I am actually kind of conflicted about this!! I understand that Walburga wasn’t the greatest mother but I do believe that her upbringing and the lack of choice she was given in her own life really did mold her into the woman she was forced to become.
Orion is just as much a victim as his wife is, for neither of them wanted to get married to each other to begin with (or at least that is what I assume, although I suppose it depends how you look at it). He didn’t get a choice either, but for the sake of his family’s purity I would guess he’d be willing to do just about anything to ensure that his bloodline remained pure.
From what I’ve seen, Orion Black is portrayed as an abusive husband and mentally disturbed man who made his wife’s life a living Hell from the start to finish. Alternatively, I also sometimes come across interpretations of him being a submissive and acquiescent partner at Walburga’s side, watching as she mistreated both their sons with very little intervention on his part.
Although these are only some versions of how I’ve seen Orion Black portrayed in the perspectives of others, I REALLY want to see a softer, more caring side of him where he actually seems to love both Sirius and Regulus. I want to see Orion genuinely trying to show his children how much he cares, even if that means going as far as to divorce Walburga and take full custody of the children.
Orion just wants to run away with his boys. There came a breaking point in his marriage with Walburga where the man just had enough of the abuse and manipulation. He could no longer stand the screams of his children and the unstable state Walburga found herself in. Orion wanted to protect Sirius and Regulus, wishing them to give the two a safe and happy childhood.

Sorry to ask again! It's just I really like your character Eglantine Rosier (née Volant). My question was: Is Eglantine aware of her son's participation with Riddle? Does she support it or she's concerned?
No worries! I love asks! (:
Eglantine is aware of Étienne’s involvement with the Death Eaters. At first, she is not very supportive because she’s more concerned about the continuation of the family line and wishes for Étienne to focus on finding a wife rather than galavanting around foolishly and recklessly, all the while using up the Rosier fortune on the “spoiled muggle boy”.
Eglantine supports her son’s purist ideology and is proud that he is advocating for the pure-bloods that feel threatened by the presence of muggles. Despite this, she feels somewhat concerned for Étienne due to having gone through a similar wizarding uprising with Grindelwald, which ultimately failed in the end.

hi! I saw your post about the Bulstrodes and is Hortensia related to Letitia and Tasoula or Isolde?
That post is a little old and I’m still not sure where I’m going with Tasoula’s ancestry. But at the time when I had originally thought up her lineage, Hortensia was the mother of Isolde, which would’ve made her the maternal grandmother of Letitia.
Letitia was Tasoula’s mother, therefore meaning that the both of them were descendants of the Bulstrode family.

Amy James-Kelly as Myfanwy Tangwystl Greengrass (née Keirstead), the daughter of Lord Keirstead and Tangwystl Goshawk. She was born within the year 1955 as the youngest of her siblings and was immediately adored by her parents, especially by her mother who she had always been close to. During her youth, Myfanwy had a talent for languages, quickly mastering not only English and her mother's native Welsh, but also developing a keen interest in the ancient histories of the long-forgotten magical creatures now deemed to be nothing more than myths. The girl had always felt a pull towards the mystical, a fascination that set her apart from her more pragmatic siblings. From a young age, Myfanwy’s mother would take her out into the forests outside of their family’s estate to go looking for Pixies and Bowtruckles—all small, harmless creatures that she fawned over as a child.
Keirstead grew up with a soft heart, living with a rare emotional sensitivity to her surroundings. She was somewhat awkward and shy, much like her grandson, Scorpius Malfoy. Myfanwy struggled interacting with others, even once she enrolled at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry around the year 1966, where she was sorted into Ravenclaw House. Although Myfanwy had siblings in the years above her, she remained relatively unknown and didn’t socialize much with her peers. Even connections she made to students through family ties weren’t strong enough to consider legitimate friendships, which led her to be quite lonely.
By the time she reached her fifth year, Myfanwy had miraculously started befriending students in years both above and below her. One of these friendships led to a romantic relationship she struck up with Lysander Greengrass, a Slytherin classmate who was a year older than her. The couple had continued their romance throughout the remainder of their years at Hogwarts, later marrying each other in 1975. As a result of the union, Myfanwy would produce two daughters: Daphne and Astoria Greengrass, the latter becoming the wife of Draco Malfoy.

