dude i have to relax i will NOT be able to handle 18 classes this semester

#58 credits........#i must not sign up for more classes signing up for more classes is the myself killer.#NONE OF THE ELECTIVES HAVE ESSAYS OR ORAL PRESENTATIONS THOUGH!!!!!!#or at least the syllabus doesnt say anything abt them which in my experience still doesnt rule them out but it gives me at least some hope #im sooooooo fucking excited for gender in pop culture & the marxism class......#my friends & i r also planning to take intro to portuguese history w a native portuguese prof which is pretty cool #mp

god i really forgot that every business management professor specifically is the most unpleasant human being alive for no good reason. i have two business classes with like econ and accounting professors respectively and those look fine and then oh my god if i have to go back to this class with this professor i think i might actually kill myself

#red rambles #she's not. *mean*. she is. um. fucking. i think condescendiing is the word #she made us do a kahoot in class on questions we didn't know explicitly because she knew we didn't know them. i hate kahoots #she went through the syllabus like we were children which. fine whatever every professor does that it's why i hate the first class #but she also kept going off topic to give us life advice. never give me life advice ill fucking kill you #im really not sure what else was my fucking problem but i genuinely felt like i was being psychologically tortured #also i have done one of the several assignments for the class already and they're babyshit but its going to be one of my most #busywork heavy classes and she wants us doing discussion questions every fucking week #and i have to download yet another fucking app for her class #and i need it for my degree plan but oh my GOD. i need to get the fuck out of it #im gonna try and find a different session of the class taught by a different professor and switch in #do you know how much i have to hate a class if im willing to eat two entire finished homework assignments to get out of it #eta. i take it with this professor or i take it with a different professor i know and already know i cant stand #who is also going to work us like dogs unlike this prof who is going to apparently treat us like we are 14 years old #i guess its not college if i'm not being forced to experience psychological torment for an hour and a half every couple days lol #ill just have to like eat something before that class and do my best to fortify myself before i go in and turn evil

im doing a dc call with my gc next week to give them the same experience i had for my dc dive and i. am actually so nervous LOL

i’ve retold flashpoint paradox AT LEAST 4 different times in its entirety, this should be second nature to me, but smth abt it feels like a final boss. like this is gonna be most of their first “official” impression and i need to do my superblorbs justice.

#this is so serious i’m making a syllabus and everything #my plan is starting with JLwar so they can get a general feel for the characters as a whole #and then go down specific routes as they comes up naturally #ik it’s not chronological but i’m trying to curate this experience for Them (especially as mostly non-superhero fans)#i love storytelling so much you guys know this i literally spent 11+ hrs retelling YJ #but it’s always been one-on-one… an entire audience is just… whew this will be my greatest feat yet #dc #danbles #you also might be asking ‘danny why don’t they just watch the movies on their own?’ and to that i say #bc they are my friends and they love indulging me ō__ō #and yk. dc has a rly intimidating barrier to entry #and i wanna make their introductions feel special and specific to them #also bc my version will obviously be thru my own perspective so i’ll be able to provide context for both the comics and my own posts/art #this is so exciting gah we’ve been planning this for months

Looking at class syllabi so I can come up w an outline for my personal studies lol

#I did the same with bio I failed it 2 years in a row bc I never showed up so when I dropped out in grade 11 I wrote a textbook of the #syllabus. I passed with flying colours lol #sure I could take a real class but this is for fun lol #I don’t have an objective with note taking and stuff so I figure finding a class with a lecture plan I like is a good place to start

I miss writing fan fiction

#it’s been like 6 months #I’m just so busy #and I find writing slow and like it uses up a lot of mental energy #so when I’m so busy with writing for school and my internship I have zero energy for fun writing #hopefully next semester I have the time and energy #and I thought about trying to write over break but I need to make a new syllabus and plan the class I’m teaching #and really I only have like a week more home

every year i’m in college i learn more & more that most of the time, trying to use my accommodations is just a drain on my time & energy than anything. it’s almost never worth it

#so much dealing with red tape sending emails and planning ahead for what?#our professor rescheduled the exam to the day i have to give a presentation in another class #after i literally chose that presentation date around when the midterm for his class was gonna be based on what the syllabus said #and now he expects me to do alternate testing on the exact same day which for me would be after 2 back to back classes that end at 4 pm #i hate the class anyway & it’s general education so ig i’m just gonna take the l #midnight chatters

talking about men i have questionable relationships with, some dude at the hang out described the one TA I have a bit of a flirt going on with as "the worst prof I've ever had" and I didn't say anything but I was standing there like ok but you're smaller, uglier and less charismatic than him so why are you talking shit???

1 week at new job and i want to kms

#the other foreign teachers are not great teachers #i dont have enought time in the semester to teach all the content #but im expected to test them on the content several time #i have to work until 6-7pm then it takes me half an hour to get home on bus #and my classroom is dirty af #and i had to make a syllabus for the whole semester of my week to week planned activities #and should submit lesson plans every Wednesday #binch i dont even knkw what im having to dinner why am i planning december classes #and ive spent hours editing the shit workbooks previously made for the reading class #because the content will be too difficult for students #and my back hurts from sitting there editing #and i have to chose lunch every day #i feel so tired every evening and i havent even started classes yet

i still think about how last summer, the only thing that kept me pushing as my aunt was in hospice and through the grief of her passing was my summer class with one of the best professors I’ve ever had. It was a French 300 class and it was the best class of any class, English or french, that I’ve ever had. The way my professor taught made me rethink what it was to be a teacher. He made it seem so effortless and made it a safe space to really learn and be as inquisitive as you wanted to be. It was such a shining light for me as I came face to face with the fact that I would be losing my aunt soon. I still think back on that time and feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have had that time and space to look forward to on a daily basis for three weeks that summer. Thinking about how one of the last few conversations I had with my aunt was her asking me what I was going to school for and feeling so seen/heard when she repeated my answer back to me: “You want to be a teacher!” I do. I do. I do.

#idk why I’m writing about this but I miss school lol #I miss my classmates and my professor #I’m yearning for a well-planned syllabus LOL
