Dirt Boi Committee! + Timber bcuz Miner’s bf. Minus Farmer because my human design is well established. 

Honestly for once I’m actually really happy with all 6 of these designs?? Asdjk the historical bros are especially cool for being bg characters. Anyway, notes!

-Miner has long standing Irish heritage and is pale anyway but coupled with spending half his time in sunless mines as soon as he emerges he blinds everyone in a 3 meter radius. You can use him as an emergency flashlight on dark nights /j However despite being pretty slim in order to fit down mineshafts, he’s far stronger than he looks and can wield a pickaxe like no other Smurf.

-Timber is the 180 body type. Tanned, buff and beefy and hairy. A bear, basically, with large arms for swinging that axe. Excellent hugger, if you don’t mind a couple of cracked ribs /j

-Cockney lad Sweepy! Born and raised in London, refuses to watch Mary Poppins on account of DVD’s bad accent, although does often sing Chim Chimney to himself, he can’t help it. Very lithe and small, one of the shorter men of the village, has to fit down chimneys of course.

-Sloppy, the bane of Tracker’s existence. Tho he’s doing better these days hygiene wise you’ll be pleased to know. That being said he’s essentially works as the village binman so everyone’s rubbish gets collected on time and disposed of properly and he still doesn’t mind being covered in it but he IS to take an immediate shower if he’s to step foot in Sweepy’s house. Owns a black shih tzu called Fly.

-Archie and Pal the reight northern blokes. Nowt they won’t discover and dig, aye. Like all northerners, they’re immune to cold and will be seen in shorts during midwinter. Archie is far more extroverted and Pal is a bit more socially awkward, but both can be very excitable when dealing with their points of interest in history.

-Not entirely sure what’s going on with Skelly and Archie. Are they friendly rivals, besties, vitriolic best buds, lovers, mortal enemies, a combo of all of the above? Who knows but whatever it is is hilarious. Having dedicated his entire life to the study of ancient Smurf history, to randomly one day have a living ….. uhhhh …. Reanimated ancient Smurf walking around is kind of a big deal to Archie!!

-Self-explanatory Sloppy redemption arc headcanon

-Yay angst w/ Roseate. She’ll be fine, albeit paralysed knees down. Song is ‘Not While I’m Around’ From Sweeney Todd which ironically is also sung by a cockney boy in that show.

-Archie and Pal employee the otherworldly skills of Nova on the frequent. That doesn’t stop them arguing about their finds tho.

Yea- Like sometimes it can get pretty deep for a kids show, especially the episode where Smurfette's Squeaky died. ; ;

But yeaa- people would say that the Smurfs are a lot more sweet and kind-hearted in the 80s cartoon compared to the comics, when honestly the Smurfs depending on the episodes can be absolute a**holes.

Uhh- Up coming personal rant, these are more so my own personal opinions than analyzing the characters. If you don't want to read it then maybe don't click on keep reading. Below the rant involves me being angry over Smurfs and kinda hating on Brainy ^^;

I'm still fricking mad at the Smurfs for mistreating Sweepy like oh my fricking gosh- How the frick is he still going to work smiling, when it's implied he's been facing this kind of treatment from the other smurfs for many years? He's such a sweetheart huhu *sob* I'm planning to rant about this boi, but it's because I wanna protect this boi 😭

And Clumsy, why are they so mean to Clumsy? Leave him alone- He's doing his smurfin best. I'm saying this especially to Brainy Smurf in that cartoon

I want to rant about Brainy, but with the opposite intentions from Sweepy >:(

Either way, Clumsy and Sweepy deserve to be protected from this cruel world, even the Smurfs in the other versions don't treat Clumsy this harshly

I might need to explain the context here. this is drawing done quite awhile ago, Me (sky) and the mods joked that painter began to get suspicious of his missing boyfriend ‘writer’ and growled to brainy about it.

Brainy then explained the situation that writer and the other emotion volunteers are currently in Sweepy Smurf’s mind. (In arc 2 btw)

Painter took advantage of this information and straight up poked Sweepy’s head speaking to them rather then poor Sweepy.

If Pigment is Mari, I was wondering if Begonia were to be Kel. I feel she'd fit as Kel.

But I also have this concept where each day, Ash would have a new set of team members that accompany on her journey, due to Graphite in the Real World not really having a close friend group. So yea I'm not really sure.

I only have an this for an idea, though it's not official:

Day 1- Storm, Lily (or Mint), and Blossom (or Begonia)

Day 2- Dr Brainstorm, Klutz, Sweeps (Sweepy Smurf)

Day 3- Pigment, Painter, and Jokester.

Also since Jokester's here, here's some information on the prankster jester:

He's a jester who loves pranks and entertaining. He's also very skilled at magic tricks. He can also be pretty petty since he can dish out a joke, but can't take one. When he's being pranked by someone else, he complains about it not being funny and declares a prank war on the Smurf who dares to prank him. And once again, he's kinda unhinged. Sometimes he doesn't know how to control his energetic nature, so at some point if he gets too excited, he becomes manic. He also has this special ability in battle where he pranks the team with an exploding present that makes the whole team angry while raising his stats.

IOGHDILK Seriously though- Where's Jokey dressing up as a jester in the canon franchise? I swear he fits the qualities of a jester, but I don't think I have seen him being a jester unless it's fanart. It's really cool he's a clown, yes
