…looked a lot like Andromeda during his youth. He had soft, chestnut hair that curled lightly at the top of his head, and chocolate brown eyes that resembled the warm orbs of a deer.

…in states of fury, his gaze could darken to a dangerous black, although he wasn’t prone to lash out often.

…very even-tempered, not hotheaded or impulsive. Arcturus kept a good head on his shoulders and had a diplomatic mind.

Before her fingertips could even make contact with the brass, the door creaks open, greeting Miss Pretlove with a chilling silence.

The unseasoned detective takes one more look of her surroundings, scanning the street behind her as she checked for any bystanders who might’ve been watching. No one seemed to be present, which meant no one would’ve witnessed her slip inside the house unwelcome. Taking a deep breath, she mustered up whatever courage she could summon, and took a step into the empty foyer, the door shutting itself behind her seconds later, locking her into an unsettling stillness.

Little did Miss Pretlove know that she would never return to her world, nor would anyone know to come looking for her as there was no one who saw the young woman enter 12 Grimmauld Place.

I need some Black siblings hcs for Sirius (II), Phineas, Arcturus (II), Belvina, and Cygnus Black (II) because I just came across a quoted statement in a letter from Ursula Flint to her husband, Phineas Nigellus, and I can’t stop thinking about them now. She says that her youngest son, Cygnus, was an “unwelcome shadow” and that he was always following Arcturus around like a lost puppy.

Here’s what she said in the whole letter:

"Merlin help me, Cygnus is now crawling and follows Arcturus about like an unwelcome shadow. Arcturus is begging for an Invisibility Potion and frankly I can't blame him. I'd be tempted to brew one if it weren't for the eternal snivelling that Cygnus would regale me with."

It’s just so funny to me that Cygnus was basically the annoying little brother and that even his mother was fed up with him 😂
