Riddle era headcanons
Walburga, like her son Sirius, was very rebellious in her youth. Wally’s parents had difficulty suppressing her recalcitrant tendencies and it only got worse once she got to Hogwarts. 100% bullied Muggleborns, probably even tried to hex Tom maybe once or twice before he earned his reputation.
Orion Black and Abraxas Malfoy were the first of Tom Riddle’s peers that he befriended during his first year at Hogwarts. In spite of this, Malfoy was the only one out of the two who joined the Knights of Walpurgis.
There is no doubt in my mind that would lead me to believe that Orion was not a pure-blood supremacist, but I don’t think he was much of an extremist when it came to blood purity. It definitely comes down to how far you are willing to go in order to preserve your own ideals and for Orion that only went as far as to marry your own cousin.
Alphard Black was a metamorphmagus like his grandniece Nymphadora Tonks. Being a metamorphmagi was not widely accepted back in the ‘30s and ‘40s, especially for witches and wizards born into influential pure-blood families so I don’t think Alphard’s parents approved of his abilities and probably implored him not to use them in public.
Cygnus and Druella were a love match which was a rare occurrence for pure-blood marriages at the time.
Tom Riddle’s classmate Rosier Sr. was the father of Evan and Felix Rosier. Rosier Sr. is also the brother of Druella Rosier, which therefore makes him the uncle of her three daughters Bellatrix, Andromeda and Narcissa.
Druella inherited the lighter Rosier traits such as blond hair and blue eyes from her father, while her brother Rosier Sr. got the gene for more darker features from his family like his aunt Vinda Rosier.
Birth order of the Black siblings: Walburga (b. 1925), Alphard (b. 1927) and Cygnus (b. 1929). Canonically, Cygnus was born somewhere around 1938 which would’ve made him thirteen by the time Bellatrix (b. 1951) was born. Most fans have considered this a mathematical error made by J.K. Rowling and so I’m going to put his date of birth around the late 1920s.
Lucretia Black was not a pure-blood supremacist like her family, making her much like her cousin Alphard in that regard. She would later become an ally to the Order of the Phoenix when Voldemort rose into power.
Rodolphus Lestrange is said to have the gift of foresight, which I headcanon he gets from his father Lestrange Sr. Ironically, the raven is the family emblem of the Lestrange family, and in Greek mythology, a raven is the sacred bird of Apollo, God of foresight.
Lestrange Sr. married Tasoula Shafiq, a pure-blood witch from the Shafiq family who are listed in the Sacred Twenty-Eight. The Shafiq family are of Middle Eastern origin which is where I assume Rabastan Lestrange got his name from; the name Rabastan is Arabic for ‘Head of the Serpent’.
Euphemia Potter and Walburga Black were actually very close friends during their time at Hogwarts. The two grew apart especially once they graduated and Euphemia went on to marry Fleamont. Walburga didn’t approve of the match, because even if the Potters were a respectable pure-blood family they were not supremacists.
Orion and Walburga saw their marriage as more of an obligation than a partnership. It was a practical match which neither Orion or Wally were hesitant to accept. The two of them believed that it was their duty to keep their bloodline pure and if that meant marrying each other then so be it.
Due to the House of Black’s constant inbreeding, Orion was born with hemophilia.

Yaxley family in-laws & additional relatives:
Nefriena Yaxley (née Shafiq) (b. 16 August 1925 - d. 20 February 1997) was the wife of Remaclus Yaxley and the adoptive mother of her sister-in-law's daughter, Véréne.
Lysimachus Amastris Yaxley (15 April 1859 - d. 6 July 1977) was the father of Lysandra Yaxley, as well as the grandfather of her three daughters: Callidora, Cedrella, and Charis.
Lycomedes Yaxley (b. 11 June 1861 - d. 23 May 1978) had been the father of Lysistratus Yaxley and the uncle of Lysandra Black, formerly Yaxley. He was the paternal grandfather of Remaclus, Fulcram, Corban, and Lysistrata.
Facts about these family members:
Nefriena couldn't have children of her own with Remaclus. The two considered it a blessing when they were given the chance to adopt Véréne.
Shafiq was the second cousin of Tasoula Lestrange as their fathers had been first cousins.
Lycomedes and Lysimachus had been very close throughout the entirety of their lives.
When Lysimachus passed away, Lycomedes died from grief over the loss of his brother.

