Wilbur's statement, transcript:

In the past week a series of allegations have been made over my conduct from an ex-girlfriend. I want to emphasize that, although I feel it fair to offer my perspective , this person person's feelings are completely valid. I have taken my time sharing this statement as I wanted to process and respond respectfully and with the hope to gain a deeper understanding for the situation. During our relationship's final months, I regrettably became slobbish, disrespectful, and selfish. These actions caused a lot of pain to my ex-girlfriend and I've since sought therapy to address these behaviors, making significant lifestyle changes to rectify my past actions. I have come to realize how much my past behavior hurt this person, but I truly, compassionately believe I have made great strides from the person I once was and hope I can continue to grow and improve on this trajectory.  The allegations of abuse, particularly in the form of biting, deeply shocked me. throughout a relationship I understood from our numerous conversations the text messages exchanges on the subject, that this Behavior was consensual, playful and reciprocally enjoyed. I truly believe those personal messages exchanges reflect Mutual affection and understanding. out of respect for her, I choose not to publish them and emphasize my perspective is not shared to diminish or invalidate anyone's feelings. instead I share in the hope that I can offer a genuine fair and relevant insight into my understanding of the situation. while I may perceive or interactions differently I recognize that this person has process and express feelings of hurt. I want to extend my sincerest apologies for any pain that I caused.  I am fully committed to understanding and addressing her concerns going forward. I hope my perspective sheds light on the situation without distracting from its message.  I am dedicated to earning and maintaining the trust of those around me and hope I continue to be held to these high standards I wish to attain and maintain. - will

wilbur soot to be specific? Could someone explain? I have an idea but I dont have a twitter account and whatever since twiiter is full of too much drama for me, so I can't exactly go through his twitter or tweets.

Im not here to defend him if he did something wrong, im simply asking for what he did.

Edit: I understand now. thank you. I do not support him for what he did. Makes me sad to now work on un-doing some projects though. Like for the QSMP with q!Wilbur and whatever, needing to un-do and change it to not have him in it. Rough. Also to think that in 2021 his streams gave me comfort makes me feel sick. In a sad way. Shubble is strong and I will support her.

In light of recent events surrounding Wilbur’s actions towards Shelby, not only have his former discord mods abandoned his channel as well as all (if not most of) his twitch mods quitting, the former Wilbur soot subreddit is now dedicated to Wilbur Wright, the inventor of the plane.

Let me introduce you to this beautiful artwork, what a way to memorise such a glorious inventor.

Likely case is that the subreddit will soon be archived in the next couple of days or weeks to prevent it from becoming lost media in the future.

To add on, Wilbur has been hands off with his moderation and community for years, leaving many things up to his staff. With the permissions they have, if his mods wanted to and if he ever dared to stream again, they could overthrow him and prevent his chat from being properly moderated. So as you can imagine, and rightly so, they’ve revolted too.

i always thought of Wilbur as a fantastic writer and how the fuck did this guy MAKE SUCH A BAD STATEMENT that he got upstaged by DREAM??

This is one of the best things i've ever seen come from Dream. Words, actions, and intent, and to have someone who, for better or worse, has such a big platform support Shelby is just amazing to see.

I hope Shelby is getting the help she needs. I hope Tommy is taking his time. I hope Niki doing well. I hope they are taking this time to sort through their feelings. I hope they are listened to.

I hope Shubble heals from her time with Wilbur.

I hope everyone Wilbur has hurt can heal from this.

I hope Wilbur's victims thrive without him. I hope the other members of Lovejoy start something new. I hope the mcyt community will be better with one less abuser in our space.

so with the Wilbur situation happening and more people talking about Shubble I thought it’d be a good time to recommend and talk about Shubble stuff that I’ve loved and have lived rent free in my head for years. (All of which are older stuff, Shubble was my jam like 6 years ago)

Agents - This is a series that started out as the typical comedy bit where Shelby and their friend Max (Mithzan) pretend to be Secret agents on a mission. They play old Minecraft mini games and challenges and are just a really funny duo together and they play off really well. However they start to incorporate lore and returning characters into the videos which create an overarching story to the Agents series. The original series that came out in 2016 (ish?) Ends with the end of the world and many mysteries unexplained. However there is a prequel series Shubble made after the Original Agents which explore Agent Shed and Zeds backstory, how they met, and gives Shelby’s love interest (Death (or well actually its deaths son?? In the prequel he hasn’t taken over for his father yet) also yes Shelbys character has a crush thing on death) a personality and character as well. I loved this thing, honestly I still do love this series it’s silly and the mystery made me lose it as a kid. It honestly is still my jam I will most likely rewatch this one soon.

Mystery Hotel - This is a roleplay mystery series Shubble did that has less of the comedy and buddy cop duo of Agents but more story and an almost haunting vibe. It has Shelby as a person walking into a hotel hoping to get a room to crash for the night and being trapped in the hotel and the other guests rooms. The guests are all her friends and they play games and challenges and when they succeed the guests are free from their rooms. This one is more actually one off than agents but it has a really nice vibe and the people all seem to be having a good time doing this. There is also a heavy sprinkle of lore between the fun so it leaves you with questions and wanting to find out more. I honestly do not remember the ending because I watched it when it came out and it was a long time ago.

Shelby almost dies in a stairwell - This story time video has been in my head for 7 years. I NEED to tell someone about this. Shelby got trapped in the stairwell and this is her video about that. This video turned me off of conventions forever and gave me permanent paranoia of being stuck in a stairwell. I think I watched this video like 18 times when I first saw it and I cannot tell you why. AND THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I cannot explain why these videos are so special to me they just are. Someone please tell me you share the experience of watching these I’m going to lose my mind.
