Financial documents for Australia study visa.
Studying in Australia is a dream for many international students, but the process of applying for an Australian study visa can be overwhelming. One of the most important aspects of the application process is providing proof of financial support. This is crucial, as it ensures that you have enough funds to support your stay in Australia and cover your tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses. In this blog, we'll discuss the financial requirements for an Australian study visa, including the importance of income tax returns (ITRs).
For an Australian study visa, the most important thing is the finances. You need to provide evidence that you have enough funds to support your stay in Australia. The Australian government requires international students to have at least AUD 21,041 per year to cover living expenses. In addition, you also need to show that you have enough money to pay for your tuition fees and other study-related expenses.
One way to provide evidence of financial support is through income tax returns (ITRs). If you have a sponsor, whether it is your parents or grandparents, you need to submit their ITRs for a minimum of 2 years. The ITRs serve as proof of income and show that your sponsor has the financial capacity to support your education and living expenses in Australia.
It's important to note that if you are from Punjab or Haryana, the ITRs should not be agriculture-based. Instead, you can provide business-based ITRs because many universities don't accept agriculture-based ITRs. Therefore, it's important to ensure that you have ITRs of at least 2 years that meet the requirements of your university of choice.
In addition to ITRs, you may also need to provide other financial documents, such as bank statements, loan documents, and financial sponsorship letters. These documents should clearly show that you have enough funds to support your stay in Australia.
In conclusion, when applying for an Australian study visa, it's important to provide proof of financial support. Income tax returns (ITRs) are a crucial part of this process, and you should ensure that you have ITRs for the past two years that meet the requirements of your university. In addition to ITRs, you may also need to provide other financial documents that show you have enough funds to support your stay in Australia. With proper planning and preparation, you can meet the financial requirements for an Australian study visa and achieve your dream of studying in Australia.

So you’re thinking of moving to/visiting Australia? Don’t.
The international media has largely depicted Australia’s COVID response as something to be envied. You could be forgiven for being in awe of a country with low cases of COVID (if you can put aside the fact that they are geographically isolated, which already gave them a leg up in their ability to manage the pandemic). But are you aware of the costs of this response?
Do a quick search on Google, Facebook, or Twitter for #strandedaussies and you will find that this country that prides itself on ‘mateship’, on not turning their backs on their friends, on looking out for each other when times are at their absolute roughest, was the first and only country in the world (now recently joined by New Zealand) to abandon their citizens overseas for 19 months (and counting), blocking off their ability to return home and rendering them jobless, homeless, without visas and healthcare, still having to pay taxes in Australia, and for some, even leading to death and suicide. All the while, non-citizen celebrities, sports people, and politicians moved in and out of the country freely.
So what does this have to do with future tourists and migrants to Australia? Thinking of moving to Australia? Don’t. Unless you enjoy the idea of never seeing your overseas family again, or enjoy saying your last goodbyes as they die via Zoom. While it was always harder for people to enter Australia than it was to leave, Australia recently increased the requirements needed to leave - effectively trapping people within Australia. There were many stories of people being who, upon being told that their family overseas had suffered tragic events and had weeks (at most) to live, had their exemptions to leave Australia denied. Even though it was brought up time and time again that people leaving Australia does not impact COVID rates within Australia. Or they were unable to get their parents and family members into Australia for important events - births, sicknesses, deaths. You can search for #parentsareimmediatefamily to see the advocacy work of thousands of Australians within Australia who could not bring their parents into the country because the government did not consider parents close enough family to be allowed into the country (although, mind you, Natalie Portman was able to bring her parents into Australia). Many Australians took for granted that they could see their family and have their support networks throughout the pandemic. This was an unprecedented event that was taxing in every way possible; support networks were more important than ever. And so many migrant families were cut-off from this vital source of support when they needed it the most.
Thinking of studying in Australia? Don’t. You can also look up #internationalstudentsaustralia to see the thousands of students left in limbo overseas for 19+ months as they continue to pay educational fees, have their studies forcibly terminated by Universities, and pay rent on student housing they can’t live in. Several students have died by suicide as they cannot see a way back into Australia. Universities rely a LOT on international students to make them what they are, to add to their prestige and their global standings. They have been forgotten and ignored during Australia’s COVID response. You are brilliant, and you deserve better than Australia.