Mark Strong as Rodolfo Lestrange, the younger brother of Cyricus Lestrange and Ermesinda Yaxley (née Lestrange). When Rodolfo was fourteen in 1909, tragedy struck: his brother Cyricus lost his life in an accident at one of the dragon reserves in Bosnia, where he had been studying the creatures’ behaviors. In the wake of Cyricus's death, Rodolfo became the sole heir to the Lestrange family, bearing the heavy expectations of his parents. In those early years, as he took up his brother’s mantle, Rodolfo often blamed Cyricus for his selfish pursuit of passions that led to danger. He wished his brother had focused more on his responsibilities rather than chasing an unachievable dream of becoming a Dragonologist.
In 1912, at the age of seventeen, Rodolfo had began courting the young Helvetica Flint. The two had been a love match from the start, but unfortunately they were unable to marry as Helvetica had been promised to another man. Although the witch had already been betrothed, Rodolfo continued to see Helvetica throughout the first few years of her marriage until he himself became engaged. In spite of Rodolfo’s loving relationship with Flint, she had been the one who encouraged him to carry through with the union with his fiancée, Ashraqat Noorbakhsh.
Reluctantly, Rodolfo married Ashraqat in 1924, just a year before the death of his father. Both Lord and Lady Lestrange mutually valued their duties to the family and respected one another for their shared dedication towards the bloodline. Rodolfo was a very kind and generous husband, not having the heart to neglect his bride for the mistress he had taken to long before he’d been tied down to Ashraqat. Lord Lestrange had learned to admire and appreciate the wife that was forced upon him by duty and obligation, although he remained truthful to her and didn’t hide his love for Helvetica.
With the knowledge that their marriage would surely fail if neither of them were allowed their own personal pleasures, Ashraqat (now known as Esclarmonde upon her marriage to her husband), had allowed Rodolfo to continue his affair with Helvetica as long as he remained present for their family and saw his mistress in private so that he did not shame his wife.
In 1948, Rodolfo would pass away just a couple years after his son Radolphus married Tasoula Shafiq, leaving behind Esclarmonde as his widow. In the following years of Rodolfo’s death, he would become the paternal grandfather of Rodolphus and Rabastan Lestrange.

Ermesinda Gisela “Féchín” Lestrange (b. 5 March 1930 — d. 29 May 1932) was the only daughter of Rodolfo and Esclarmonde Lestrange. She was named after her aunt Ermesinda Yaxley (née Lestrange), and had been four years younger than her elder brother Radolphus Lestrange, who married Tasoula Shafiq in 1948. Féchín was a small joy brought to her family, her presence bringing much comfort to her mother. The girl was constantly dotted on during the few short years of her life, especially by Esclarmonde, and so her death brought much sadness to the Lestrange household.
The youngest member of the Lestrange family died in 1932, at the age of two, from Cerebrumous Spattergroit. At the time, Esclarmonde was devastated and never got over the death of her daughter. Lady Lestrange became bitter by her grief, her once loving and maternal disposition having faded, leaving Esclarmonde with nothing but a relentless ache in her heart.
Ermesinda Yaxley and Esclarmonde Lestrange are original characters belonging to @knights-0f-walpurgis and @jegulustragedy.

