idk if you live in Delhi, but on the day kejriwal got arrested, I was in the aadhar card office trying to update mine, and like, there were people from rural areas there as well, and...they were being told that if they give more money, there work will be done earlier, while ppl who had none to give stood in the heat outside. all while the aap rep sat in her ac office urging ppl to give bail to a man who already has a ton of money....elections are really mask off and i wasn't naive abt corruption, but wow.

lmao. that happens in every govt office in the country man. the more money you cough up, the earlier and easier you can get your work done. in my experience, it has reduced in uttar pradesh (where i live) to some extent but from what i have heard, delhi is hellish these days. which isn't surprising considering the party in power. literally whoever votes for kejriwal is insane. 😭

On CCTV, Delhi Teen's Chilling Murder By Boyfriend, Arrested

Delhi teen murder: The 16-year-old girl goes still but the frenzied attack doesn't stop, shows extremely disturbing footage captured on a security camera in north Delhi's Rohini yesterday.

New Delhi: On camera, a girl is stabbed multiple times and struck with a stone slab by a man, as people pass them by, staring in alarm but doing nothing to stop the attack.

The 16-year-old girl goes still but the frenzied attack doesn’t stop, shows extremely disturbing footage captured on a security camera in north Delhi’s Rohini yesterday.

The girl was killed, allegedly by her boyfriend Sahil, on a busy lane in a dense neighbourhood but no one could save her.

The man was arrested from Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr today.

The couple had fought the previous evening, the police said.

On Sunday evening, the man attacked the teen with a knife and stabbed her repeatedly. At one point, the knife appeared to get stuck, and the killer had to shake it loose.

Then the man picked up a stone slab and struck her repeatedly, the chilling video shows.

He appeared to walk off but then returned to hit her with the rock again.

The girl was on her way to the birthday party of her friend’s son when she was attacked, the police said.

“They were in a relationship, but yesterday they had a quarrel. The teen was planning to attend her friend’s son’s birthday. The man followed her and stabbed her multiple times and hit her with stone,” a senior official said.

The police, alerted by residents, arrived at the spot to find the girl’s body and blood pooled around her. Police teams are searching for the killer.

Delhi women’s panel head, Swati Maliwal, said a notice has been issued to police over the incident. “The crime was captured on CCTV. Several people saw this, but did not pay heed. Delhi has become extremely unsafe for women and girls,” the news agency quoted her as saying

Swati Maliwal Case: New Charge Added Against Bibhav Kumar

The Delhi Police has added the IPC section for "disappearing evidence and giving false information" against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar in AAP MP Swati Maliwal's assault case, an official said on Monday.

Kumar is accused of assaulting Maliwal at the chief minister's official residence on May 13.

The official said Section 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was added in the case.

Section 201 carries a provision for imprisonment of one-sixth of the punishment awarded for the biggest offence in the crime, he added.

The FIR against Kumar was registered on May 16 under provisions of the IPC such as those related to criminal intimidation, assault or criminal force on a woman with the intent to disrobe, and attempt to commit culpable homicide.

Maliwal, a former chief of the Delhi Commission for Women, alleged that Kumar attacked her with full force, slapped and kicked her when she had gone to meet Kejriwal.

According to a senior police officer, Kumar's mobile phone was found to have been formatted when he was arrested from Kejriwal's residence on May 18.

He was in Mumbai before returning to Delhi.

The police took Kumar to Mumbai twice. He is suspected to have formatted his mobile phone in Mumbai but did not disclose the place where he formatted it or the person with whom he shared the data, the officer said.

During his police custody, Kumar did not cooperate in the investigation, he added.

Another police officer said three CCTV DVRs (digital video recorders) were collected from Kejriwal's residence -- two from cameras installed at the entrance and one outside the drawing room.

The DVRs were sent to the forensic science laboratory as it was suspected that these were tampered with. The reports were awaited, he said.

Kumar was arrested on May 18 and is currently lodged in Tihar jail.

Swati Maliwal assault case: Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar moves High Court against arrest

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's close aide Bibhav Kumar on Wednesday moved the Delhi High Court challenging his arrest in connection with the alleged assault on AAP MP Swati Maliwal at the CM's residence earlier this month. As reported by PTI, in his petition, Bibhav Kumar sought a direction to declare his arrest as illegal and to acknowledge that it constitutes a serious violation of the provisions outlined in Section 41A of the Code of Criminal Procedure. He argues that his arrest runs counter to the mandates of the law. He also sought “appropriate compensation" for his “illegal"arrest and initiation of departmental action against the erring officials who were involved in the decision making of his arrest. On Monday, Kumar's bail plea was dismissed by a sessions court here, which said there appeared no “pre-meditation" by Maliwal in lodging the FIR and that her allegations could not be “swiped away", PTI reported.

Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has accused Bibhav Kumar of assaulting her at the official residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on May 13. Kumar was subsequently arrested on May 18, and on the same day, a magisterial court granted the police custody of Kumar for five days, noting that his anticipatory bail plea had become irrelevant due to his arrest.
