Happy Halloween 🎃 !!! No mushroom reminds me more of Halloween than chicken of the woods!🍄🐶 🍂🍯 🍁 I dusted off my Winnie the pooh costume cause who doesn’t need more tao of pooh in their life. I think the whole world could benefit from sitting in a tree and eating honey! We we were blessed with a magical day! blue full moon making it even more of a powerful time where the veil is the thinnest between the living in the dead! I invite you to take some time to go within and connect with your ancestors! I spent some time honoring the spirit of my grandfather using a hoe that he used to garden and gave thanks by saying goodbye to my plants who died in the frost. Then I planted some alliums and wildflower seeds to make way for new life in the spring. Reishi was a great helper and we love looking up at our freshly painted house while we got our hands into the soil. Today's #bookshelfbucketlist pick, #zenandtheartofmotorcyclemaintenance has been on my list for quite some time. So long, in fact, that I recently discovered I have unwittingly bought it three times over the years. Art and Zen follows a father and his son on "summer motorcycle trip across America's Northwest". Penned by American philosopher and writer #RobertmPirsig as "An inquiry into values"  Art and Zen is a deceptively complex story, using the simple premise as a vehicle a deeper look at life. Considering my affinity for reading similar concept books in the past like #LifeofPi, and #TaoOfPooh, The Art and Zen of Motorcycle Maintainance remains high on my bucket list! One of my favorite stories from Tao of Pooh. ---The Vinegar Tasters--- From Wikipedia--> The three men are dipping their fingers in a vat of vinegar and tasting it; one man reacts with a sour expression, one reacts with a bitter expression, and one reacts with a sweet expression. The three men are Confucius, Buddha, and Lao-Tzu, respectively. Each man's expression represents the predominant attitude of his philosophy: Confucianism saw life as sour, in need of rules to correct the degeneration of people; Buddhism saw life as bitter, dominated by pain and suffering; and Taoism saw life as fundamentally good in its natural state. Positive Mental Attitude can shift everything in a matter of seconds. What is your self talk like?
