Recently I learned my disorders (Chiari Malformation and Syringomyelia) got worse after a two and a half hour MRI where/when I requested to listen to Taylor Swift the whole time. So they put Taylor on for me as I am put into the machine and the song “Long Live” came on and it just made me feel so much better. Every time that song comes on it reminds me of when life was better and I could laugh so much more. It brings back so many memories of car rides with all eras of Taylor on shuffle and dancing around with a hair brush in my hand singing all the lyrics into the brush. I’ve grown up with Taylor from the time I was 8 her first album was released. Taylor, unknowing, has been with me through everything. Whether it be being bullied as a kid and being able to listen to Taylor on my iPod listening to my favorite song “A Place In This World” and block them all out or when I didn’t have many friends and “Mean” was my jam, knowing one day this would all be over made me feel so much better. Then Red came with “Stay Stay Stay” and I’d dream of being in a relationship with all my crushes. And then 1989 with “Clean” how much I could relate with how crazy life had gotten and feeling as if I was swallowed by it but in that time I found myself and could finally breathe happy to be me. Now it’s the Reputation era and I have a relationship that is Dress and Dancing With Our Hands Tied combined into one. But let’s not forget the Fearless Era where I always fall to the trademark song Fearless, “Cause I don’t know how it gets better than this.You take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless And I don’t know why but with you I’d dance In a storm in my best dress, fearless”. At first this quote resonated in me as to be fearless meant to be myself then it morphed into going to college and leaving home and now it’s dealing with the illnesses and how they are progressing. I go to so many appointments now and I have to see a surgeon. I’m scared but these words always go through my head and it’s like Taylor is always with me going through it all with me and in a way she has, her voice angelic in my ears and I listen to her music. Her music and her bring me so much happiness and joy no matter how tough life has gotten. Right now it’s whether I’m struggling through classes in college, at PT or at the neurosurgeon. Chiari and Syringomyelia have made my life hard with neck/back pain, excruciating migraines and partial paralysis of my right ankle but I keep going and I think that’s thanks to Taylor and all her love and music and just well everything she is and stands for. Taylor is honestly my hero as I don’t think I would be doing okay right now without her in my life. I even just bought a rose gold snake ring to match my rose gold medical bracelet. Taylor means so much to me, she is not only my inspiration, my idol, my hero but is my angel giving me the strength to carry on no matter what life throws at me. One day I hope to be able to thank her for all she has done for me and how she keeps me going. Please help me get this to Taylor and/or Taylor Nation so Taylor can see that she is my angel. 

Update- I now have worse dizziness but I’m pushing through. I have another Neurosurgeon appt. in September. @taylorswift is who gets me through this. She is my rock. Just her being an amazing person and having her songs to jam to makes my life so much better and I’d love the chance to thank her on Rep Tour in Miami. I’m taking my cousin to her first concert since she loves Taylor because it’s what we listened to together since she was itty bitty. Now I’m focusing energy on making a dress and taking my GRE’s and got a job while managing my health. Please share so Taylor can know she is my all time angel. @taylorswift @taylornation

I need to meet her this era even if it means crashing to her dressing room when she holds her tour in Manila. Only 75 days till I, Spoonie Kat, see you in Miami! Before then I finish my first ever internship and take my GRE for the first time and go to a rocket engineering competition! I make the explosive stuff even though I’m a Biopsychology, cognition and neuroscience major. So many milestones I will be making this summer thanks to you and teaching me to believe in self.
