“You’re very loud,” she says, not looking over at him. He hasn’t said anything yet. “But maybe that’s because you’re so close.”

She stops in her work now to look up at Shino. Tilts her head. “Kind of weird they’re all inside you, but I guess I’ve seen weirder.”

Karin stands up from her seat, grabbing a stack of papers she’s just finished working on. Paperwork seems to be her means to amnesty with Konoha. Obscene amounts of paperwork.

“I’m busy, though. Better talk if you need something.”

"I'm not sure. Haven't been able to find it. I thought following the insects would help me, but it appears they're attracted to things they like. In any case, I'm fairly certain I haven't possessed anyone. Or maybe I'm in a coma. Or maybe I'm an illusion and I've become your inner voice of reason." Why did the ideas get worse as they went on?

“Well, that explains why you’re haunting me. There isn’t a spirit on earth who isn’t attracted to me, after all.” We will not discuss Sasuke and Neji’s blindness here.

“Shino, you can’t be my voice of reason because the guy inside my head is conveniently shirtless.”

He resembled a buff Genma, but Ino would never admit that out loud.

“Did anyone ever tell you that you can be really scary?” It’s not really an insult, or at least not entirely. Being scary can be a lifesaver in their career.

Casually wraps her in his coat to protect her from all the nonsense.

"Thank you, Shino-kun." She says with a soft smile. "I'm very grateful to have you here. At least I know I can always count on you."

  Sakura was sure in her abilities that she wouldn’t make any mistakes ( yet ). Besides, if she DID make a mistake, her mentor was sure to take her to the grave herself. If she had to choose from between the two choices, she would much rather die from exhaustion.

Don't mind Shino. He's a ghost. Floating around. Haunting her weapon shop. Hard to figure out if there was so little business that it killed him, or if he's just sorta floating around judging people from beyond the grave.

Tenten grimaced. Her eyes were wide in terror. “Shino, you’re a g-g-ghost!”

"I don't think that would help. I'm trapped on this mortal plane forever probably. So here I am. Haunting a flower shop. Because my ghost bugs want to be around them. Guess I live here now." That's probably not good for business.

This was not the reaction he imagined. "I died." Obviously. "Don't worry, it'll probably reverse itself. I only showed up to prove to Hinata that no one else would worry too much about my sudden and unexplainable death."

“Shino why the HELL would you do that to her.....”

Oh dear...She would have to visit Hinata and make sure shes okay. Or well...make sure she doesnt do anything stupid. Ino knew even without seeing Hinata that she was most certainly NOT okay.

A creeping panic was already bubbling in Inos own chest. Flickers of memories long buried trying to come to the surface. Asuma....Her father.

No. No she wouldn’t think of that right now.