Thinking of visiting Australia? Don’t. From a moral standpoint - why financially support a country that treats its own citizens like trash? But it didn’t just treat citizens like trash, it treated anyone living outside of Australia as a COVID-carrying biohazard. The government, the media, and the public dehumanised them, vilified them, abused them, actively told them to “die overseas”. They called for the international borders to slam shut entirely, to cut themselves off from the world. Until, of course, their small business and tourism started to falter and they necessarily needed to open up international borders and suddenly beg tourists (the exact same people they had abused not a moment ago) to come and revive them. Demand better from Australia and vote with your money. I have hope that, one day, Australia will be a more ethical country, one that you would be proud to visit and financially support. But its current behaviour should not be condoned.
So yes, they kept their COVID cases low. But their response was an extreme end on the opposite spectrum to those governments that had incredibly high COVID cases and a lot of deaths. There is a middle ground needed. However, the majority of the Australian government and public did not think a middle ground existed - they believed it was better to sacrifice their overseas citizens, their migrant families, their overseas workers, and their international students for an indeterminable amount of time, while onshore Australians soaked in the glory of being considered globally to have ‘the best COVID response’. They hosted the Australian Open, countless American/British/global celebrities, packed stadiums full of sporting spectators the entire way through the pandemic, and held comedy and music festivals - all things they considered were worth more than the lives and wellbeing of others. They called said people who had family overseas weren’t “true Australians”, they called stranded Australians “traitorous mutts” for having the audacity to leave the country, and they actively wished death on all those outside of Australia’s borders - all while ignoring the fact that these overseas connections are what makes Australia what it is. The key theme running through this post is: if it happened once, it can happen again. At any time in the future, Australia may ignore and infringe upon your human rights. The government and public decided that their freedoms and their frivolity were worth more than human life. Now they want your tourism dollars, your brightest students, your highly skilled migrant workers back. Australia does not deserve your money, your skills, your love; it does not know how to love in return. The relationship with Australia is one-sided. I hope one day it will change but for now, I implore you to #boycottAustralia.

The death and disappearance of thousands of Indigenous children and the Queen's alleged direct involvement begs the question: How much more do we not know about what happened to thousands of native people in Canada?
Tumblr media
St Paul's Residential School
In 1964 Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip visited the Kamloops Residential School in Kamloops British Columbia, Canada. 10 children were alleged to have been taken to join them for a "picnic" and were never to be seen again.
In 2013, a video was uploaded to Youtube by the ITCCS or International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State. It compiled multiple witness accounts from both victims and their families, detailing events that occurred during inhumane oppression and effective genocide of the native people of Canada and Alaska through use of Residential Schools. While the ITCCS is not an accredited organisation, they state that they are a coalition of survivors of Church violence, spanning across 9 countries and that the purpose of the video was to convene an "Online Common Law Court of Justice. While many Fact Checker websites denounce any legitimacy to the claims and aims of the organisation - citing it as a blog run by a single disgruntled man - the sheer amount of witnesses and others working for the alleged organisation, contradict claims made by Fact Checkers. Historical evidence can also be seen to bolster the claims made by the ITCCS. With so many coming forward to participate in the proceedings of the independent litigation, and an independent jury of over 20 deciding on the guilty charge, I believe the stories of each victim and their families should not be dismissed.
As Sovereign to the UK, the Queen has diplomatic immunity and "civil and criminal proceedings cannot be taken against the Sovereign as a person under UK law". So even in the event of these stories being investigated by recognised organisations, the Queen would most likely have any evidence covered up and not face consequences for her hands in the disappearance and deaths of any of the people I will be discussing in this post. Kamloops is just the tip of the iceberg. The story that unfolds from 1863 till today is one that has been covered, silenced and cost the lives and liberty of multiple people who dared to speak out or investigate.
"For more than a century, they were anonymous. But now the names of 2,800 indigenous children who died in Canadian residential schools will finally be known"
BBC - https://bit.ly/3evIYFb
From 1863 to 1996, over 150,000 indigenous children were taken from their families and placed in state-run boarding schools funded by The Royal Family via tax-payers dollars and their various affiliates. Many children were abused, disappeared or died whilst in attendance and thousands of bodies were disposed of or crudely buried without being reconciled with their families.
The landmark Truth and Reconciliation report, released in 2015, said the policy amounted to "cultural genocide".
Whilst the Canadian government has made strides in delivering on reparation for some of the families, the Royal Family and their perverted friends who benefited from the trafficking of many of the young children, are yet to even admit their involvement.
The first to speak out about his experience in Residential Schools and against her majesty, was William Combes. He was 59 and in good health but following his efforts to spread word and the subsequent article released detailing his account, he was committed to St Paul's Hospital for "tests" by his newly assigned doctor. His health immediately began deteriorating and he died of a still undisclosed cause. The Vancouvor Coroner's Department also refuses to comment on his death.
