1. Suspicious Partner - Eun Bong-hee & Noh Ji-wook

The sexy sarcastic prosecutor and funny cute lawyer fighting crimes together. Sounds like perfect drama and it really is, especially for me as a law student.  The chemistry between main characters is something out of this world. They're making you laugh, they're making you cry, they're making you scream and they're making you feel fucking lonely but who cares. Who needs boyfriend when you have kdramas, right? No one will ever be as perfect as Ji Chang-wook anyway.

2. My strange hero - Son Soo-jung & Kang Bok-soo

What I love about this couple is how amazing they had grew up. When they were teens they’ve been lost and scared but as an adults they learnt how to talk to each other and support each other. Their break up (it's kdrama so break up is a must have) was reasonable and right. We stan mature and healthy relationships in this household.

Also they're cute af.

3. Fight for my way - Choi Ae-ra & Ko Dong-man

I love love love them! Is there anything better than funny and adorable couple of friends finding out they're in love? I don't think so. And I adore how they shown intimacy of a couple, which is great bc most of dramas end up at just few kisses (or not even that - i'm looking at u School 2017!).

And huge applause for famous aegyo scenes. I can’t describe how much they make my days better. 

4. My first first love - Han Song-yi & Tae-oh

Another friends-to-lovers drama. 

I was little bit sad for Seo Do-hyun because all in all he was great guy and good character. But well, sorry boy, you can’t win with soulmates. Han Song-yi and Tae-oh were destined to be together and to made me install tinder. I just want love like theirs.

5. Weightlifting fairy Kim Bok-joo - Kim Bok-joo &  Jung Joon-hyung

I love this drama and I love them. Jung Joon-hyung is a perfect main lead and my dream boyfriend, I swear. He has so many patience and respect for Kim Bok-joo and what’s even more important: HE’S SO NICE. I’m done with cocky and arrogant dicks as a main characters. It’s time for new non-fuckboys era and I’m here for it. 

6. Strong Woman Do Bong Son - Do Bong-son & Ahn Min-hyuk 

I love how kdramas shows us strong and independant women, who are still feminin and cute. And Ahn Min-hyuk is another one of this nice, supporting, cute guys so of course i have to love him. The only thing that botter me in this drama and relationship is In Gook-doo. He deserved so much better. But well, I volunteer to comfort him and then everyone will be happy! Most of all me. 

Also Ahn Min-huyk is so extra I can’t! 

7. The K2 - Kim Je-ha & Choi Yoo-jin

Okay, so I know this one might be a little bit controversial. It's the only non-endgame couple on the list and I know K2 end up with Anna. BUT! C'mon the chemistry between Je-ha and Yoo-jin killed me every time they had a scene together. The fire was there! And i think the show would be so much better if the writers decide to explore their relationship instead of Je-ha and Anna. It will forever remain a big great "what if" of my life.

8. Healer -  Chae Young-shin & Seo Jung-hoo

Yup, another Ji Chang-wook kdrama on the list, but c’mon. Can you blame me? He’s so pretty I wanna cry. And Healer was the drama that made most of us fall in love with him. It’s classic. I wasn’t satisfied with the ending but Chae Young-shin and Seo Jung-hoo are so adorable that they kinda makes up for it.  

9. Descendants of the sun - Kang Mo-yeon & Yoo Shi-jin

Let me just tell u that Shi-jin is my favorite male lead in kdramas ever. I just love him so much. He's cute and sassy and caring and i can literally go on for a whole day. I LOVE HIM. And dr Kang is such a great female lead: she's strong and fierce but feminin and goofy. They're perfect for each other, so funny and cute. I guess if i had to choose just one favorite ship that one would probably be it.

10. Goblin - Ji Eun-tak & Kim-shin

They broke my heart. I still can’t talk about them bc it hurts too much. They’re amazing, that’s all, trust me. They’re...no, no. Sorry, I can’t. I have to go grab a tissue. I’ll be right back.

11. I'm not a robot - Jo Ji-ah & Kim Min-kyu

That was a wild ride! I think it’s the fluffiest kdrama I’ve ever watched. They went from enemies to robot and robot owner and than to robot and robot lover and than to humans and than to lovers. Great show, I swear. 

Plus Yoo Seung-Ho is the most adorable human being ever. 

