@tamamoarts 's marmie got me inspired to make my own version! It only goes by SW7 or experiment 7! Something definitely went wrong on one of the MoJ's experiments, now they have this abomination.

i dont really have too much backstory on it. i just wanted to make my own version of the Smiler ;; hope yall like it. [it usually always has a bubbly disposition even when doing terrible things!]

Monster High-ified The Smiler. This is Marlissa, a robot with the goal of spreading happiness in less than ethical ways.

She was a partially marmalised normie like Miles, always happy, but also capable of thought and partial free will. She ended up in a Glados-like situation, in which they planned to have the minister’s consciousness transferred into a robot body, but they died before they could, so she was chosen as a replacement.

I know logically, she’s too complicated and bulky to be made into an affordable doll, but she’s my oc and not an actual character, so who cares.

Oh I’m cooking. Cooking up a little project for something I did recently. Yeah cringe all that idc. It’s for a kids tv show in my big oc universe so whatever. I love this little guy, and a lot of the train characters I’ve made, I just wish I could draw trains more often, without it being a pain but for now have a sketch Ernie. Really pleased with how this turned out actually

Despite the inclement January weather, snowdrops were beginning to flower in the garden at Sunnyside, one of the two original mock Tudor houses built in the early 1930s by the new and overly enthusiastic English proprietor of the tiny Scottish hamlet of Achmothogair, which the absentee laird, dreaming of the good life from the comfort of a well-padded armchair in his study in Kensington SW7, optimistically renamed Sunnyville.

The foolish laird is of course long gone, much to the relief of the indigenous population, but his heritage lives on, and the current residents take great pride in their gardens, which, in the context of the rough and wild moorland and peat bogs surrounding them, sometimes appear just a wee bit incongruous, to say the least.

However, the birds and animals of the area are evidently grateful for the kinder environment which the well-tended gardens provide, and the residents of Sunnyside take great pains to ensure that all creatures great and small are well looked after… providing they don't dig up the snowdrops.

On the cover for sw7, it looks like Wanda is wielding her magic as like, a spear/halberd/staff/some such, with the point above Tommy’s head, holding it diagonally across her back. (It’s really cool how distinct the three characters’ magic seems to be beyond just different colors, RD does such a great job)

It got me wondering what you might think would be a good “signature weapon” for Wanda (and/or her kids). Not that I think she should have a super special weapon she uses all the time or even all that often (she doesn’t need a soul sword or mjolnir knockoff; more like how Storm tends to use knives just bc she’s particularly experienced with them) but just generically. If she’s practice sparring with the avengers (or in any kind of armed combat situation) do you think she has a preferences?

He does do a good job, and the cover is stunning-- but I do kinda feel like, logically, Billy and Wanda's magic should look the same, just in different colors? Especially since he made a point of giving them the same galaxy effect? Just a thought.

Anyway, yeah, throughout Orlando's run on Scarlet Witch, one of Wanda's go-to moves in a fight is to conjure magical energy constructs in the form of weapons, armor, etc. The spear or halberd that she's carrying on the cover of #7 is a bit more stylized than what we normally see in interiors, but that's definitely what's going on here.

She does something similar with an axe in Avengers (2023) #8, and she manifests a sword and shield a couple times in Scarlet Witch (2016) and the Star miniseries.

I definitely think that Wanda is good with a sword. The sword and shield were the first recurring example of her magic-weapon ability, and when you think of who Wanda would have trained with or fought alongside during her original tenure as an Avenger, it makes sense that she'd be comfortable using both. Kinda makes me want to see her with a bow and arrow. But energy swords aren't exactly unique-- lots of characters have them. If this trick is going to be part of her repertoire moving forward, I want her to keep using a variety of different weapons. Creativity and adaptability are essential to Wanda's powers and personality.

As far as Wanda's actual training and fighting style goes-- she's a brawler. She throws a mean punch, and she's clearly had hand-to-hand combat training. That's always been her fighting style, when she's not using her powers, and I really like it. I like that it always takes her enemies by surprise. I'm not sure if this is the case where Wanda's from, specifically, but boxing and prizefighting are, like, kind of a big deal in Romani culture, so I always like it when Wanda and Pietro are shown to be good at hand-to-hand.

Yaknow, the series didn’t start the way it’s going.

It originally focused mainly on Ernie and Buddy, the two little switch engines who work for Corp Co (Corporation Company). It was originally more like a Thomas The Tank Engine ripoff than anything. Complete with a narrator, and the shorts were going to be structured more like a script than a story.

But I couldn’t figure out a way to format it so it would be pleasing to the eye (I know the way I write shorts isn’t the right way or the most pleasing, but I’m learning and I don’t quite know how to do it properly yet so be patient, open to suggestions though!), so it was changed. But that doesn’t mean the first little sketch of the two lads didn’t follow that original formula!

Drawn in one of my sketchbooks this was the very first thing I’d ever drawn for the series! Not the cleanest, nor does it have the best proportions, but it was probably made almost a year ago, or at least around six months or so, probably a bit more. Not to mention, it was a concept I had no intentions of cleaning up.

BUT, as you can see it was to be written more like a storybook or something of the sort. I was going to illustrate them at some point, but I quickly realized that would be biting off more than I could chew (at least for now).

Funnily enough, this scene was used in an actual short! The dialogue was just changed a bit and the structure of the scene was a little different. It was used in the first short "Switched Out" which actually, this drawing inspired the whole thing!