In his heart wrenching account, William described the torture he suffered at the hands of Priests at the Kamloop’s Residential School. His main abuser being a Father Murphy, who he said to have witnessed throw a little girl off a three story balcony, killing her. After failing in an attempt to escape, following witness of the murder, he was placed on a rack, having bones broken as to deter him from trying to run ever again.
He then goes on to describe the fateful day the 10 children disappeared after a "picnic" with the Royals. He says he remembered seeing "the Queen leave the picnic with ten children from the school, and those kids never returned".
Tumblr media
Port Albany Residential School
This picnic ruse has also been seen used in the trafficking of orphaned and "illegitimate" children, into slave labour until the 1970, at the behest of our government and Monarch. This was described by journalist Giulia Rhodes in a column for the Guardian when she released interviews from victims of the trafficking travesty.
Both the implementation of Residential Schools and the trafficking of orphaned or "bastard” children were supported by or at the direct behest of the monarchy.
Although William never got a chance to share his account in court, his written account can be found online here: shorturl.at/gjmVZ
Now the terrifying confirmed truth of the cultural genocide is awful enough without embellishment from any allegations, founded or not. The thousands of missing and dead children are not hear-say and have an evil seeded history of their own.
Residential schools were created in an attempt to assimilate indigenous children to the dominant Canadian Culture - "To kill the Indian in the child".
Due to an amendment to the 1876 Indian Act in 1894, it became mandatory for all children of the First Nations to attend either day, industrial or residential schools and with indigenous communities living far from the European settlements, residential schools were the only way to comply for many native-Canadians. Intentionally located at substantial distances from Indigenous communities to minimize contact between families and their children, the Indian Commissioner Hayter Reed argued for schools at greater distances to reduce family visits, which he thought counteracted efforts to "civilize" Indigenous children. Intended to restrict parental visits further, a pass system was introduced, preventing Indigenous people from leaving Reservations, further confining native peoples to their settlements and their children to the schools. The last federally operated residential school closed in 1996, called Gordon's Indian Residential School and was located in Punnichy, Saskatchewan.
As explained in the executive summary of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada's (TRC) final report: "Underlying these arguments was the belief that the colonizers were bringing civilization to savage people who could never civilize themselves. The 'civilizing mission' rested on a belief of racial and cultural superiority."
As a result of the intentional distance placed between schools and Indigenous communities, there was much opposition from the Indigenous people, leading government officials to be tasked with "rounding up" children from Reservations. With schools reliant on student number quotas to receive funding, as well as racist sentiments being writhe in Canadian communities, a cycle of cruel brutalisation of children so the greedy could line their pockets, began.
Research by the TRC revealed that at least 3,201 students had died, mostly from disease. TRC chair, Justice Murray Sinclair, has suggested that the number of deaths may be closer to more than 6,000.
Since the closing of the residential schools, the federal and provincial governments have issued apologies, whilst still denying blame, claiming that due to the schools being founded pre-Confederation, they should not be held accountable. This despite the continuation and increasing violence and oppressive restrictions taking place well into the days of the Federation.
The Vatican also issued an “expression of sorrow” as opposed to an apology, saying the following:
His Holiness [i.e. the Pope] recalled that since the earliest days of her presence in Canada, the Church, particularly through her missionary personnel, has closely accompanied the Indigenous peoples.
Given the sufferings that some Indigenous children experienced in the Canadian Residential School system, the Holy Father expressed his sorrow at the anguish caused by the deplorable conduct of some members of the Church and he offered his sympathy and prayerful solidarity. His Holiness emphasized that acts of abuse cannot be tolerated in society. He prayed that all those affected would experience healing, and he encouraged First Nations Peoples to continue to move forward with renewed hope.
Placing blame on "some individuals” for the founding, funding and running of hundreds of Residential schools, which would have been impossible to have kept in business for over 100 years without the knowledge, let alone support, of the Vatican and it's then Pope. Imploring the victims to "move forward with renewed hope” instead of offering a genuine apology and admittance of the Church's involvement.
