Pan Judged Spar [Piccolo & Zomu]

cc-dbz-skw “It’s amusing that you declined to become the next Guardian of the Earth when Kami offered you the job, and now you’re a Supreme Kai,” Piccolo commented as he approached Zomu. “I overheard your talk with Gohan, you want to spar, with Pan being the judge, right?”

"Yeah, it's sorta...what's the fancy word that Gohan's students use...'ironic'? Yeah, ironic!" Zomu nodded fervently as he felt more confident in understanding literary devices. "Yeah, I'm up to spar with you! Is lil' Pan ready?"

"Hmph, to think you would best me in vocabulary like this one day," Piccolo commented with a chuckle. Hopefully, Zomu will not start speaking more formally like a Supreme Kai too.

"Yeah!" Gohan answered as he flew over with Pan. "Pan will be judging, but I want to see this for myself too!"

"Well then follow me, I'll lead you all to an island where we can have our battle without worrying about the surroundings." The Namek then flew ahead, leading them to a deserted island, perfect for them to go all out.

"Alright, do you want to set any rules?" PIccolo asked as he landed, trying to address Zomu by name but wasn't too sure about the preference. "By the way, what do we call you now by name?"

"The other supreme kais get all up in arms when I go to see people or go to new places. I just don't wanna be trapped in one place. Man, what made them so uptight?" Zomu crossed his arms behind his head. "I have a whole universe to explore!"

"Didn't our Supreme Kai visit us before though? You know because of Buu?" Krillin pointed out, though that seemed like a one-off thing with the universe at stake. Zomu's exploring, while seemingly harmless, he could understand why the other Kais were cautious, especially if they were set in their ways.

"That's rough buddy, I guess there are still rules even with higher powers like that huh. But say you ignore them and go continue to do your thing, how are they going to stop you?" he asked curiously. It just sounded like they were just complaining about Zomu at this point, unless they were also warning him about taking action to stop him.

At first the hybrid had merely watched Zomu move around, trying not to think about how his body used to be Zamasu's, and admittedly, assumed Zomu was far more interested in showing off than he was actually fighting. After all, he did seem to be amusing himself as he would move all around his sparring partner as if he didn't have a care in the world.

It would soon to be revealed to be a foolish move in retrospect, for a firm punch to the stomach would serve as a reminder not to make assumptions until after the fight as done. Some wind would be knocked out of him, but he would be far from done; wrapping his hands around the kai's fist before it could be pulled back, the half saiyan would start to spin the two of them around, making a couple of rotations before he'd suddenly release his grip, sending the other flying away.

"I am human now I can't fly. I am mortal and alive. If I were Ghost King I would easily just teleport or dispel into hundreds of silver wrath butterflies and follow. But like this? I can't fly or learn to fly even if I wanted to" He replied crossing his arms over his chest with small frown on his face.

"How do you plan to carry me anyway? I am not as small or light as you think" Hewas also a bit amused listening to Zomu.

"Now you're talkin' my language! Alright!" Zomu smiled enthusiastically before stopping. How could he completely forget to ask before agreeing to head out? He was just as short-sighted as he was as a Saiyan.

"Wait, do you know how to fly? I can carry you if you don't, I don't think I have the time to train you right now. Unless you want to learn. Gohan said Videl learned in a few months, but I don't know if you're willing to be that patient." Zomu rubbed his arms and blushed from embarrassment at his own naivete.

"What is a Kai doing on my planet? Here to cause more trouble for that Kibito Kai? I'll tell you now....it wont end the way you want it to...."

I deleted my Twitter. Elon just went too far with his new policies, especially with privacy and letting racists run wild on the website.

So I'll probably be writing my HCs for media that I like or some of my other things like my sketches. I hope you're ok with that.

Mai had her rifle trained on the familiar form of the green colored Kai. The form of one that had caused so much pain, misery, and death. Zamasu. She was reluctant to just shoot, though. Was it fear? Trauma? Or was it that something... just didn't feel right? "Hands were I can see them, Zamasu!" She hissed his name as if it were poison that threatened to invade her very being simple by utterance alone.

“The desert around South City, huh?” He pauses, finger on his chin in thought, before giving a big grin in response. “Yeah! That would be perfect! Let’s go before Chi-Chi catches me slacking off.”

He chuckles a little ‘cause he know his wife won’t really mind at the end of the day, especially when he explains who he met out here. Taking off into the sky and heading toward their new destination, feeling the wind hitting his face and brushing back his hair, Goku looks over at the green Kai who is way more familiar than he should be. Maybe he should have paid more attention to introductions and not been so quick to ask for a spar.

He would have to get better about that...

“Hey quick question. Sorry for forgetting something so important, but, uh, what did you say your name was again?”

He was his old school orange gi today, it was a good balance between casual and formal to mark the occasion.

"Right, it just might be."

Even before he had encountered Zomu as he was now, even before he had encountered Zamasu for the first time, Trunks had long known of Goku's enthusiasm to fight. It run in Saiyan blood as he was told, nothing really got the blood bumping and the adrenaline coursing that a good old fashioned brawl, even a spar like this was noted to be exciting to him. Goku probably embodied that notion the best out of anyone he knew, his personality loving clashing between himself and the opponent so much that it could no longer be blamed on genetics.

No, this was what Goku was about, it was always want he enjoyed. No, no, that wasn't his name anymore. Trunks had gotten in the habit of thinking of him as Goku, but it wasn't truly respectful to a man the younger saiyan had now learned to properly trust, was it? This was Zomu, a man with a different past and a far different future than what Trunks had come to expect. He needed to keep that mentality about him, it would take practice and time, but he would do the very least by at least thinking of him as his own person.

"I'm curious what you've got in store for me, Zomu."

His voice would raise up in pitch as he spoke once more, his body looser, his eyes full of life. This was not the man who once struggled to not judge a book by its cover, this was a man who wanted to push forward, and it that meant sparring with Zomu, so be it. His legs would stand shoulder width apart, and his hands would raise to be in a defensive position. A rarity for Trunks, he would let the kai have the first move.

"That sounds like a great idea, I'm sure Piccolo and Pan would like that too!" Gohan agreed, especially getting Pan involved. "I'd ask him but I'm sure with his hearing, he's probably over us haha."

"I think I wanna spar with Piccolo 'n see who's the strongest green grandpa!" Zomu grinned and stretched his legs. "Pan can judge!"

Zomu's thoughts on Zamasu is that he's a coward whose jealousy and insecurity got the best of him. While he understands the frustration of the older kais not lifting a finger to intervene in mortal conflicts, their approaches to handling it is opposite of each other. Zomu tries to help his mortal subjects as best as he can, overthrowing dictators, helping generate food, healing the sick, having Whis resurrect dead loved ones. Zomu doesn't understand why Zamasu couldn't do the same.

"You think you're doing mortals a great favor, do you?

It disgusts me to imagine your mortal mind in my perfect and divine body, and to see you wasting your station this way is utterly pathetic. Only a mortal would come to the conclusions you have-

I am a jealous God. I am the only God. No other god may hold a candle to my divine work, and you--- you, who dared lay your hands on the body of God- disgust me!

When I inhabited your body it was a sacrifice I made to further my ambition. When you inhabited mine, you were dirtying it, which is why you were to be killed.

I have parted with my own self, traded places with a sinner, and now to watch you boast about your uselessness as one of us- it makes me want to carve your face from your skull.