Anna Sagaydachnaya as Olezka Avreliyevna Voronova — She was a member of the Russian pure-blood aristocracy and had grown up privileged as the eldest daughter of Avreliy Voronov, a cousin of Apollinariya Voronova. Olezka’s mother was Roksana, a dear friend of Apollinariya who was made Tatiana Lebedeva’s godmother. The girls were very close, although Olezka had been four years her cousin’s senior and had proved herself to be more responsible and poised during their upbringing, often guiding Tatiana through the intricacies of high society. Like the rest of her family, Olezka carried Veela blood in her veins, which often caused her to receive attention of suitors at a very young age as she quite beautiful.

Nazanin Boniadi as Khepriya “Priya” Crouch (née Shafiq), the wife of Bartemius Crouch Senior and the mother of Bartemius “Barty” Crouch Junior. She was born into the wealthy and prominent Shafiq family, whose bloodline was inducted into the inner circle of the Sacred Twenty-Eight within the mid 1900s as a result of their marital ties to both the Lestrange and Crouch families. Khepriya was the daughter and only child of Aykut Shafiq’s favorite cousin, Khorshīd Shafiq. As a young witch, Khepriya was praised for her sharp mind, often seeking her own independence whilst using knowledge as a leg up in a society run by men.
Priya, as her father’s only child, had much to prove when it came to her value, especially when it was made clear by Khorshīd that his daughter would be the named heiress to his fortune. By the age of seventeen, just shortly after graduating Hogwarts, Khepriya had found herself working as an intern at the Ministry with hopes of becoming an Auror. A fellow colleague of Priya at the time was Alastor Moody, a boy of nineteen, who she had become quite good friends with.
The first few months of her internship were spent under the guidance of Moody as he had been assigned to show Khepriya the ropes. Another one of Priya’s associates at the time was Barty Crouch Senior, a young wizard from a family that basically had rooted themselves in the Ministry for generations. Both Crouch and Shafiq quickly became lovers, but their relationship would eventually become problematic when Priya found out she was pregnant with Barty’s child at only seventeen-years-old.
Barty Senior was quick to insist that he and Priya marry, as he was not willing to accept the thought of his first child being a bastard. The two married by the time Khepriya was a month pregnant, although her parents were somewhat disagreeable to the match. As a result, Priya was forced to choose between her newfound family and the relationship she had with her parents, but had unflinchingly chosen her husband and son.
Within the year 1966, at the age of 24, Shafiq obtained a Ministry job as an Auror, becoming most well-known for her concealment charms and deceptive capabilities. Khepriya was also a skilled potioneer, having always kept a flask of Polyjuice potion with her when it came to missions in which she had to mask her identity. Despite her value to the Ministry, Priya prioritized her son over her job, unlike her husband who was practically married to his work by the time Barty Junior was four-years-old, at which Crouch had been promoted to being Head of the Department of Law Enforcement.
Khepriya adored her son, loving him fiercely and wanting nothing more than to protect him. When Barty Junior was sentenced to life imprisonment as a result of his association with Voldemort and the crimes he committed against the Longbottoms, Khepriya came to her son’s defense and took his place in Azkaban while pretending to be him with the help of a Polyjuice potion.

