🥺 - Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

Romantically, I enjoy writing the small moments between two people in love. Dialogue is my biggest writing strength, and with my Owl House fics I've enjoyed writing Luz and Amity's back and forth banter the most. I also really like writing forehead kisses. They're great

Platonically/in general, I'm always gonna be a sucker for two characters having a deep/late night conversation where they're raw and honest and learn new things about each other. I feel like I should really write more action and fighting LU fics but I just love making the boys sit down and talk about themselves. So far I've written 2 LU fics about dealing with grief, and 2 about exploring your gender, so I suppose those are common interactions I like exploring too.

🤡 - What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

This is from SWSHBTS. The context is that the squad are cooking Luz's favourite meal for her, and Luz has just found out they are. This is pretty late into the fic, like chapter ten.

Then, Luz pushes back Amity’s hair and gently kisses Amity’s forehead, and she feels more than a few of her inner processes shutting down. “Thank you,” Luz whispers.

“It wasn’t all me,” Amity replies bashfully. “Gus and Hunter helped too.”

“Do you want me to give them forehead kisses as well?” Luz asks, with scepticism in her voice.

“What? No!” 

“Then let me compliment my pretty girlfriend in peace,” Luz replies, before placing another kiss on Amity’s head, this time with more gusto.

“Stop distracting our workers,” Hunter tells her.

“Alright, alright, jeez!” Luz complains, releasing Amity from her hug. “Running the Noceda kitchen like the damn Navy,” she mutters under her breath, and Camila laughs again.

This was the first funny moment that sprung to mind, I have some good ones in my LU fics, but for SWSHBTS specifically, this is probably the only straight up humourous moment in the entire thing. Don't worry, I'm making good on my promise of fluff amidst the angst, I swear, but humour is different to fluff.

🛒 - What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

I'm a right slag for golden/sun imagery. It's gonna become a big recurring motif in SWSHBTS. I also used it in my first ever fic, A Celebration of You, but I haven't reread that one in a while so I can't remember how hard I went on it.

As I said before most my fics are just two characters talking. Normally in nature so I can get some lovely nature imagery in too. Thematically, my fics and ideas are quite often sprung from canon, and imagining what happens between canon events. I also really like exploring LGBTQ themes and identities in my fics, cause, *points at myself*. I don't wanna spoil too much about SWSHBTS, but dealing with trauma and healthy communication are its biggest themes.
