Thinking about how kpop companies train their idols to all speak in a Seoul accent in Seoul dialect irregardless of where in Korea they’re from and how they have speech aspects such as lisps trained out of them as well-

I really am a whore for unconventional storylines and the untamed really does deliver on so many levels. The opening scene shows the main character dying with a voice over about what a horrible person he is.

 The first 3 episodes are bizarre and confusing but intriguing and captivating. You watch them again while watching the show and every time they hold a new meaning. Half the show happens in a flashback. The main character is in many ways an antagonist. The show explores the boundary between good and bad in a way that a lot is stories have tried to but few have done successfully. The 2 Male leads are supposed opposites - foils to eachother in many ways.

 And yet the man who is seen as embodying darkness and the man seen as embodying good are more alike than made out to be. The character and world building is so rich and detailed. i mean the cinnamontopography woah 

The imagery, the contrasts, dramatic irony, foreshadowing... these core narrative facets are handled so well in this show. You think that good is coming and then it’s pulled out from under your feet and you realise that the human race is fundamentally flawed and that power corrupts all. it’s just. Chefs kiss honestly I have no words.