Emma Canning as Daphnée Greengrass (née Moreau) (b. 18 December 1925 — d. 22 October 1993), the mother of Lysander Greengrass, therefore making her the paternal grandmother of Daphne and Astoria Greengrass. She was a witch of French descent and a member of the Moreau family, which had once held prominence during the French Renaissance. Amongst those who bore the Moreau family name was Darenne Moreau, the wife of Cyrille Lestrange (I).
Around the mid 1930s, Daphnée had been enrolled at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Moreau was sorted into Slytherin House where she met Hyperion Greengrass, an upperclassman who had been a year her senior. The two would later become betrothed by Daphnée’s sixth year at school, although her parents were originally skeptical of the match due to the Greengrass family’s blood curse. In spite of the doubts of her mother and father, Daphnée remained persistent in her desire to marry Hyperion and the couple would officially join in matrimony a year after her graduation.
Daphnée was close friends with Tasoula Shafiq, acting as an elder sister figure to her future cousin-in-law, who ironically would be mistaken as her sibling on several occasions. Both girls bonded over the fact that they grew up without a person with whom they could share a sisterly bond with, and so, it would be for this very reason that Tasoula would be chosen as Daphnée’s Maid of Honor during her wedding in 1943.

What do you HC the parents of Daphne and Astoria as?
Lysander Hyperion Greengrass was the father of Daphne and Astoria Greengrass. He was born around the mid to late fifties and became a Death Eater during the First Wizarding War. Although he wasn’t a well-known follower, Lysander contributed greatly to Voldemort’s first uprising.
I’m not sure about the mother yet. I haven’t thought about the Greengrass family in a little while. I guess that’s something I’ll have to work on next, but I was planning on her being from a minor pure-blood family.

Louis Gage — the quiet one, the reserved one. He loves the deeper meanings to life and expresses them in his artwork. Passion is his driving force.
Mathis Gage — the womanizer, the socialite. A young aristocrat who just isn’t ready to settle down yet because he is too busy being a lady’s man.

Does Casimir love Lysistrata?
Lysistrata is Casimir’s wife, his possession. She belongs to him and only him. Anyone else who dares to stake a claim on her has a death sentence. There are very few people that Casimir would let get anywhere near Lysistrata and not serve consequences for doing something like simply just looking in her direction.
Casimir doesn’t know the full extent of his emotions, nor has he ever loved properly. There is a blockage somewhere in that brain of his that just isn’t capable of seeing past his own twisted mindset.
However, he does seem to care for Lysistrata, even if he can’t express it.

Unlikely OC's meeting (Part 4)
Lavinia Carrow + Étienne Rosier.
Sorry! I really wanted to know!
They knew each other through the Knights of Walpurgis. Lavinia was an underclassman of Étienne, having been a year younger than him.
Étienne didn’t necessarily like Lavinia, but he kept his opinions to himself because she was a valued member of the Knights. As long as she did her part in contributing to Riddle’s success, Rosier didn’t spare Lavinia a second thought.
Étienne definitely tried to keep Lavinia away from Tasoula as best as he could. The Carrow twins weren’t exactly the most approachable couple, but ironically Tasoula managed to break through their barriers (which frustrated Rosier to no end).
Both Étienne and Radolphus actually didn’t like Tasoula hanging around the Carrows. But, of course, during their time at Hogwarts, Étienne had been the only one out of the two that really was there for their shared lover at the time.
(Radolphus was too busy self-sabotaging his relationship with Tasoula by letting his side pieces warm his bed 🙄)
Long story short, Tasoula is friends with Lavinia, which is something Étienne doesn’t like one bit. Lavinia probably would rub it in his face about the fact that she “stole” his girlfriend.
I could also see them both maybe competing with each other for Tasoula’s attention and time haha!

Avery (who is unnamed at the moment), had been disowned by his father for not following the family’s purist beliefs. As a result, he was homeless and found company on the Night Bus where he spent most of his time living a nomadic lifestyle.
Does anyone have headcanons for the Avery family?

12 Grimmauld Place hasn't always been the house of the House of Black. It was a muggle house whose owners mysteriously disappeared, and it was given to Arcturus Black I to bribe him to vote in favor of some laws weren't necessarily of his interest. It was never disclosed who gave it to him, but some people said it was from Robert Greengrass.
The family tapestry was moved from Corvelius Manor, their ancestral house and where Antares Black originally created it. That manor is still a property of the family but it's not in use.