12. School 2017 -  Ra Eun-ho &  Hyun Tae-woon

Ugh, young love. Innocent and cute. So innocent we didn’t get a kiss and I’m still salty about it. But idc, all in all they’re great and Re Eun-Ho’s aegyo is one of the best thing that ever happened to me.

School 2017, ep 16 (Finale)

Tae Woon & Eun Ho

They were practically perfect. I’m going to miss them so much.  My favourite friends to couple since Bok Joo and Joon Hyung.

Tae Woon and Eun Ho stood by each other 100%.  When Tae Woon revealed he was X, Eun Ho walked right to his side and declared herself his accomplice.  She took his hand in front of everyone, which up until this point she’d been reluctant to do.  After that, it was easy take his hand.

I’m still not overly thrilled at Tae Woon lying to Eun Ho, but she knew he was. She knew what he was trying to sacrifice for her. Eun Ho was also not quite as honest - she was totally not okay.  In the end, they had a couple of bumpy patches but they worked them out.  She knew he had to figure things out, and so she’ll wait for him.  She had to show the same kind of support that he had for her. She wants him to decide what he wants and not just some kind of sacrifice for her. 

It makes sense that he chose to be with his dad.  They have only each other.  And, I think, since his dad was trying he had to try too. But you know what? That did not stop Eun Ho and Tae Woon. They were determined to make it work, the long distance thing. It’s only a year.  Eun Ho is trying to get over her bus trauma and Tae Woon is right beside her to make sure she is okay.  He’s proud of her success with her webtoon; she’s pushing and supporting his dream of designing motorcycles.

I love that they just have fun with each other. They tease and they play.  The bit with the shirt was great; she got him to be cute.  And the end part with Eun Ho and the girls killed me.  THIS GIRL PERSON. Over the top cuteness and then after, WANT TO DIE?

I loved them so much. I’ll be forever a little sad that they never actually kissed though.  It would have been nice.

Tae Woon and his dad

I think that Tae Woon, more than anything, needed his dad to listen to him.  I was proud that he went to the police with his evidence. It was so hard for him but he knew he needed to do it. I’m also proud that he was honest with Soo Ji and that he was not okay.

I’m a bit surprised that there was no other evidence, but what Soo Ji said clearly had an impact on his dad.  He finally asked what Tae Woon wanted.  It makes me wonder what his dad was like before his mom died.

Like I said, it made sense that he went with his dad in the end.  And I’m pleased to see that they are like a family again.  I’m also happy that his dad has accepted Eun Ho in Tae Woon’s life.

Though I don’t understand what his dad did that he could confess and not got to jail?? And he could buy another school after the mess that school was??? I guess I don’t really understand Korean schools or legal system. Or they just kept it deliberately vague.

Bo Ra, Sa Rang, Dae Hwi and everyone else (except the terrible 4 because they deserve NOTHING)

I wish that had a bit more on them but I guess there wasn’t time.

I am also super happy that the Grim Reaper (I’M SO SORRY I DON’T KNOW YOUR NAME) became the principal.  He really was the best teacher there (excluding first episode where he talked down to Eun Ho).

Honestly, I wasn’t going to watch this at first and I can’t remember why I decided to but I am so glad I did.  LOVED it, though admittedly some of the school stuff was ridiculous.

Updates on drama watching! I’m talking about Father is Strange, The Best Hit, School 2017, and One More Happy Ending.

Father is Strange 48:

Things seem to be wrapping up nicely with the exception of Mom Young-shil’s illness! I really hope they don’t kill her.

Mi Young and Joong Hee!!!!! I’m trying to think of something coherent but all I’m getting is  !!!

Hye Young is my favorite forever and ever.

The Best Hit:

I LOVED IT. 

TBH, the timeline stuff doesn’t make sense, if he’s the Hyun Jae from 93 then how does the one from 94 exist??? But I don’t care because I loved all the characters, the otp, and the ost. 

Totally worth a watch! ddabong!!

School 2017 1-10:

I don’t think I’ve ever fallen in love faster. The heroine, Eun Ho, had me from the start. I thought Tae Woon was going to be one of those tsundere heroes BUT NOPE. He’s a freaking swoonworthy dork. 

Dae Hwi is not the second lead because there is not a love triangle (thank you drama gods) but he does have his own story to tell and I hope he continues to be brave and make the tough choices.