Casimir and Lavinia - Carrow twins

The Carrow twins were inseparable since birth, if split even for a brief moment as infants, they would wail and cry out for one another. One always had to be put in the same crib as the other, or they refused to settle, their tiny bodies writhing in distress until they were reunited.
Growing up, Casimir and Lavinia were practically attached to the hip and would hardly ever be seen apart from each other and would do everything together: bathe, eat next to each other with their elbows and knees always touching, sleeping in the same room as one another, and even sharing the same bed.
The twins oddly close behavior didn't become questionable until they started getting older. By the time they were six their mother had arranged for the both of them to leave the nursery and place them in their own rooms, but the children were adamant on staying together and wouldn't relent until Mrs. Carrow agreed.
It was peculiar to their mother that Casimir and Lavinia should be so insistent on remaining in the same room as one another, but allowed it as she knew how close her children were and how much discomfort it brought them when they were apart.
Despite her initial reservations, Mrs. Carrow convinced herself that the twins' bond was simply a sign of their strong sibling connection. Yet, she'd often feel an uneasiness towards the relationship her children had with each other, especially when their nurse maids began reporting to her the children's tendency to sleep in each other's beds with one another instead of sleeping individually on their own separate mattresses.
Mrs. Carrow's main concern was not that the siblings were sharing a bed with one another, but that they weren't learning how to be dependent. She worried that their constant need for each other might hinder their personal growth and self-reliance.
As a result, she separated them and forced the two to sleep in their own rooms, which deeply upset the twins. It would be a trial for the nurse maids to actually keep both Casimir and Lavinia from sneaking out of their rooms to go and see each other and no matter how hard they tried, they just couldn’t keep them apart. Every effort they put into keeping them away from one another a during the night was futile and eventually they just gave up.
Something that the twins would often do was bathe with one another. As children they were washed together by their nursemaids in the same tub, but as they got older and depended less on the household staff to take care of them, they continued to willingly bathe with one another. This continued well into their teen years and these "bathing rituals" would transform into more private moments between Lavinia and Casimir.
Although in the beginning their time together in the tub consisted more of gentle caresses and innocent embraces, as they matured, those touches became more lingering and purposeful. The twins began to realize that it was not just about love and affection, but also desire and lust.
By the time they were thirteen the two had engaged in sexual intercourse with one another, but they kept their intimate engagements private and discreet so that even their own parents didn't know what was going on right underneath their noses.
There have been times where the twins had attempted to develop relationships outside of the one they had with each other, but their side partners could never quite satisfy them the same way they could with one another.
During their years at Hogwarts, Casimir and Lavinia were sorted into Slytherin and would mostly keep to themselves. They were a quiet pair, to the point they were practically invisible, which made them good spectators. The twins were also very observant, and so if you wanted to know anything about anybody, or what the latest drama in school was the twins would be the people you would want to go to.
No one ever really noticed them, but they would always be there watching. They knew everything that went around the school and everyone in it. It didn't matter whether or not you knew them, because the twins took mental notes of names and faces, so it was a 100% guarantee they knew who you were.
Do any of you remember the Carrow twins Hestia and Flora? They were always in the background of almost every scene in HBP, just spectating and watching almost creepily... Well that's exactly what Casimir and Lavinia were like.

Due to their lack of romantic engagements during their time at Hogwarts, Casimir and Lavinia's peers would often jest that the twins were secretly in love with each other. No one ever suspected such a harmless joke to actually be true, but that's not to say that many people really found out about them.
Being so close, the twins had an uncanny synchronization with one another, sort of like a telepathic understanding. It wasn't that they were able to read their minds, but they were so strongly bonded that with the simplest look or shift of expression one twin could tell exactly what the other was thinking. The two didn't finish each other's sentences or anything like that, it was more of just being able to read one another's body language.
They often cultivated an air of mystery around themselves. Their quiet demeanor and piercing gazes made others uneasy, and they often became subject to rumors, further enhancing their enigmatic reputation. They didn't have many friends, nor did many people get the chance to hear their voices. The twins barely talked to anyone and this made them quite an unsolved puzzle.
When Tom Riddle first opened the Chamber of Secrets and killed Myrtle, they knew exactly who did it, but they just didn't say anything about it probably because they just didn't care or maybe because they were being good background characters and letting MC Tom Riddle have his moment killing a mudblood and theatrically ripping out a piece of his soul like-
(Cas and Lav were probably standing in a corner watching as this happened tbh)
The twins were just so apathetic, to them Riddle was just another drama queen bitching about his fear of mortality and death while both Casimir and Lavinia were probably just like done with his melodrama. Like everyone dies, get over yourself, Tom.
Once Riddle formed the Knights of Walpurgis that's when Casimir and Lavinia started getting more involved with him. It wasn't that they willingly volunteered to join him and his followers, it was more like one night he was out wandering the corridors with the Knights after curfew and he just spotted the twins in the restricted section of the library or somewhere else they weren't supposed to be.
Another thing I should point out about the twins is that since people barely noticed them they were able to get away with almost everything, and that includes sneaking around the castle at night.
Cas and Lav had a passion for the Dark Arts, but rather than seeking power for its own sake, they viewed it as a fascinating subject to study, so they'd often go to the restricted section at night to read up more on their unforgivables and things of that nature. The two had shared a fondness for the Dark Arts since they were younger, especially when it came to curses that inflicted pain.
Really Tom just wanted them for their good ears and eyes, knowing that they would be valuable to him as spies. The only reason why Casimir and Lavinia agreed to do Tom's bidding as they found promise in his influence over others and gravitated towards the complexity of his character that made him almost unsolvable, which was something that the twins never struggled with before.

