I need to rant - this isn’t for people, this is for me but you’re welcome to read my opinion if you want but you do not have to - if you’ve got something negative please keep it to yourself like I said this is for me

So first things first the coronavirus. This isnt where you think it’s going. I am immunocompromised - meaning that I get ill easy and my body can look after itself properly and I can’t take any painkillers for anything except plain paracetamol. I have poor attendance at university anyway because of my physical and mental health. My course needs good attendance in order to pass so I forced myself, a vulnerable person, to go in because they hadn’t closed my university for a pointless lecture on climate change when I do a teaching degree and didn’t link relevance once. They seminar was useful.... but we ended 3 hours early and the relevance was low. They actually told us that we were valued because we came in!! What so if we were self isolating for an important reason like my friend who is pregnant and diabetic they aren’t valued?! She is vulnerable and so am I yet I’ve risked my health and I should not be praised for that! I find it disgusting and not the kind of professional behaviour that we should be learning.

Secondly, do not get me wrong I love the NHS I think they are amazing but right now I am struggling I will run out of important medication because I can’t get an appointment in a weeks time before I run out because people are panicked about the virus. I have been waiting for an ambulance to get me for 2 hours because I’m not considered serious enough I’m in agony can barely stay conscious but I’m still waiting. The NHS need help and more resources and staff because people like me who need help can’t wait because we’re not dying or not perceived as dying. I’ve had this problem for a year and no one knows because they aren’t giving me the time of day because they can’t. I can’t survive like this I need to find the problem and solve it but it won’t work if we aren’t doing anything

It's lovely to see how appreciated Humans of the Pandemic is, particularly by specialties who don't often see the spotlight.
