I was wrong. I still have much to atone for, and a long road to fulfilling my creator's design. It used to bother me, but, no longer.

Hold on Amy! There's been some confusion! I assumed they were a couple considering how they were acting together - hugs, grooming, Sonic staring at Shadows butt pretty blatantly and Shadow didn't hit him - but if they're not then I should apologize to you and them for making things uncomfortable.

But seriously, if they're not a couple then they're so hard in denial it's kind of worrying. They're literally holding each other and calling each other pet names, how aren't they a couple?

They are rather... dense, those two...

It isn't you're fault, theaussieblue... Of course if you saw them acting all touchy and sweet you'd assume they're a couple- everyone assumes it 'cause they ARE! They just won't say it-

Sonic is... extremely afraid of labeling... anything. Like ever. Like if he calls it what it is, it's all gonna suddenly blow up in his face, or something. Meanwhile, all it would actually do is give Shadow a little peace of mind for once, since he likes labels because they're useful and don't leave so much room open for misinterpretation. Ugh... they're both such... boys.

They're always touchier with each other when they're alone, and I bet I know exactly the petname you're talking about- Sunshine, right? Sonic slipped up and called Shadow that at our Friendsgiving last year. It was so cute but I thought Shadow was gonna kill him, if Sonic didn't beat him to it-

It won't, though, is the problem- trust me, I've known them both long enough; they need a push. Sonic is paralyzed by stuff like this, and Shadow's so scared of losing whatever he's got he won't dare rock the boat. Hey... maybe the Rifts can help us...? The sky-mail, it's like we've got an eye on the inside-!

...This could go horribly wrong.

Or wonderfully right! I just... I want them to be happy, you know? I want them to have the same kind of happiness we have...

@insert-skill-here YEEEESS that, Tails being the verge of supervillain at all times only for Sonic to be the voice of "hey you're at an 11 bring it back to an 7" is def a character dynamic I love to see for them.

Also @theaussieblue thank you for the examples. Tails is basically a rated MA for violence character stuck in a PG-13 world (him, Shadow and Eggman really lol all them said these hands are E for everyone)

Tails is just such a sneaky little guy that here with one goal and one goal only and that is to to be a PROBLEM to whoever he doesn't like. Especially when he's on his own and not following behind Sonic's flashy entrances. He doesn't care to be fair, he has a target and he knows he needs to take them down. Heck he did the same thing with Kit in the comics and basically betraying him (with a fairly good reason but he still did that) in order to take him out.

And I do think Tails is considered smarter than Eggman and Eggman somewhat knows it, he sort of a little admitted it in Frontiers that he recognizes how smart Tails is.

And I mean he can keep up with and override Eggman's stuff at 8 years old imagine how quickly he's gonna outpace Eggman. Kid ain't even in the double digits yet and already figuratively and literally running circles around the guy. Heck he almost had a cure for the zombot invasion that Eggman couldn't figure out. He also made a fake working chaos emerald long before Eggman gave it a shot, and even then Tails' was more stable then what Eggman came up with. (I am behind on the IDW comics though, that's just the arc I was in the middle of reading last)

But also I love Shadow and Tails bonding stuff, they just would get along so well in canon if they let them.

I've said it once and I'll say it a million more times but I would love to see Tails just go absolute Predator mode on what ever villains they go up against.

It's just he's got all the skills displayed in so many different games, comics, shows, etc. that just when combined Tails should be the biggest issue for anyone they go up against.

Forces had to nerf him back into a scared child cause if they let him actually be in character Eggman would have been dead by the end of the week.

Heck I love Whisper but I have a headcanon that Tails is just as good a sniper as her but instead uses a blaster since he's usually more close combat. And it's not even really a headcanon we've seen Tail be able to calculate trajectories flawlessly multiple times, you think he couldn't do the same with a sniper??

I just want a Tails that drops all the fun and games and kindness he has for one second and he basically becomes the abyss that stares back to their villains. And they all just have that collective moment of "oh we don't piss off that one ever cause we will die"

I want one man army Tails that neither gods nor demons could stop when he puts his mind to absolutely destroying someone

Hey, Sonic, did you end up selling your appearance? Because I've been playing a lot of games based on you. Like... twelve so far.

Video games of our adventures sound amazing; but, at least from what I've gathered here so far, I think you guys must be in some alternative universe where our lives - us Mobians, I mean - are just... well, games. I'm still wrapping my head around it. Not the multiverse thing, that I kinda already came to terms with a long, long time ago. RIP King Arthur...

But I'd totally play a game based on our greatest hits, for sure.

I don't know...

Maybe not... all of it. I can think a few periods I'd probably have to skip. But hey, their our memories, right? Good or bad, their what made us what we are.

... Amnesia and false implanted memories not withstanding; some of us became who we are inspite of those things.

It suddenly seems that the Sonic we know may not be the same Sonic we're seeing.

Sonic - the Werehog we knew could talk, but it seems that the Werehog you transformed into couldn't. Also, we were not aware that you and Tails were often hungry in your youth.

Things are getting VERY interesting...

Wonder what else is different... You guys said you know about all of us through some kinda video games, right? Maybe they were just... simplified? I mean, game about some starving kids probably won't sell great, unless your world's even more messed up than Mobius.

I've been to a couple of different places, different.. universes. Places were people wore familiar faces but everything was just to the left- like I've said before, I never met their version of me in the those places, except I guess technically Camelot if you wanna count the Old King but...

I guess it makes sense there are other me's out there, too. I mean, Shads has that whole Tokyo incident, where he... ugh, what word does he love to use cause it's creepy? Possessed? One of his... variant, I guess. Said it felt if someone had swapped your gloves for an identical pair; all the familiar wear spots gone, but, still... your gloves. Still you.

Fuck, this is getting complicated... I think I've almost got this engine going, and those patches had numbed my knees pretty good. Hope Shadow's having luck at the coordinate site- maybe we can get good intel and get the hell back home, try to get some damn straight answers about what's going on around here...