Also their classmates!! I like how none of them feel 2 dimensional. Like we don’t just have ‘top student who’s a jerk’ no we have ‘top student who is jerk and also has an anger problem with a snobby mother’. Sa Rang is great. Guitar Guy who’s name I’ve forgotten. BO RA, I’m so proud of her.

Also Eun Ho’s family. LOVE THEM.

TEACHER SHIM. The earnest best teacher ever. 

This whole show is about how they’re just eighteen!!! Old enough to be responsible for their actions but young enough to change! 

One More Happy Ending 1-2:

First impressions! Cute! It seems like it’ll be a good one, I just haven’t had time to watch much of it.

School 2017 Episode 16 (Finale)

Bittersweet justice. The school is starting over with a new Principal in Teacher Gu! and a new educational philosophy that won’t let the system destroy the students. Now the Teachers can help everyone try to achieve their goals or find a dream. This is an ideal scenario, although I’m sure Hee-chan is still out there doing his thing. Whatever, he doesn’t deserve any of our time.

I say it’s a bittersweet justice because with Dad admitting to all charges of corruption and buying a new school in the countryside, it meant that Tae-woon had to move away for his senior year instead of ending high school with his friends. I’m proud of him, I think he made the right decision by going with his father -even when he could have stayed- but he choose to rebuild his relationship with the only family member he has left. A mature and sensible decision that shows who Tae-woon truly is and why he won all of us over. It wasn’t only his assertive, swoony actions and constant will to growth but also his sincere heart that made him the perfect leading man.

At first I wanted for Eun-ho and Tae-woon to finish school together, but when I gave it some more thought I decided this was the perfect move for the show. In my eyes these two are the real thing, so there’s really no need to keep them in high school when they are already dealing with the “real world” together. Beyond their school years, Tae-woon and Eun-ho will always find a way to make things work between them because they share a tacit understanding of each other as friends and lovers, who have fun and support their individual dreams as much as their desire to be together. Watching this relationship develop was a real pleasure and I couldn’t be more happy to have found a show that portrayed such a healthy and mature relationship.

I love how the show kept Eun-ho true to herself through all the episodes but at the same time gave her enough space to growth as a person, to let her come on hew own. So when the time came to make a choice, she knew what the right thing to do was for her and those she loves. Going back to school was the right choice for her, that’s where she was most happy and wanted to spend her time, learn and keep on growing. But she also understands that just because it’s the right choice for her, it doesn’t necessarily means it’s the right one for everyone which is why she told Tae-woon, this time, she was the one giving to him.

It’s funny how Joon-ki’s words about Tae-woon being the one who gives because he has more than everyone, came back in the final episode. It’s true that Tae-woon has always been giving to others in his own way, so I’m glad Eun-ho choose to step up and declare herself as the one who would give and protect Tae-woon now and in the future. She has great stamina too.

Dae-hwi remains the MVP of this show. I have always loved how School 2017 had no problems portraying a good natured friendship between Dae-hwi and Eun-ho, and today that returned into the picture with him actively trying to help her find a solution. I like that he used his own experience of bottling problems up, that he knew the best and first solution for her and Tae-woon was to advice they have a honest talk about their feelings.

I like even more that he took his own advice and finally made some progress with Nam-joo. By proudly walking next to her and defending her, he gave her the strength to stand up for herself and confront her own mistakes. That final scene between them was cute AF and I only wish we could have seen more.

It was a nice touch from the show to not give the rest of the characters dreams set in stone, like for example we don’t know what Sarang wants to do in the future but we do know she’s thinking about it. Same goes for Bora, Kyung-woo and Issue. I like that they have their options open to become whatever or whoever they want because at 18 that’s exactly how it should be. You should be full of expectation of the good things life can give you, and considering how tough these kids had it until now, I say it’s a welcome change for them.

What about Teacher Shim? He made a real difference in the kids’ lives and won over the girl, much to Teacher Jung’s disappointment. Poor guy has to keep seeing them together now that Officer Han is staying at the school. Pffft!

Overall, School 2017 was a perfect show that delivered everything I was expecting from it and more, for it kept surprising me every week with its depth and mature views. For that and so many other things, I wouldn’t change one single thing about it. Okay, fine, one thing: a kiss!