Hi! I took this idea from @lazyreinelle (with their permission!)
Unlikely OCs meeting?
Casimir Carrow meeting Aykut Shafiq?
Aykut is a humble and accepting man. Even if Casimir unsettled him, he’d awkwardly try to make him feel welcome and comfortable (although I doubt Casimir would show much gratitude).
The Carrow twins were friends with Tasoula, so Aykut would do his best to be respectful. As for Casimir, he would be unfazed by Aykut’s hospitality, remaining stoic and relatively silent during conversations with his friend’s father.
Even when Casimir does muster up the energy to engage with Aykut, there’s a lot of unnecessary tension.
Aykut: So… I’ve heard from my daughter that you are quite the potioneer? ☺️
Casimir: Toxicology, mostly.
Aykut: Ah… poisons 😅
Casimir *really trying his best to be cordial with Aykut for Tasoula’s sake*: Yes… did you know that just a few drops from the Acantha plant can kill the average person within seconds?
Aykut: Oh really…? 😳
Casimir: It’s one of the most undetectable poisons to date… but the most deadliest. If I can remember correctly, my great-grandfather killed his own brother with it.
Aykut *getting visibly pale*: Oh…? Why did he kill him? 😟
Casimir *admitting nonchalantly*: He cheated in cards.

If Renissa had married Evan, it would've been such an interesting parallel because Tasoula couldn't get with Ètienne so their children got together.
I KNOW! And it’s almost the same anyway because Renissa and Evan didn’t end up together either 😭

Radolphus Lestrange II - Lestrange Sr
Nicknames: Rue, Rudolph
His patronus is a fox (an animal which usually represents cunningness and deception)
Radolphus is of German, French, and Iranian descent; his father is German and French while his mother is Iranian and German.
He had one younger sister Gisela who was seven years younger than him. She died when she was four from Cerebrumous Spattergroit in 1936.
Étienne Rosier - Rosier Sr
He is the elder brother of Druella Rosier.
The Rosiers were kinda like the Lestranges of the 1940s in regard to their association to powerful dark wizards. At the time, Étienne’s family were Grindelwald’s most loyal acolytes, much how like the Lestranges were Voldemort’s most valued followers.
He had a reputation in the school because of this since everyone knew his aunt was Grindelwald’s right-hand man woman.
Étienne never met Grindelwald in person but everyone assumed that he did and a lot of false rumors started going around the school about how he was a spying on Dumbledore for the Alliance.
Sergei Dolohov
Nicknames: Seryozha (not many people outside of his family call him this tho)
He was born in Russia and attended Koldovstoretz, but he was expelled and so his family sent him to England where he enrolled at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Sergei is Antonin Dolohov’s uncle, he himself never went on to have children; Sergei wasn’t much of a family man in all honesty, he liked his freedom.
Notorious for uprooting a tree on Hogwarts grounds and flying on it like a broom around the school.

Unlikely OC's meeting (Part 4)
Lavinia Carrow + Étienne Rosier.
Sorry! I really wanted to know!
They knew each other through the Knights of Walpurgis. Lavinia was an underclassman of Étienne, having been a year younger than him.
Étienne didn’t necessarily like Lavinia, but he kept his opinions to himself because she was a valued member of the Knights. As long as she did her part in contributing to Riddle’s success, Rosier didn’t spare Lavinia a second thought.
Étienne definitely tried to keep Lavinia away from Tasoula as best as he could. The Carrow twins weren’t exactly the most approachable couple, but ironically Tasoula managed to break through their barriers (which frustrated Rosier to no end).
Both Étienne and Radolphus actually didn’t like Tasoula hanging around the Carrows. But, of course, during their time at Hogwarts, Étienne had been the only one out of the two that really was there for their shared lover at the time.
(Radolphus was too busy self-sabotaging his relationship with Tasoula by letting his side pieces warm his bed 🙄)
Long story short, Tasoula is friends with Lavinia, which is something Étienne doesn’t like one bit. Lavinia probably would rub it in his face about the fact that she “stole” his girlfriend.
I could also see them both maybe competing with each other for Tasoula’s attention and time haha!

Sergei Dolohov was notorious for raking up multiple conquests during his years at Hogwarts. Although he was quite the ladies’ man, he never sought out a genuine relationship with any of his female peers. Instead, Dolohov preferred to remain a single bachelor, lacking the desire for love.
In spite of the distance Sergei kept between himself and those he’s hooked up with, the young Russian wizard kept a close relationship with Tasoula Shafiq, the two having become ‘friends with benefits’ by their sixth year.
Even if Dolohov had trouble satiating his appetites, he cared for Tasoula as a friend, and so was initially hesitant to become physically intimate with her.
Tasoula was one of the only people who called Sergei by his nickname “Seryozha”.
These characters belong to @konstantynowitz.