The eerie case surrounding Queen Elizebeth and Prince Philip's involvement has yet to be officially investigated and thousands of indigenous people remain missing or assumed dead. The TRC organisation and others like it are dedicated to the finding and reconciliation of lost family members to their loved ones and ancestral home. You can find more information on this at: https://education.nctr.ca/
You can also find information on the trafficking of children from the UK to Australia from 1970, where many of the children were also lured using the similar picnic ruse, in order to be kidnapped and sold into indentured servitude, here: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2015/oct/24/britains-child-migrants-i-was-told-i-was-going-on-a-picnic

Cost of Studying in the Netherlands The cost of study at Dutch universities and other higher education institutions depends on a student’s nationality. University fees for Dutch and EU students For students from the Netherlands, other EU/EEA countries, Switzerland or Surinam, the cost of study at Dutch universities and higher education institutions are mostly covered by the government. However, these students are required to contribute a statutory tuition fee an annual amount of around 2.000 euros, set by the government. University fees for non-EU students in the Netherlands For non-EU students study costs are usually higher when coming to the Netherlands. This amount depends on the institution, the degree, the student’s residence permit type, whether they have studied before, and if they have obtained a scholarship. To know the exact amount, it’s advised to research costs directly with the institution of your choice. Private school costs in the Netherlands Private schools such as business schools, run bachelor and MBA programs with tuition fees ranging from roughly 16.000 to 36.000 euros for a complete program. Student Financing in the Netherlands The Dutch government also has a student financing system to assist students with paying for their study and living costs, including public transport. What it comprises exactly depends on what you study. Student financing is available to Dutch students, however, non-Dutch students are sometimes also eligible if they have EU citizenship or a type II, III, or IV residence permit. Additional costs while studying Extra costs that need to be taken into consideration include: Visa and residence permit fees. Travel costs to arrive in the Netherlands. Accommodation in the Netherlands (e.g. short stay, room, apartment, student housing, etc.). Dutch health insurance depending on where you are from and how long you are staying. Study materials such as textbooks or equipment. Travel costs to places such as shopping, using public transport, and leisure activities. Students are often eligible for discounts at many bars, restaurants, museums, and cinemas. Study costs are tax-deductible If case you are working while studying in the Netherlands, you can deduct study costs on your annual income tax return. Deductible study costs include: Programs and degrees such as an MBA, Master’s, Bachelor’s, MBO, or certain personal development courses Textbooks A computer Study materials such as specialized software or equipment Note- Language courses, travel costs, and accommodation are not deductible.
The Netherland’s Student Visa Process The Holland student visa process for a Non –EU student is as below. Provincial Residence Permit- MVV, officially known as Machtiging tot Voorlopig Verblijf (MVV). This is also known as the permit to enter the Netherlands. The MVV is applied for on the student’s behalf by the university. MVV allows entry into the country for six months. Most of the courses at universities last for 1 to 4 years, a mere MVV will not suffice. Hence the other option is to apply for VVR. VVR or a Residence Permit -once you enter the country, you need to apply for VVR or a Residence Permit. The VVR is also applied for by the host university. VVR is valid for the duration of the program and is permitted only for study purposes the student had enrolled in. There is another condition attached with the validity of VVR. It stays valid provided the student scores 50% of credit throughout the course duration. As the Netherlands is a part of the European Union, international students from the EU or EEA get special privileges and have different requirements. They require neither the MVV nor VVR for studying in the Netherlands. Such students have to simply request their host institutions to register them with the immigration authority. For students from the USA, Canada, Vatican City State, Monaco, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, only a VVR is required. Requirements for Student Visa for the Netherlands For the successful grant of a student visa for the Netherlands, you must submit these compulsory documents:
Valid passport
Sufficient financial Proof -means validating that you will be able to support yourself financially during your stay. These include either or all transfer of funds, bank statement, and scholarship letter.
Letter from the university you have chosen confirming your admission or enrollment
Proof of payment for all required legal fees
Health insurance
NUFFIC-certificate, a requirement only for Chinese students
Other document requirements are:
Completed application form
Two photographs meeting the officially specified conditions
Birth certificate
Academic transcripts
Insurance Requirements Netherlands student visa requirements-students are required to have valid health insurance to bear their medical expenses in the Netherlands if required. For non-EU, non-EEA, and students from Switzerland, their EU Health Insurance Card should be sufficient. For those working in the Netherlands, it is compulsory to take the Dutch basic healthcare insurance. Keep this in mind if you intend to work part-time during your course. Students should find out from their host institution for details on health insurance requirements and references for an insurance company. Many private companies also offer special insurance packages for students. Some other insurance options are not required but are strongly advised. Personal liability insurance is for insuring you against costs incurred by you in case of damage to someone or their property. Repatriation insurance should also be considered. It covers you against the transferring cost incurred if a serious medical condition requires returning you to your home country. Household contents insurance covers you against any unfortunate damage to your house due to fire, water damage, and theft, among others things.

