Why do people think current Alex is creepy?

Is it the Alex and Louise taking too much style inspo from Gainsbourg and Birkin or something he's been doing onstage?

I've only seen clips from the recent Australia/South America shows but he seemed normal or better than usual in the Europe ones and interviews...

Side note: there are some EYCTE shows that I can't watch more than once. Like Sziget when he sits down all of a sudden and you can see Zach and Miles are worried about him, he's so obviously fucked up. Like come on, I miss cheeky Alex too, but if he's ok I don't care if he sings slowly and stands in one spot all the time you know? (Plus I can watch 2016 T in the Park whenever I want 😝)
