A day in the life of the ocs as they celebrate the lunar new year!

I always imagine that since Alexei, Peyton, Marie, Jamie, and Taka are neighbors, they celebrate a lot of holidays together. Kind of thinking back to my own childhood as when I was growing up I celebrated lunar new year with several neighbors who were either Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Laotian, Cambodian, etc and we’d have just a potluck of several different foods.

So I see them celebrating with Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Indian food. It’s a big event and there’s leftovers for days.

- Taka totally names his dog Inuyasha, yes. He’s a kid when he gets his dog and his favorite anime at the time was Inuyasha. It sticks and Yuriko rolls her eyes but goes with it.

- The best part of Lunar New Year is the amount of food they get to eat.

- Grandma Li gives the best red envelopes out and the kids quickly hide them away before their parents can see (the struggle is real okay).

- Peyton totally names her dog Champion and Champion is Toto’s mom.

- Alexei’s biggest struggle is finding the vegetarian dumplings.

- Every year, Alexei and Taka try to perform their own version of the Lion Dance. It’s not a good performance but it is hilarious and since it’s tradition, it happens every year.

- Jamie loves getting to make eggrolls with her mom.

- Peyton and Marie love making dumplings with their dad and grandma.

Yuriko's favorite alcholic drinks are sake and plum wines. Doesn't matter what kind but she loves them. She loves the fancy expensive plum wines but won't spend more than eight dollars herself. So Yuri buys her the fancy stuff on ocassion.
