I was searching Taylor theories and holy shit.

Like you were spot on with the phone aspect. Like the first Midnights Mayhem was September 20th. Taylor answered a phone to announce the tracklist.

And Midnights is a very vulnerable album with songs like “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve” and “Bigger Than The Whole Sky”.

And the phrasing of “in the dawn of a new day” with a version of Midnights called “Til The Dawn”

This picture gives me “old taylor can’t come to the phone right now vibes” she’s holding the phone but not actively engaging with it. She can’t - she isn’t the taylor they’re looking for

So maybe some of the sleepless nights are from her disappearance and losing herself in that process. She talks about how Midnights is all about meeting yourself, or hoping to.

She talks about keeping the lanterns burning. Related to keeping that flame alive, that whisper of magic and fire she had within herself to keep going / to keep making music

I think these songs are going to be her explaining what happened In the midst of her worst tragedy. How at Midnight we meet ourself in the shadows and in the dawn of a new day where we can decide to keep going. I feel this album is going to be really deep and coming from a darker place emotionally than maybe we’ve seen Taylor in before

And when the clock strikes 12 - Cinderella style - who will we turn in to? Someone new, someone borrowed, or someone blue? Very ready to see what Taylor has to share with us