Education in the Netherlands Most children start primary school (called basisschool in Dutch) the day after their 4th birthday; whenever that is throughout the year. From their 5th birthday, all children are obliged to go to school Pre-school education in the Netherlands Before a child reaches primary school age, he/she could go to daycare or preschool, or a combination of the two. Daycare is meant for children from about 10 weeks up to 4 years old. Most daycares only offer full-day contracts for 1 to 5 fixed days per week. In most cities, preschool starts at age 2 and is offered for an average of 15 hours per week, spread out over three days. Primary education in the Netherlands In the Netherlands, there is a distinction between an open bar and bijzondere schools. The openbare schools are both funded and run by an independent foundation that was originally set up by the government. They are always non-religious. About two-thirds of the population attend bijzondere (special) schools, which have their board and often follow particular religious or pedagogic principles. Secondary education in the Netherlands It has three levels of high school education, which go by the acronyms of VMBO, HAVO, and VWO. Bachelor and masters programs Some HBO institutes also offer a master’s program, for which you often need to have some relevant work experience. You can also do your bachelor’s at HBO, followed by a master’s at university. With the certificate of your first year of HBO (propedeuse), you may also continue your education at university. Education costs and funding Municipalities sponsor parents who cannot afford the voluntary parent contribution at the government-funded schools. They can also get a contribution towards after-school activities and other costs related to raising children. Some companies pay for the international education of the children of their employees, and sometimes these fees are tax-deductible. It is a good idea to ask your HR department if this is the case.

Embracing Immigration Makes Economic Sense, Too
I write this article to encourage any reader to embrace immigrants, immigration and the value they bring to our country.  Not only is it the right thing to do, but it also serves our own economic self-interest.
Despite the recovered economy and return to high levels of employment in recent years, there is clearly a political storm in Washington D.C. over the roles of executive leadership and issues regarding immigrants, their status, and what should be done to change things regarding immigrants.  I cannot begin to understand all the intricacies and do not claim to have any insight about this matter.
However, I will go beyond this to state what is the deeper cause of concern in our country: fiscal balance.  Ever since the policies of the 1980’s, we have seen large decreases in marginal tax rates for very high income earners and very high asset holders, as well as huge increases in government spending, largely on the military.  Despite growing up in Republican Orange County and continuing to sympathize with causes that promote veteran’s welfare, small business ownership, and trim, efficient and responsive government services, there is no ignoring that decreased tax rates and increased spending on military budgets creates deficit spending.  In 2019 alone, such policies may result in up to $1 trillion dollars of deficit spending, largely financed through issuing bonds and devaluing real cost of debt obligations by printing more US currency.  Long-term, this is not economically healthy or sustainable.
While this monetary policy is a huge, complex issue that has no singular solution, embracing immigration and immigrants is one factor that will help move us in the right direction.
Investment visas necessitate those immigrating from other countries invest over one million USD and employ 10 US citizens.  Not only does this bring wealth to our territory, but also creates a huge demand for US dollars abroad when home currency such as Chinese Renmenbi is traded to USD.  This translates to billions of dollars of investment, in US enterprises, while employing many US workers. Considering the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand have similar programs with similar deals, the US needs to be more welcoming so those with great wealth and great talent invest in our nation.
For immigrants desiring to study at US universities, almost every admitted student must pay the full cost of university, up front, without the subsidies that our state and federal government give.  Add to it their spending on cost of living, and we can see that more international students fund our universities.  Refusing visas to qualified students means tens of millions of USD forfeited per year, plus the academic presence they bring.
For those who fall into the “(hard) working class” we can still appreciate the value they bring. Most immigrants simply are doing the jobs that people domestically cannot or will not do with minimal salary and treatment.  Sending remittances abroad, etc. only helps US dollars stay valuable, as that money is largely circulated in those localities, rather than traded back to the US.
Even for those who are clearly alienated by society, having a more social attitude can clearly have benefits.  Having volunteered to teach both Syrian and Libyan refugees in Europe, and counseled them on Western cultural manners and female sensitivity training, I can say many are indeed willing to learn and change, if only provided organized pathways to do so and supportive guidance.
Last, let us understand the value of the fusion of diversity of thought, language and cultures to create a more vibrant, functional society.  Innovations in technology, science, art and even cuisine were possible by a mixing of cultures, peoples, ideas and aspirations.  However, societies that stifled movement and diverse thought in the name of ideological purity ended up stagnating and sometimes collapsing entirely.
The Joseph Klunder Education Challenge welcomes immigrants to embrace the opportunities and thrive in our society.
