go take a look at how nice the bedroom looks thanks to your careful touch, hmm?”

And they start off towards the room.  

“You can be remarkably unsubtle sometimes for an immortal demon,” Sun-hwa remarks, “and I love it.”

Rika laughs. “You know,” she says, sliding an arm around Sun-hwa’s waist, “mistletoe may be my favorite of your traditions, but I do like the tendency to give anything lacy and frilly and red out as gifts.”

“…do you have another surprise waiting for me in there?”

“Mmh… I might.” Her tail wraps around Sun-hwa’s leg and begins to rub at her thigh again.

And Sun-hwa grins. “Merry fucking Christmas to me.”

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, WANNABE!

It’s nearing the end of October! You know what that means? The Comet Halloween Party is almost here. Comet reps have confirmed that the annual event is indeed happening once more, and we cannot wait to see what spooky get-ups the attendees cook up this year. What costume would you choose to attend in? 

The Comet Entertainment Halloween Party is an annual event put on, of course, by Comet Entertainment. Hosted by the company’s eccentric CEO, Oh Dongwon, the party is attended by Comet’s own idol acts, but also extends invites to Hongdo and Blackout acts, as well. The event is something of a fixture for idol fans hoping to see rare interactions between their biases, and favourite groups.

Less advertised, however, is the fact that Comet also brings along specially chosen trainees, and invites Blackout and Hongdo to do the same. The event is fun and games on its surface, of course; the idols arrive in costume, and walk a red carpet to enter the venue, enjoy live performances by comedians and seniors, and participate in the yearly costume contest (which there is a special ‘trainee’ category for), but it’s also an important networking event for a number of industry insiders, and executives, who attend. Trainees enter the event through rear doors, and although a few...especially devoted fans often sneak their way around to have a look at the future faces of Kpop, their presence is kept quiet. They are likely warned by managers and trainers in preparation for the event that they are expected to be on their best behaviour, and that their attendance is more of a test of their professionalism than anything else. So have a bit of fun, if you dare, but be certain to dabble only in TREATS and not in TRICKS, lest you land yourself in hot water with your betters.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Though the main focus of the event is the idols, they are not the only ones invited to the event. As previously stated trainees will also be invited (you can assume that your muse was one of those chosen to attend), however all creatives and staff will be invited as well. Managers will be expected to keep an eye on the trainees they manage, though not as closely as they would usually–they are also expected to have fun!

Creatives and Staff will enter through the back with the trainees. Trainees will be driven to the event by Managers, and Creatives will be expected to make their own way to the venue, which is being held in a closed off part of a fancy hotel. 

PARTY ITINERARY 

To start the night off, DW himself will be performing his latest hit single ‘Still Alive’, followed by performances from Noh Sunhwa and Chae Seongsoo, Hongdo and Blackout’s CEOs. Once the CEOs have performed the idol stages will commence, starting with Comet’s Celeste, followed by Hongdo’s NEXGN, and lastly Blackout’s N:BT. While the performances are going on party attendees are expected to behave respectfully, but are encouraged to have fun and enjoy the music as long as they do not draw any negative attention to themselves. 

Following the performances a band will be playing instrumental versions of songs from all three companies throughout the night. Attendees may request specific songs if they desire. Shortly following the performances a spooky supper will be held. A crew of ‘zombies’ will deliver an enormous buffet to each table, included in which are ‘bloody burgers’, which are simply regular burgers dyed a deep, blood-red colour, ‘eyeball soup’, which is a soup with specially carved vegetables in that look like eyeballs, and ‘finger ice cream’, which is ice cream containing chocolate’s moulded into the shape of severed fingers. That isn’t all though–there’s an abundance of food to suit everyone’s tastes, from vampires, to minions. 

Once dinner is eaten and everyone is about to explode, then the fun truly begins! These are all the activities available at the party:

DANCE FLOOR - There will be a dance floor, kitted out with your signature light-up floor, open all night. The band will be playing anything from hip-hop to slow ballads, so if you’re intending to dance with a special someone, make sure you watch out for managers–though rules will be slightly more lax for the party–just don’t go locking lips with someone in plain view of everyone! The dance floor will be where a fun little dance battle will be held. Feel free to hop in a show off your moves–winner is the person receiving the loudest cheers!

PHOTO BOOTH - There will be multiple photo booths around the venue, where you can take group pictures with your friends, drag your reluctant manager in for a funny photo, or even take a cute set of pictures with a special someone. It’s free, and comes with a box of props, such as fake funny noses, feather boas, and masquerade masks in a box just outside the booth. 

KARAOKE ROOMS - Off the main hall where dinner is held, and the dance floor is situated, you’ll find multiple small rooms with karaoke machines. Though not large enough to fit more than about four people inside, theses are great places to have a little sing song with your friends!

TWISTER COMPETITION - On the main stage, once vacated by the senior acts, two twister mats will be set up with volunteer staff as the wheel spinners. Competitors will be split by gender and rounds will happen when groups reach a maximum of 4 people.  The winners get random prizes that can be anything from some fancy sheet masks, to an iPad or coupon for a day at a luxurious spa. 

APPLE BOBBING - You can’t have a halloween party without a bit of good ole apple bobbing! Lined out across the back of the main hall are big tubs of water with apples floating in them. If you manage to pick one up out of the water, you’ll get a ticket to redeem a day off of training for whenever you choose (as long as it doesn’t clash with a company event)!

COSTUME COMPETITION - Throughout the night attendees will be able to cast a vote in a box by the stage for who they think has the best costume this year. At the end of the night a group of impartial people will count the votes, and DW will call out the winner who will get to come up on stage and have a fun karaoke session with DW himself. They’ll also be given 3 days off of training that they can redeem at any time (again, the same rules apply–no clashing with company events). The winner of the costume party will be chosen at the end of the event (IC time) by a random generator. 

TO PARTICIPATE

To participate in the Halloween Party event, please write a 300+ word solo, or a four-post thread with another member, detailing the time you had! You can write about any of the listed activities, the dinner, watching the performances from the seniors, or even about your muses arrival, or departure from the event. The event will happen IC on October 31st from 6pm until 2am, and attendees will be given the following day off of training. OOC this event will run from October 24th until November 14th. Threads may be continued after this point, but no new ones should be started. Please tag all posts related to this event with wb:halloween20 .
